xxxxxPron. Sir – in – etey Neev Ken-dur-men
xxxxxSerenity: From the English word meaning "serenity, tranquility", ultimately from Latin serenus meaning "clear, calm". Serenity was given her name by her mother, after she was born with what her mother described as ‘a look of utter contentment’. It was also the name of her Great-great-grandmother.
xxxxxNiamh: Means "bright" in Irish. She was the daughter of the sea god in Irish legends. She fell in love with the poet Oisín, son of Fionn. Niamh was chosen as a middle name due to her father’s Irish heritage.
Nicknames: Ultimately she prefers her full name, but if you must shorten it, she’ll answer to Rin also.
Age: Eighteen
Birthday: December 25th
Sign: Capricorn
Blood Type: O
Fav. Food: Waffles, with honey and sugar on top
Hated Food: Peppers, but only the green and yellow ones. Red peppers she’ll eat happily.
School: Crystal Academy
Hobbies:
Ice-Skating – There is only one ice-skating rink in the city, but Serenity owns it when it comes to ice-skating. She’s a talented ice-skater, with her parents putting in the money for private tuition from a world-class champion. Serenity takes part in national competitions, and is tipped as the girl to be chosen to compete in upcoming international competitions too. However, she’s quite secretive about her hobby, afraid of being judged, especially as she feels skating is the only time she can really express herself fully.
Skiing – Having wealthy parents has lead to having many extravagant holidays, but the most memorable for Serenity have been the skiing holidays. Whilst not as talented a skier as she is an ice-skater, she isn’t bad. Skiing is more of something to do to enjoy herself, rather than something she constantly works at to get better.
Music – Whilst not a musician as such, Serenity is the organizer and conductor in the Crystal Academy orchestra, being rather talented at transposing music onto different keys, or even writing her own. She can play the violin, but not to the level required for such a prestigious school’s orchestra, and as such she instead remains where her gifts are more useful.
Gemstone: Turquoise
Virtues:
Generous – Serenity is a very generous young girl, happy to help you out if you’re in need of any help. She’s sensible with her money, and will only give it to you if you really need it, but convincing her of that shouldn’t be too difficult. It isn’t only her money she’d generous with, however, always happy to stay behind after school to help you out with your school work, or dropping whatever she was doing to come around and try help you decide which dress you should buy.
Level-headed – Despite coming from an extremely wealthy family and attending a private school, Serenity is a very down-to-earth girl, knowing that it’s wrong to look down on others just because they’re less fortunate than her. She isn’t one for the ridiculous rivalries between the schools, but despite this can’t help but want to stay away from the Hillworth boys. From all the things she’s heard, she doesn’t really want to approach them, but is willing to give them a chance should she meet them.
Independent – Her wealth doesn’t come from no-where – Serenity doesn’t see too much of her parents, due to them constantly being out of the house, working. Because of this she’s grown into quite an independent woman, perfectly happy to look after herself. This in turn has improved her organization, and she now has the art of what order things should be done once she arrives home from school to a tee. Her parents don’t believe in hiring ‘help’, but Serenity doesn’t mind. She’ll often invite a friend home after school, so she isn’t quite as lonely.
Flaws:
Clingy – Serenity, in all honesty, is a rather clingy child. She’ll meet you, and want to know everything about you. And by everything, I mean it. She’ll want to know your name, where you live, how many siblings you have, your favourite flavour of ice cream. Once you’re Serenity’s friend, you can’t get away from that. She’ll follow you around, always make sure to greet you in the corridor, and even ‘happen’ to run into you on the street. It sometimes gets a little creepy.
Trusting – Having been told by her parents, her friends, and her teachers, it still hasn’t helped. Serenity is entirely too trusting to strangers, and has been known to invite someone back to her home after a mere fifteen minute conversation. She’ll give you as many chances as you need to prove to her that you’re a good person, and she’s ever the optimist, always looking for the best in someone. Even if it isn’t actually there.
Know-It-All – She just…can’t help it, sometimes. You don’t know something, she does, so she’ll tell you. Even if you don’t want to know. Serenity can come across as arrogant at times like these, although she genuinely doesn’t mean to. It just…happens. She has a wide variety of knowledge, and is a fairly intelligent girl, which means she always knows the answer. So, of course, she’ll always put her hand up, making her seem a bit of a teacher’s pet too.
Physical Description:
Hair: Serenity has snow-white hair, as white as the day she was born on. Her hair is fairly long, reaching just past her shoulders, and it’s styled with a side parting, a shorter fringe framing the right side of her face. She often wears a bow in her hair, the same colour as whatever she’s wearing.
Eyes: Pale – very, very pale. As if it wasn’t surprising enough for her parents, that their baby, born on Christmas day, had white hair, her eyes were practically white too. Infact, they’re not – they’re just a very, very pale blue. Think ice-blue.
Face: Serenity has a rather round face, with sticky-out ears that she hates.
Body: Serenity’s a petite girl, only reaching 5’0”, but with a slim figure to make up for it. Her legs are perhaps a little fatter than she’d like, but hey – you can’t be perfect.
Fashion: Designer clothing is often on the cards with Serenity, although she much prefers the –prettier’ of the clothes. Dresses, skirts and other feminine clothes are what you’ll most often see her in, perhaps with an alice band in her hair as a change to the usual bow.
