After the fiasco that was Battle of the Bands, Danny was visiting her friend for no particular reason. She didn't need a reason to visit Amphi. They were perfectly fine just the way they were, which was OTP.
Danny had a very important question to ask. She'd been thinking about it for some time now and ... it really just seemed like a good time, and a good person to ask it to. She fiddled with the paper in her pocket, still not really sure what to do with it.
"Amphiiiii," she squealed, pounding on the door with both fists and a foot too. "AMPHIIIIIIIIII." This was a special question. Something she could only ask Amphi.

Amphi was swimming in the aquarium when Danny's pounding on the door commenced. In fact, she could feel the beating of her poor door from her water and came rushing out, drying herself so that she could welcome the guest.
The door burst open with a very scantily clad mermaid looking at a very exciting fire demon.
Her phone was out in a second.

As soon as the door was open, Danny was hugging Amphi. She couldn't help it, the mermaid was like a magnet to her. If Amphi was in the room somewhere, Danny was slowly working her way over to attach herself and never let go.
"Amphiiiii~" she cooed, wrapping her arms around the ghoul. It was rather strange not feeling Amphi's skin on her arms, because for once in her life she was actually in a jacket.
She walked the ghoul into her room, not letting go of their now mobile hug. She didn't dare take more than a few steps though, considering Amphi's aquarium could BURST AT ANY SECOND. She'd be safe and sound right here, yes. "I have questionsss."

Amphi silently wrapped her arms back around the ghoul and frowned at the pure lack of skin touching. there was fabric over the fire ghoul's arms and that was not okay. It was like she couldn't FEEL her friend.
She moved like Danny did, arms still hugging around the ghoul as she maneuvered into the room, the door shutting behind her as she looked up at Danny.
Silent expression said 'what?' and then cocked to the right with a look that mirrored...'questions?'

Danny had her mouth open, ready to speak when she realized they were still remarkably close to the door. What if some monster had his ear on the door? What if someone was listening to her right now?
She weighed her options. It was either stay close to the door and get listened in on, or move away towards the room, and fear the impending watery dorm. She gave a frustrated little sigh and then picked Amphi up with one arm by the waist and carried her further into the room, setting her on the bed, and then finding a spot on the blankets next to the mermaid. She crossed her legs and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper, still not showing to to Amphi.
"Um ... I was wondering like ...hmm ... if you ...? Err ..." This was awkward and ghouly, and Danny was uncomfortable.

Amphi wriggled in the demon's hold as she just carted her over to the bed and then sat her down. A brief moment of: > o <;;; before she was comfortable and sitting down, the fire ghoul next to her.
The only way to urge the demon on was well...she put both her hands on Danny's cheeks and squished them.
As if to say, TELL ME DANNY. WHAT DO YOU WANT? AMPHI WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.

"UMFII UH CUHNT TUHK LICK DIS," she said as her cheeks were squished, which loosely translated to "Amphi I can't talk like this!"
It didn't mean she disliked the cheek squshing.

"Do you ever ... think about like ... being married and stuff," she mumbled, hands in her lap and face beaming red. Ghouly talk was way, way beyond her scope of comfort. So far.
By this time the paper was getting crumpled in her hands she was so nervous. What if Amphi laughed at her for these questions? What if she was doing this all wrong?

Amphi blinked at the question before flushing and then looking to the bed spread, fiddling with it.
Of course she entertained the thought of being married, she had read many romance novels just because of the idea of love and romance. But it was also something she didn't understand. She lived with ghouls all her lives, and not just ghouls but...mermaids.
Mermaids who specialized in killing of male kinds. Only Undine had experience with a boil and even then it had ended with his death.
She played with the bedspread again before looking at Danny. Her phone was out in a second.Quote: I guess but...not with Roch yet! We just started dating! Why do you ask!??!

"No!" Danny squeaked at the sight of Roch's name. "I um ... I don't mean like with anyone specific or like ... a date or anything." She said, gesturing in front of her, mirroring Amphi's flustered behavior. Danny was dumb, but she knew she didn't want to get married any time soon. A wedding as a teenager just seemed so nerve-wracking and early! Way too early!
She sighed and muttered, "I just mean like ... what you're going to wear or like ... cake and stuff." The sort of far off romantic details that it really seemed only ghouls thought about.
Danny wrapped her arms around Amphi and put her head on the mermaid's shoulder. "Ughhh that sounds so dumb," she said, chastising her own thoughts. The paper ball slipped back into her jacket pocket, and then Danny's arms resumed resting on Amphi's stomach.

Amphi smiled at the flustered ghoul and then looked around. Well if they weren't talking about her and Roch then...She smiled dreamily and nodded.Quote: Sometimes I think of..if I have a landwalkers wedding...I would like a big dress...white and blues. Pearls and such... Quote: I like to think of flowers too...I want a lot of flowers in my wedding. If I have one...It's not really traditional for a mermaid to get married you know?

Danny frowned at the mention of flowers. She didn't want flowers. Those were ghouly and dumb. Unfortunately for her, she had a mother who LOVED flowers. So she was probably getting a thousand bouquets of them. Danny did nod vigorously at the idea of Amphi in a blue and white wedding dress. Then again, Danny thought Amphi would look pretty in anything.
She was getting uncomfortable on the edge of the bed, so she moved to the headboard and leaned against the pillows. She patted her lap for Amphi to come sit, but the mermaid didn't have to.
"How come you can't get married?" she said, frowning. "I'll get married to you and make you lots of food!" she announced. Roch could move aside, Danny had other plans.

Danny giggled and noogied Amphi. "Of course we'll wait!" she said, feigning worry. They were only joking, but it was still fun to imagine. "But we will get married," she assured the mermaid, bopping her friend on the nose.
She looked at the next line of the text and put her hand in her pocket, blushing lightly. "No cake, but ..." She pulled out the paper ball and unraveled it, revealing a horribly crinkled page ripped from a magazine, half torn down the side. On it was a picture of a black dress with tears, that was oddly frilly and ghouly for Danny.
"Look don't laugh okay," she mumbled, "It's really dumb and stupid." She shoved the picture in Amphi's hands. "And don't tell anyone!"
OF COURSE SHE WOULD BE A BRIDESMAID THEY WERE OTP DUH.
