Anyone who joins us for the movie meeting will receive an
exclusive Movie Club minipet!!

The Movie Club booth is not too extravagant.
There are what seems to be an unlimited supply
of popcorn filling the area and the smell is very fragrant,
enticing you to come to the booth. Behind the table, there
is a large screen that is playing a silent black and white thriller
film. It appears to be a fallen jox watching the area as well.

Action, Adventure, Romance, Comedy, Thriller/Suspense, Horror, Musical, and Drama.
Whatever tickles you fancy, we shall provide!
So, grab some snacks, take a seat and snuggle down!

Commenting during the movie is encouraged!

Usually you have to be enrolled student to be a part of movie club showings, but for the festival, quest characters are allowed to join as well! (Still no hunters, please)

✪ EATING CONTEST ✪

At the booth there are unlimited bags of popcorn. Buttery goodness that will make you sick to your stomach if you eat too much. All of it seems pretty freshly pooped, so it still has that delicious popcorn smell. Unless you happen to grab a rotten bag...

Welcome to the Movie Club Popcorn Eating Contest!

Roll 1d100 to determine how much people can stuff their face. If they roll 80+ the receive a token for the day. Players can roll up to 5 times a day.

Rolling 1-19: You barely could eat any of the popcorn, the first bag you grabbed was just plain disgusting.
Rolling 20-39: You could eat a few bags of salty popcorn before you become too thirsty to continue.
Rolling 40-59: You managed to eat several bags of popcorn, but the smell and taste of butter is making you want to gag.
Rolling 60-79: You ate very many bags of popcorn. So close, yet so far. You are beginning to feel like you regret eating this much popcorn.
Rolling 80-100: You are a popcorn eating champ! And you earned a well deserved token!

If there are less than 15 people who get an 80+ roll by the end of the day, everyone who participated that day gets to be raffled for any remaining tokens!

Bea quickly put up the booth as efficiently as she could. Doesn't look nearly as pretty as her own booth, but this will have to do for now. She looked down at her fallen jox and gave him a hug, "You be good, Yves. I'm trusting you with this booth! Remember to only give out the prize to the best popcorn eater," she kissed the jox on the forehead. "I'll be back later to check up on you."

Bea got up and was just about to go back to her election booth but then stopped in mid-step, "Oh yes, and when I come back I'll bring consolation prizes for the visitors who tried. Okay okay, Love you~" she blew a kiss to Yves and went on her way.

Yves stood by the movie club booth, watched Bea leave and, waited for the first visitor to arrive.

The smell of popcorn attracted a certain canine nose. Chaya slunk around from the back of the booth, her ears perked and quivering with interest at the smell of delicious snacks.

The fallenjox didn't seem inclined to chase her off the popcorn; Chaya helped herself to the contest fodder, wagging as she crunched. Partway through her fourth bag, though, her tail slowed as she began to feel a little queasy. Too much butter. Butter was one of the spectral hound's favorite treats, but it could also make her terribly sick; she conceded the rest of the bag with a sigh and a despondent look. Alas. :c

As he and his mom continued to wander around, his eye landed on a booth that had only recently opened, the movie club booth. The smell of popcorn wafted in the air, and though the zomboil was not a huge fan, he decided to take a stroll on over, to say hi if nothing else.

Oh, it seemed that Bea wasn't actually there at the moment. Though..hadn't he heard that she was running for an Student Council position this year? Right, she was probably manning another booth elsewhere! Well, he'd have to consider going to visit her later, then, to say hi and maybe get to know her better. He had joined her club, after all!

"I just joined the movie club not too long ago." He explained to his mom, who was looking the booth over, curiously.

"Oh? Well, that seems to suit you." She gave him a sidelong look and a smile. Really, any type of club that required doing nothing more then sitting and staring at a screen seemed like it would suit her son. "Are you going to try this eating contest?" She asked, gesturing towards the bags upon bags of popcorn.

"Ya sure, I might as well give it a go." He shrugged, though again he knew popcorn wasn't exactly his favorite thing in the world to eat.

Still he gave it a good go. He shoved handfuls upon handfuls of popcorn in his mouth, chomping it down, swallowing, repeating. Alex was an eating machine, this should have been no problem for him! But the popcorn itself was a bit dry, and very salty, and eventually he just felt like he couldn't handle anymore. His stomach was actually starting to hurt from all of the popcorn he'd shoved into it.

"Ugh, no more." He stated, looking slightly greener then usual. Still, he didn't want to admit defeat just yet. "How about we come back and I'll try again later? I think this was just too soon after that bag of candied brains you gave me." He grinned, and the two of them turned and strolled away.

Danny could smell popcorn at least ten miles away. It was her favorite food- her FAVORITE food, and here was a booth offering it for free. As much as she wanted. For free.

So of course she immediately began chowing down like it was nobody's business. A few nearby slimers were marveling at her ability to eat it, but Danny didn't care.

She just really liked popcorn.

Roch liked popcorn just fine--but Roch had also been snacking on pretty much everything around, and unlike his first year, he wasn't an idiot. When he started feeling a bit full, he stopped, and started looking for a soda to wash it down with.

"Dude you're a wuss," Danny commented from the side of her mouth. Roch might not have recognized her considering she was sort of shoved onto the side of the booth, had her hoodie up and headphones on. She was trying not to attract attention for once, because she had a lot of feelings about that horseman's kiss to Rikki, and didn't want to talk to anyone much.

... But at the same time, Roch was Roch. She'd always want to talk to him.

Regardless of her comment, Danny was starting to feel a little full as well. She walked over to Roch and bumped him with her hip. "I bet I can eat more than you ever could," she said, a taunting smile on her face.

Food eating contest commence.

Yves trotted up to Danny, pawed at her leg and tried to give her a token in jox slobber.

"I been hittin' every cupcake in the festival," Roch told her, but nonetheless he headed back for the popcorn bags--knowing he was going to regret this.

Not to mention he couldn't seem to beat her.

Danny was a chugging machine. It really did make sense- she hadn't eaten since coming to the festival, and Roch had been his weight in cupcakes. Not to mention it was her favorite food.

She jabbed him with her elbow and took a bag he was reaching for. "Maybe you're just gettin' old," she said, sticking out her popcorn-covered tongue at him.
