The sun had yet to set and the purple mare found herself awakening, strange she thought to herself this was rather early for her. However Peren did not seem upset about the early rise but rather it was an opportunity to see those in the herd she mostly missed with her nocturnal body clock.

Procyon laid out in the middle of a grassy field. He was out studying the patterns of the sun, watching as it set and waiting for the moon to appear in the sky. He was usually content to sit or wander and watch the sky all day long. He sighed contentedly as the time slowly passed.

Shifting her weight the mare got to her feet and tried to stretch in all directions at the same time, "Eek" she furrowed her brow as she felt a crinkle in her wing and rolled her eyes. With a chuckle she began to charge at the edge of the incline she'd settled to sleep and jumped, her wings spreading and catching the wind. As she soared steadily down she worked out the crinkle in her wing and let the breeze fully wake her.

As Procyon gazed up at the sky, he saw the silhouette of someone flying overhead. Curious, he allowed himself to be distracted from the sky and follow the stranger with his eyes instead. He hoped that whoever it is would land in the field; it had been a long time since he'd had any social interaction.

The sleepy drag had dissipated from around her eyes as she passed over a large field, being the perfect place to land and search for a drink to flush out her insides she circled round and steepened her descent. It took her two loops to lower enough to make a safe landing and it was on that second she saw the other star, the male of natural colours who blended well with the field. She wasn't one to ignore the company of another and as such as soon as she landed she called out and headed the short distance across grass towards him "Hello there!"

Procyon saw the mare's gorgeous coat and watched as her wings fluttered to her sides. He climbed to his feet, shaking miniscule bits of dirt and grass off of himself as he rose. "Hello," he said, just loudly enough to be heard. He began to move toward the mare. His muscles were glad to move after resting for so long.

Peren continued her merry trot over to the male, already smiling at the prospect of meeting someone new, giving no thought to as whether or not the other actually wanted company. As he moved towards her too it didn't matter it seemed, and it was only moments before they where in front of each other. "Such a beautiful end of the day, and to meet someone new, it is rather exhilarating! I am Peren." She bowed her head and dipped her body in a half curtsey.

He dipped the front of his body down in a bow. "I am Procyon," he said. "Did you also see the sunrise this morning? It was quite different, but equally beautiful." The stallion flicked his tail lightly, content to say little, and glad to have company. As the sun set, the air began to cool, and the breeze rustled softly through the fronds of grass.

The breeze sent her mane rustling about and she enjoyed every moment of it "A pleasure Procyon, I did not, though I do sometimes... I tend to sleep through when the sun is awake, as many in the herd the moon calls to me." She nodded as her tail flicked in the content scene. "I have not seen you before, this is usually when I discover I am related to the kind stranger I have just met." She chuckled it may of sounded unusual or make little sense but it was the story of her life within the herd and meeting new people.

He chuckled. "I sleep sporadically. I like to see the stars and the sky at all times of the day, and I frequently stay up much longer than I intend to, just watching the sky." Procyon tilted his head to the side and considered the mare carefully. "I do not think you will find me to be a relation," he said. "I do not know of anyone who is related to me, actually. I ... " he trailed off, lost in thought for a minute. "Well, I have had a recurring dream that I think tells me where I come from, but I can hardly believe it." He rolled one shoulder in a shrug.

"Ah" She nodded and listened intently, it was a relief that for once on herd land this was not likely another relation she had yet to meet. refreshing almost. Then as he continued she found a smile take over her face. "Don't dismiss things that seem unreal, I still discover every day things I could not dream of! Try to listen to your heart, your soul I'm sure it knows the truth." Unusual things where definitely the moonlight herds speciality, not that she could really compare to much else or other herds, but she still found herself shocked so often by just what was possible in this world.

"Thank you," he said to Peren. "I needed reassurance that I'm not just imagining things. The dream is always so vivid... I know what it feels like to be a part of the stars, to have consciousness but no body to hold you inside." Procyon gazed up at the sky again, looking for the stars that shone dimly in the darkening sky. "It is freeing, but I am enjoying having hooves to touch solid ground with," he said, prancing slightly.

Moving forward she placed a wing gently on the stallions shoulder "It sounds like your not to me, if horses can be tigers and others fall from world where they are dragons and queens... well I think it's safe to say nothing is impossible." She removed her wing as not to push the boundaries of personal space. "Up there..." She motioned up to the stars "Could you look down and watch us all?"

Procyon blinked slowly and thought for a while before answering. Some parts of the dream were so clear, but others were fuzzy and mixed together; much harder to decipher. "It would be possible, but there are so many things to see and so much to watch that I don't know if any of us watched closely at all. I can't speak for the others, though, and I can't seem to connect with them to talk since I came here, either," he said softly. "What do you think?" he asked. "Do you think some of them watch over us?"

Peren found herself again listening to every word he had to say, though most didn't make any sense she still tried to take it all in. "I think so, there are others here who where once stars and I remember them saying they did, anything is possible right?" She found herself stretching out her front legs and searching about her surroundings. "Shall we continue this conversation and find some breakfast? Or rather whatever meal you are currently on." She focussed her sight on the stallion.
