Miliani closed her eyes and smiled, following the warmth of the sun to avoid the shadows. It was somewhat of a game to her and she failed to realize that she was approaching someone until she heard a grumble. Instantly, she opened her eyes to see a black and white stallion. "Oh! Another angeni!" It was the first time she had met another Angeni on earth and was quite happy to see him.
She walked over and smiled, her warmth radiating just a bit more with her happiness. "Hello there, Sir!" Miliani was going to introduce herself before she heard another grumble. "Oh dear... Are you hungry? I can quickly go and get some apples for you!"

Normally, when the sun would get to its peak and the temperature would rise, that was the time to find some shade. But this time, for this large stallion, it was a bit different. Byakuya Kuchiki stood in the middle of the field, wings spread and Captain's coat and scarf at his hooves, everything to soak the heat into the dark patches into his fur. Not only was he bearing the discomfort of the heat, he had gone a few days without eating. If one were to see him doing this, it would be pretty certain that they would wonder why. The answer would be simple, he broke his promise. It would seem like an odd reason to endure such hardship, but for this Angeni, he doesn't take breaking his promises lightly and feels that he should be punished rightly for it. Since his superiors aren't around to do it, he has to do it himself.
As Byakuya stood, he was unaware of any other that may be around him or even approaching. His mind was just on enduring the heat, head lowered to the ground, ignoring the grumbling in his stomach. While he was continuing with his penalty, the odd rise in the temperature around him caught his attention. Soon, it became known as to why as a feminine voice sounded behind him. He slowly lifted his head and turned his attention to the angeni mare that was approaching him. He let out a snort, especially as she offered to get him some apples. Lowering his head again, he replied, "No... thank you."

Miliani couldn't help but stare at the stallion, her green eyes a bit wider than what they'd normally be. He had been walking with his head low to the ground and Miliani could definitely tell something was the matter. With the grumbling of the stallion's stomach that loud, it had to be hunger.
She was sort of surprised the stallion could still move, but the air around him gave her a sense that he was some sort of warrior and could withstand the pains if needed. The day, however, didn't seem like there was much going on. Miliani herself was in no rush to get anywhere, and the stallion seemed okay by himself and moving at the slow pace that he was.
"Please," Miliani said looking at him. "I insist." She flashed him a smile and then quickly took off, gathering some apples from a nearby tree, tucking them into the fluff around her neck and then flying back down towards the stallion. Miliani pushed them off and onto a soft patch of grass, nudging them towards the stallion. "They smell delicious?"

Byakuya had hoped that his polite declination would persuade the mare to go about her way. Unfortunately, it seemed to make her more determined. His tail flicked as he lifted his head slightly to watch her fly off into a nearby tree. He scowled a bit as she plucked apples from the branches. Here I thought non-Angenis were the stubborn and non-sense having ones. He thought with a snort.
As she gathered the fruits into the 'garment' around her neck, he turned to face his back to her to show his disinterest in her and the apples. That did not seem to work either as he watched apples roll into his line of sight. Lifting his gaze to her, he shook his head. "As I stated before... no, thank you." With that, he brought his head down to his captain's coat, grasping it with his teeth. Once he had a hold of the garment, he turned and slowly moved away from the mare.

Miliani was more than a little hurt by the stallions refusal. She knew that the stallion was probably more than capable of finding food, but Miliani started to wonder if he was refusing to take care of himself. Even if he didn't feel like he had to, if he was attacked in a state like this, how could he ever fend them off. The gleam in her eyes changed into that of worry and sorrow... Almost in a sob, she spoke to the stallion again.
"What- WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU!" Miliani didn't notice the she had blurted it out quite lout until it was out in the open. The only times she really acted like this was when she felt like she was useless or out of control of everything around her.
The mare looked like she wanted to cry from her outburst; the feelings of weakness and things she couldn't control alongside the unwillingness of the stallion to eat something... Miliani couldn't help but think of so many negative feelings. Feeling kind of wary suddenly, Miliani plopped down on the ground and rested her head on the ground, staring blankly at the apples.

Byakuya was about ready to go back to his current task at hand, but the faint sound of a sob caught his attention, or at least, caused his ears to swivel toward the direction of it. It was when the mare rose her voice to him, her concern over what may happened to him, that caused a momentary look of surprise from the large stallion. He always knew the normal soquili were either irrational or over emotional, but never came to think that a fellow Angeni would be as such.
Lifting his head, he watched as she slumped onto the ground and seemed to stare at the apples she had previously offered him. With a soft sigh and small shake of his head, he turned and made his way over to her. He stopped in front of one of the apples, glancing down to the mare. "If something were to happen, I still have my strength to fend for myself, despite being hungry. But, if it is that important to you that I have an apple, it is my duty to oblige." With that, he lowered his head to the apple he was standing before and took a bite.

There were tears that wanted to roll down her face, but when she noticed Byakuya coming towards her, Miliani gave him a meek smile. When he took the first bite of the apple in front of the, she blinked away the tears and spoke again. "You... you do look like a really strong stallion, but even strength gets depleted when you don't eat enough."
Miliani retracted a bit from her previous outburst, taking a step back, afraid of if she overstepped any boundaries that might have angered the stallion. "I... didn't really want you to be obligated to do it... I don't want you angry either... I just get worried really easily.
She frowned at herself. Miliani was only a young adult, and she knew that. Others would think that her caring and motherly heart was a good thing, but there was a part of her that always wondered if she cared too much.[X]Natty-Chan[X] ((Sorry muse was dead for so long D: I'm going to try and be more consistent with RP responses now <3))

Byakuya turned his gaze away from the mare to avoid seeing the tears that welled in her eyes as he took another bite of the apple. A soft snort escaped his nostrils at her comment about his strength. "It would be foolish of me to display my full strength."
After finishing the apple, he licked his lips delicately, turning his attention back to the mare as she stepped back from him. "You do not have to fret over my well being." He was going to repeat the fact that he could fend for himself, but caught himself. Instead, sighing, he added, ". . . I do thank you for the concern though."ATh e a r t [It's alright, I tend to have the same issue.]

"I think that would be something amazing to see!" Miliani always thought of herself as strong, but it was more emotional than physical. She knew that her physical strength might be stronger than the average Soquili, but just looking at the stallion she could tell that he was strong. "At least... I think it would be."
Miliani nodded and smiled. She noticed that he licked his lips. "They were delicious, huh? Did you want more? I'm more than willing to get more!" There was warm feeling inside of her heart and the rest of her body. That's when she realized something. "I... I don't believe I've ever introduced myself."
She closed her eyes and lowered her head towards the stallion. "My name is Lady Miliani Solana, and I am the Angeni of Warmth." Miliani looked up and smiled again. "That might be part of the reason why I get so worked up when I see others like you...." Her words started to trail, not knowing where she wanted to go with her words anymore.

Byakuya lifted his Captain's coat from the ground and tossed it over his back, draping it between his wings as she spoke of seeing his strength. When he was certain it was secure, he looked to her. "Unfortunately, it is not allowed of us to show our true power without true need."
As she offered more apples, he shook his head. "No, one is enough, thank you." He then worked on returning his scarf around his neck, this piece of clothing always being a little more difficult to put back on. He eventually managed to wrap it around his neck and looked back to her as she began to introduce herself.
"It is an honor to meet you Lady Solana," he returned her bow with one of his own. "I am Kuchiki Byakuya, Captain of the sixth squad of the thirteen court guard squads. A Shinigami if you will." He explained, seeing no problem in telling a fellow Angeni about what he was and the guard squad. "It is a good trait to be concerned, it is not a trait for everyone."

"Oh! That is quite interesting." Miliani smiled. "There's a part of me that would like to see it, but at the same time... I know it's better not to ever see it." She laughed lightheartedly. It was easy to tell that the stallion was a lot more serious than herself, but Miliani was still enjoying the company.
"It's quite nice to meet you, Sir Kuchiki Byakuya!" She didn't know what the rest of his title meant, but since it was so long, it had to be important, right?
Miliani was glad he was satisfied and would have let him on his way if she didn't watch and wonder why the stallion was draping cloth all over him. "Are you cold? Here... Let me help." She moved closer to him and concentrated on her body warmth and extended it enough to try and keep Byakuya warm. Her eyes stayed closed and her voice was now down to a whisper. "That is my power as the Angeni of Warmth."
"So... I have to ask... Why were you not eating?"

"Captain Kuchiki will suffice." Byakuya 'corrected', finishing up slipping on his coat. When she questioned if he was cold, he was about to answer her when he soon found her closer to him and seemingly to be radiating heat. A small questioning look appeared on his face, but when she explained that this was her power of the Angeni of Warmth, he said nothing.
When she questioned as to why he was refusing to feed himself, he retorted, "I do not feel that it is important for you to know."
