Aque was lounging on the passenger's seat of Ellie's pet project in the garage. He took up the whole seat, making it look like there was a giant puffball of grey, brown, white, and black fur nested there. The heat was causing the poor dog to feel wilted, tongue flopped out of his mouth as he panted fiercely.

Underneath the vehicle was the tomboy, two legs peeking out from under the vehicle. Usually she'd leave the garage door open, but due to the presence of a certain dog, she had to leave it shut as she worked in case someone accidentally caught her dog's attention. Last thing she needed to do was bump her head, then attempt to chase after a run away dog!

It had been a long haul, but her baby, the Vortex, was nearly finished up. The outside of the vehicle looked like perfection. If it weren't for the fact that it needed a coat of paint, it would look something out of the factory. Unfortunately, there were still small issues which meant that her project still needed tweaking.

The animal sitting in the front seat lifted his head, ears perked up at full attention. His nose snuffled a bit, as if catching a scent from the other side of the garage door. Once he had his course of action decided, Aque rather easily hopped out of the seat and out of the door of the vehicle and ran up to the edge of the garage door. He started to circle the area, letting out rather informative "Wuffs!"

Someone was on the other side. Ellie, someone was on the other side. ELLIE?!! Didn't you hear him?! SOMEONE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS DOOR, OPEN IT PLEASE!

"...I hear ya, Aque... come on..." Casually she pushed herself out from under the vehicle and then meandered to a button near the door leading to the house.

"Aque... back!"

The dog backed up several steps, still letting out many a "Wuff," but sat his rump down after he followed the order.

The girl hit the button, and soon the garage was opening up. Before she even saw who was on the other side, the girl was already calling out in a loud voice "SUP?!"

It had taken a while for Sheldon to finally get off his lazy a** and seek out Ellie Spectre. It had taken a few random encounters with others, a boring meeting and a few minutes here and there over a couple of weeks looking online to get him to just... go ask someone. Of course, the one person he would have probably wanted to, he didn't know who he was as a civilian and it couldn't be said that the boy knew many ... people per say, friends if one was pushing it and certainly he had no idea where people lived.

Well, except Ellie. But even that was a little bit of a trial since he was mostly around her home as a cat. And cat bodies were a little more nimble - well, were supposed to be - and able to go places his lanky body couldn't. So, retracing a path was a challenge; for someone with pretty damn good memory, his photographic was terrible.

But he found that familiar garage door and that lawn and that front door and stared at it for a few good minutes, his hands finally letting go of the handlebars of his little Brillo. Sheldon was never good with visiting people, he felt terribly awkward and worried and honestly had no idea what Ellie was going to do to him for stopping by - like... hit him.

Pulling himself away from his moped, Sheldon fiddled with the straps on his helmet as he neared the garage on his way to the front door. His body tensed up hearing the dog barking, remembering that beast all too well and having to remind himself that he was not a cat this time. It gave that garage door a perfect amount of time to open up with the blonde standing there a good view of his frightened face, holding his helmet to his chest like a shield.

"Uh... hey." He replied.

In all honesty, she hadn't been expecting Sheldon by any means. She had been expecting the mail man, or some other common visitor to be outside of her garage.

Instead she found a pale green haired boy who almost looked like he was ready to soil himself.

"...okay..." she said carefully.

The dog, who had been sitting with his tailess rump practically wagging against the ground, eagerly bounced up to his paws and ran to the new person. He pressed his nose against the boy, invading any sense of personal space, snuffling eagerly. This smell was interesting, and so was this one!

Walking to the edge of her garage, she called out "So... there a reason fer yer visit, Hobbes?"

There was an obvious started reaction when Aque pressed himself against him. Sheldon wasn't used to dogs all too much, and the last time he had encountered this particular one he had been a lot smaller and a little out of his element. So it was weird, but after a few moments of letting the dog invade his personal space, he managed to pry one hand off his helmet and reached down to ruffle the fur on the dog's head. "Hello.. again."

The question from Ellie pulled him back to the matter at hand and he lifted his head back to look at her. "Oh, yeah..." It wasn't like he had had this whole speech prepared or anything, but he still found himself unable to figure out how to approach her about this. Maybe if they had been in their powered forms there would be some sort of segway but no, Sheldon had to show up out of the blue.

"Well, not sure how to do this..." he admitted, "I kind of wanted to ask you about space, though not sure if this is the best place... to do it." Ellie had yelled at him the last time about powered stuff, and they were still out in the open and in her own neighborhood.

A pair of ears twitched as fingers found a place to scratch on his head. It wasn't quite the right spot, but the canine easily moved his head to accommodate. A pair of mismatched eyes easily looked at the young man eagerly, seemingly content with situation.

The blonde meandered over as the green haired boy spoke, and by the time he spat out the request, he had a blonde practically behind him shoving him forward into the garage. "...Jus' get inside... ain't nobody home but me an' th'dog..."

Ellie glanced to the dog and uttered out "Aque... come!" and soon enough the dog's attentions were off the boy and on the girl. With his tongue still flopping out, he eagerly followed the girl as she soon enough followed suit, reentering the garage.

Only once everyone was inside, she went back to the spot where the garage button was and hit it so the door would close.

"...so... what'bout space?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 13, 2012 11:19 pm

Sheldon didn't protest or struggle as the blonde pushed him into the garage, mostly lost in thought of how he had gotten to this point and if there was any chance in hell he could escape at the last minute. But then he noticed the doors closing behind them. He was stuck. With Ellie and her dog who was.. staring at him.

And now, as before, he had to figure out how to explain this all out without sounding like an idiot. Why didn't he prepare. "So, uh space," he began, no this didn't seem to be starting off strong. Sheldon began to fiddle with the straps of his helmet. Just ask, nice and simple and to the point.

"I wanted to know how the whole going to space thing worked." Yes, nice and simple. "I mean, we went to the moon and another page told me that going to other planets was possible," the green haired boy went on to explain, "actually, he gave me an odd look like I should have known it was possible...."

The blonde didn't seem interested in what the other guy was saying, seeming to find herself more interested in hoisting up her dog rather randomly. The dog let out a small grunt, but seemed quite content with the attention, licking her cheek.

"...Yer gonna hate me, Aque..." she uttered as she wandered over to a kennel towards the corner of the garage. She leaned down and shoved the animal into the sort of cage.

The canine, figuring out what was going on, let out a whining sound. How could his Ellie do this to him? She was going to leave him all by his lonesome again. Quite quickly, the garage was filled with the cries of a very unhappy dog.

Rather than address what Sheldon had said to start, the blonde turned to him and loosely gestured to the now caged animal. "Suffers from separation anxiety..." she explained in a nearly apologetic manner. However, soon after that, she opened the door to her house and motioned for the boy to follow.

"Yeah... space. It happens... I'll be honest... I don't know how it works fer... knights and junk. I only know how it works fer senshi..." It seemed as if she was willing to give him what answers she was able at least.

He couldn't be sure if it was because Aque was being ushered - or well, carried - away from him (trust Ellie to pick up that dog like that), or if it was finally getting the question out. But, Sheldon could finally feel his nerves returning to him. There was still fidgeting with his helmet though, he just felt the need to do something with his hands.

Sheldon spared a glance at the wailing animal, a little bit of sympathy reaching his features as the unhappy barking grew a little bit louder. "Why not just leave him out then?" He asked her. True, the dog was making him a little uncomfortable but it didn't seem like he was going to be in her garage that long.

Not when she didn't seem to have the information he was looking for. Sheldon frowned, even though there was at least a little bit of a lead. "How does it work for you guys then?" He asked. His only knowledge was what had taken them to the moon, unless that was the only means, but from her tone... perhaps there was something else.

Ushering the boy into her house, she soon enough was walking up the stairs. The comment about leaving the dog in a bit more of an open space was noted, and she easily replied "I'd rather not have t'hunt fer any dog vomit." It wasn't a common occurrence, but Aque had on several occasions gotten himself a little more worked up than he should and vomited. After maybe 2 or so times cleaning up the messes, the tomboy had easily learned her lesson.

At the top of the stairs, she made her way to her bedroom, opening the door and wandering in. It wasn't mentioned, but it seemed like she expected him to continue to follow. "First rule fer any sort of space travel... ya gotta find some place safe t'shove off. Where ya start off is where ya return to eventually... so if the place is prone t'havin' any sorts of visitors there without yer consent... you'll have a lot of explaining t'do."

If he happened to follow her into her room, she'd soon enough slip up to the door and shut it behind him. "Fer me... my bedroom is that place." It wasn't his first time being in her room, and in all honesty, nothing had really changed about the place. It was still decently messy, clothing tossed about, and still seemed much more like a boy's room than a girl's.

Sidewinding a bit, she managed to swoop in low to grab her usual denim backpack. She gestured to the bathroom and mentioned "I'm gonna go change..." It seemed logical, since she was in a garage suit. The blonde didn't wait for a response and soon enough walked in and shut the door to the bathroom directly connected to her bedroom.

Oh, they were moving again. This time in the house proper. Sheldon still didn't put up much of a protest, but shot Ellie an odd glance at the mention of her dog's excitement levels - he wasn't aware that would happen with animals, then again he never owned one in his lifetime.

So, he followed her up the stairs, the ends of his fingers drumming lightly on helmet he still had in his hands, and not in the least expecting her to begin stating some rules. His attention had drifted to the rest of her house, to see any differences, when it shot back to her as she spoke. And spoke oddly, okay some of it made sense but at the same time it didn't. Shove off?

The journey continued into her room, and the green haired boy followed her in silence as she continued to rattle off instructions and closed the door behind her. Sheldon maneuvered through the clutter as she went about her doings.

"Oh, okay," He finally said when she stated her intentions to change. The lanky youth made his way to the edge of her bed to sit down, settling his helmet next to him as he waited, mentally going over her strange list as he glanced around her room. How similar these principles would work for him, he had to wonder, maybe she knew of a knight they could ask... maybe that's where she was going to take him.

Before she even reopened the door, a powerful energy began to leak from the spot. Not that Sheldon would really notice, since he was still merely a Sheldon. He might have heard a muffled version of her henshin phrase, but in all honesty that would have been the boy's only clue as to what had really happened.

The door swung open and out popped Eternal Sailor Iris. At hand she had a bottle of sunscreen which she tossed towards Hobbes and the bed. It landed pretty close to him, and fortunately didn't pop open and gush out sunscreen everywhere.

"...yer gonna need some of that..." she suggested in a knowing tone before adding "...and ya probably should change... whenever yer ready... stand next t'me and... I guess put a hand on my shoulder or somethin'..."

She already had pulled out a yellow cell phone with a rainbowy panel from seemingly nowhere. Rather than glare at her companion, she closed her eyes and cleared her mind for the moment. She wasn't going anywhere until the guest had prepared himself though.

When Ellie stepped back out in all Sailor Iris glory, Sheldon yelped out of surprise and recoiled in a pathetic manner and with a grimace on his face. That was unexpected, totally unexpected. (What had she even said about transforming in such places, this was her house!) He had heard something coming from the other room but he mostly just figured it was typical Ellie-like noises or something and didn't pay much attention.

No. He was wrong and now he had a bottle of sunblock sailing towards him. Thankfully, Iris didn't seem to think Sheldon had very good catching skills and aimed for the bed. He still hid his face with his arms though, not realizing. "Wait, where are we going?" He asked, untangling himself and reaching for the object at his side. But stopped himself from taking it just yet. Iris had told him to change.

Sheldon looked up at the blonde for confirmation, but by now she had already taken out a phone.. from.. somewhere and was closing her eyes. The green haired boy quirked a brow as he cleared his mind, letting himself calm down to transform himself. It wasn't as spectacular a sight as the senshi got, just a little warp and shift of his clothing - no fun special phrases either - and when he stood up from the bed he was suddenly in different clothing and going by a different name.

Reaching out, Kailash grabbed the bottle of sunblock that had been thrown at him before he used his other to hesitantly place it on her shoulder like instructed. (Oh damn.. he forgot his cigarettes....)

The eternal senshi's bond with her world was strong. It didn't take too long for tomboy to relocate the sound of her world. It actually took Sheldon (but now Kailash) longer to get into place.

The moment he had touched her shoulder, she initially jerked a bit, not truly expecting the touch at that specific moment. However, she brushed it off and loosened up in an effort to make it seem like no big deal. Instead, she pushed a button on her phone.

She had done this many a time, but the moment she had pushed the button, she was expecting some sort of wild reaction from her traveling companion. They disappeared from the Earth, though to the Page, it would seem as if the surroundings about them had suddenly changed into something completely different.

They had arrived on the asteroid of Iris. The familiar heat of the world clung to her body and seemed to radiate off the darkly colored sands. With a practiced wave of the hand, her phone once more vanished into a little pocket of subspace, and the girl's eyes opened.

Along the landscape were the ruins of various wooden carts, similar to what folks could remember seeing in their history books when learning about the Oregon Trail. It wasn't a very lively looking place.

"...so... I wonder... Kailash... does any of this look familiar to you? Or ya gonna do somethin' stupid now that we're on my asteroid?" She turned and smirked at him, as if expecting him to take the second option.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 14, 2012 8:01 pm

Wild reaction? It really didn't seem to him that he would have had time for one. But Kailash' gold eyes went crazy wide when he felt the shift and the only thing he could get out of his mouth was "By cellphone?!" Before they weren't in Ellie's bedroom on Earth but a new place entirely.

He didn't know when, but at some point during their short journey he had held his breathe. And kept it held as his still obnoxiously large eyes noticed the stars and the sky above them. And the heat, wow, the heat. Holy s**t.

But, the stars. Holy s**t, the stars! Kailash's grip on the sunscreen loosened and the bottle fell to the sand with a soft thunk. And only when Iris addressed him, did he finally let go of the air he had been holding in. ".... how do these places have air...." he mumbled in a pathetically small voice, as he had when the group had gotten on the moon.

It made no sense, and the blonde's question didn't either. He turned his yellow eyes to her, confused, "should it?" He asked, "Wait... we're on Iris?" He looked out again, paying no attention to the carts or anything on the actual landscape. Kailash couldn't see Earth, "holy s**t..."

"Holy s**t," he repeated again, "it's hot here..."

The question he asked in regards to her prompt seemed to be quickly dismissed, but instead it was tucked away in the back of her brain. He didn't remember, which in all honesty, was expected.

It's too soon...

Spinning upon her white boot to face him a bit more directly, she gave him a bit of an explanation. "Welcome to the Asteroid of Iris, once the home of the Iridians. World without a natural source of water, home of nomads, and only had one city... off in..." She paused to point over a specific mound of dark sand "...that direction..."

The blonde once more turned, but this time as she turned, her outfit shifted again. The skirt flowed out until it was touching the sands itself. Her headband changed into something a little more ornate, and her tiara faded to reveal a symbol upon her forehead.

"Be grateful that it is getting close to evening... it is much hotter during the day. We are literally standing in a desert, Kailash."

A calm smile formed upon her lips as she once more turned to face the knight.
