Away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, Shun managed to locate the koi pond that wasn't too far off from the main area with the booths. There were far less people here, and it was also a lot quieter. Moving on towards the water's edge, he could see some koi swimming around, and it looked like they had some food set out to feed them. Letting go of Mitsu's wrist, he knelt down and dipped his left hand into the pond. The water was rather cool, so it did sooth the pain in his hand right now.
While he did this, he glanced over towards his wolf, trying to see how she was fairing. He had noticed that she was still fairly nervous earlier, but he wanted to see if she had calmed down at all.
"Are... you feeling any better around here?" he asked quietly while watching her carefully, trying to gauge how she felt right now.

She had been tense moving through the crowd but as they got closer to the koi pond and the people began to thin out Mitsu's nerves began to settle. As soon as Shun let go of her wrist she stood in place awkwardly while she watched him soak his injured hand in the water. Here at least she didn't seem as flighty but she still glanced around like she expected an ambush.
Hearing Shun ask her a question Mitsu nodded slightly, shuffling closer to sit beside him. This was far more stimulation than she bargained for and because of that she was wearing out fast. Her eyes looked tired but for now she calmly gazed down into the pond at the fish as they same by.

She nodded, but Mitsu was looking rather tired. Shun could see it in her eyes. But at least now she looked to be fairly calm. Taking his hand out of the water, he looked it over briefly, then looked back to her.
"Alright. We can stay here for awhile... Then.. I'll leave it up to you if you want to go home from here. Or go back to the festival. You look tired."
He didn't want to exhaust her.

At least it was quiet here. That was enough to settle Mitsu a little as she gazed into the water zoning out slightly as Shun looked over his hand. When he spoke again she came back to reality, a hopeful expression on her face when he mentioned going back home. Only...she knew he would be disappointed if they left wouldn't he? Sure she was tired but he had tried so hard to get her to come out. Maybe she could just pretend she was okay and go back to the festival. It wouldn't be too long right?
Nodding for now Mitsu went back to watching the fish grabbing a nearby cup of fish food so that she could throw a few pieces into the water. Immediately fish swam to the surface, eager mouths gulping at the food before they swam away.

Shun wasn't sure what Mitsu's nod meant exactly, but for now he just relaxed off to the side, watching the fish swim around to eat the food she had tossed into the pond.
"In the case that you do want to go back to the festival, I'm going to leave it to you for when we leave. I don't know how much of this you can take.. I just wanted you to get out and meet with some friends and hopefully have some fun. Whenever you're ready.. .we can head back," he said quietly.
He carefully dried off his left hand, then shifted so that he was sitting by the water rather than crouching.

Well the answer to that Shun would have been none of it. Everything, even her friends had her on edge. This so far was the most peaceful part and it was only the two of them. It did make Mitsu worry to a point. Was she ever going to be able to trust being around people again? There was just a gnawing nagging feeling that told her the Hunters were always in the shadows waiting and bidding their time. They were going to take her from her home and finish what they started.
Chills ran up her spine and Mitsu wrapped her arms around herself, that distant look in her eyes settling in that she often got when she was lost in thought in another place. Back in the lab where she continued to mentally relive what happened.
Absentmindedly Mitsu nodded again. It was the only conformation Shun was going to get at the moment as she stared off into space.

And there she went again, zoning out. Not only that but she was huddling around herself. Looking insecure. It was something that Mitsu did a lot as of late, and quite frankly it was really starting to worry Shun. He frowned lightly, wondering if they really should head on back home. Slowly, he reached out to gently nudge her. There was concern apparent in his good eye as he looked at her.

Reality was a thankful reprieve from her sudden daymare she had been having. Hugging herself tightly Mitsu came back around with the nudge turning to Shun to see what he needed. When all she was met with was concern she turned her head down mouthing the word 'sorry.' She had obviously spaced again.
Maybe it would be best to move on and have something to occupy her mind other than just the quiet. Standing Mitsu waited for Shun to join her before she hesitantly pointed back toward the festival. Its where he wanted her to go so she supposed she would try to endure.
When he seemed ready Mitsu shuffled her way back toward the festival, small hesitant steps but they were at least taking her in that direction. She could pretend to be okay. At least for a little while longer.

As Mitsu began to walk off, Shun got up and reached out to stop her.
"Wait. Let's... let's go home. I want to talk to you. These... moments where you just zone out into some strange trance. They worry me. I think that's a little more important than helping you get back out and about right now..." he said quietly.

It was a surprise that he stopped her and she turned around slowly to face him as he spoke. The zoning out was getting to him apparently but Mitsu was at a loss for what to tell him. She couldn't help where her mind wandered but he had originally wanted her to go to the festival to break out of her shell and they were already here.
She pointed toward the festival again knowing that's what Shun wanted from this trip. He didn't want her holed up in her room and despite his sudden worry she was certain that's what he still wanted. Resting a hand on his arm she tried to give him her best reassuring 'I'll be fine' look.

Shun watched her for some time as she pointed back towards the festival. As she rested a hand onto his arm, he looked down at it and gently took it into his own. Though, movements from his left hand were still stiff as it was currently still damaged and all.
"Are you sure about this..?" he asked softly, "We can go back and have you come out of your room again some other time. I don't want you to be stressed out here."
That was a part of the guess for her zoning out. Stress. One way or another. He was having a hard time figuring out what was best for her really. He thought bringing her out in the open would have helped.
"Either way... I want to talk to you... once we get back. Or.. try to talk to you at least.."
She might not be willing to speak to him. A lot of the times it was more of a one sided conversation.

Her gaze softened as he took her hand and asked if she was sure. To that she nodded though she knew she was going to be stressed she was just going to have to get better at hiding it. For his sake.
Nodding once again in agreement to talking later she turned with Shun's hand still in her own trying to keep in mind not to squeeze it. Walking a few more steps she suddenly decided it would be safer just to loop her arm through his. Yes. No crushing bones this way. At least she hoped.

Watching her a little longer, Shun nodded quietly while letting her loop her arm around his. Pulling her close, he just quietly made his way back towards the festival. Time to find another booth. And hopefully it won't end up scaring the girl.

Amphi had come to take a breath from the booths. While she had made Avery's her home booth, she had wandered around and visited Lizzy's and Danny's and the horsemen.
Of course the horsemen's booth was the worst of them all. Horsemen were so weird! It wasn't like she disliked them, because lets be honest, if not for the horsemen she would be one deep fried fish in the form of a weapon.
Roch didn't seem to like them but that was okay too. Roch seemed to like a lot of people and not like a lot of people.
Amphi just hated Lou.
She stared at the koi pond, her finger dipping in it just to talk to the fish as she stared at the pretty scales gleaming underneath. This was a nice break from the festival....
