Lolly had been travelling for months - at first she had tried to get to her friend herself, but the mountain they had taken her to was well guarded and after a few chases she'd given up on that idea. There was simply no way that she could not only slip into that place...but successfully get out with her friend too. No this was a job for someone else, someone larger..someone more powerful.
But sadly everyone she had approached so far had proved to be less then ideal..they either wanted payment of some sort, which she couldn't provide, had laughed at her outright or all been turned back by the first show of the mountains forces. No it seemed impossible and yet, she had heard of another to try.
He was supposed to be an old warrior, a General or Knight - maybe both at different times throughout his life - but regardless of the title he went by now, it was well known that he would help people. Rumors said he wouldn't turn anyone in need away - well..his friend was certainly in need and so Lolly had followed the rumors and come in search of this shaggy white Knight. She was fairly certain that she was in the right place, being a goat the patrols had mostly left her alone, as long as she nibbled on some grass here and there and looked harmless enough as she watched the herd. She had watched them train, she had seem Ironforge in action along with some rainbow stallion that seemed quite formidable but most of all she had seen that they were kind and good. A skittish animal she would not approach until she had deduced such things and when she finally did approach the shaggy stallion it was while he was alone in a rare moment of relaxation. Lolly regretted interfering with the stallions rest...but her friend needed her, she had already been a captive of the mountain for far..far to long.
Slipping out of the bushes Lolly slowly approached the large white Soquili "Mr Ironforge sir?" She asked hesitantly "...I am in need of your help"
Ironforge was not surprised when the goat came out of the undergrowth - he had been aware of her presence lurking about the herdlands for nearly half a moon cycle, she had seemed to be watching but not causing any trouble and so while his scouts had kept an eye on her - to make sure she wasn't some sort of spy or scout - he had otherwise told them to leave her be. When she was ready to approach with whatever had brought her here then she would.
"I was wondering when you might come forward" Ironforge told the little goat, shifting to look at her when she spoke. "I was starting to think you might have just decided to move in." He stated with a light tone and a warm look. Goats were skittish creatures - like deer - it was always best to put them as ease before getting into the nitty gritty of the situation else they were apt to bound off in mid sentence.
"you..you knew I was here?" Lolly asked, momentarily distracted from her purpose.
"Of course..it is my herd" Ironforge told the goat "Now what brings you to me?"
Shaking off the surprise as she found out that she hadn't been nearly as sneaky as she had thought herself to be Lolly stepped forward and eyed the stallion "I had to be sure you were what everyone said you were...you see my friend is in trouble and she needs your help" Lolly told the stallion in a pleading tone.
The tone of the goats voice was enough to tell Ironforge that the little beast was quite desperate, enough to tell him that she truly thought that her friend was not only in trouble..but in deep and dangerous trouble. Motioning with his head Ironforge urged the goat to follow "Perhaps you should start from the beginning" He told the little doe. "And then I'll see if I can help."
"Oh you must Sir...your the only hope she has left..." Lolly told him as she fell into step beside him and started to relay her story to the larger stallion. When she had finished the terrible tale of abduction and slavery she looked up hopefully at the large beast. "Will you help?"
Ironforge had listened with growing horror to the goats story - a mare kidnapped, living for the last few months as a slave to some mutant tyrant and her minions in a mountain fortress? It was almost to outlandish to believe and yet Ironforge knew that such things did indeed happen, had seen similar things before...and having been made aware of the situation he couldn't very well let it continue. "Of course" Ironforge told the doe "We will save your friend." He promised.
"Prospector!" He called for the Wopletinger who was never far from his side.
"Yes sir?" The winged rabbit answered as he came from the bushes.
"Summon Camaria..and alert Kale and Mercy that I will be needing them..Zhevra too perhaps" He added. He would need to tell the others of this atrocity..and then they would need to plan. First thing was first however, they needed more information then the goat could supply.
"You must tell Camaria your story little doe, so that she can gather the information we need" He told the goat, hoping that the addition of others would not frighten her off.
"Anything" Lolly promised with an uncharacteristic display of bravery "Anything to save my friend"
