It was the day. Fright Night had come along and Shun had failed to get Mitsu to leave her room prior. But, he was determined to get her to the festival one way or another. There will be a lot of people there no doubt. Including a great deal of strangers, but he was determined to get her back into the open world. And he was going to keep a hawk's eye on her. He would watch over her. Protect her to the best of his ability.
At least he had been trying to take care of himself more the past couple days so he was looking better. Still worn. But not as bad as he had been. Besides, right now the priority was getting her out. And he had a few ideas on just how he was going to do this.
"Alright Mitsu, it's time to head out. Before we go, I have a gift for you. You can wear this to the festival," he said before offering her a bag. He had went out and bought something quick just for her.
Inside the bag?
A panda hoodie.

Mitsu had managed to avoid being taken from her room but her days were numbered the last of them ending when the Fright Night Festival began. She hadn't even given an answer but she was certain Shun expected her to leave her room once and for all. The thought of all those strangers sent her on edge and at the mention of 'it's time to head out' made her want to run flailing to the bathroom and lock the door behind her.
The only thing that kept her from doing that was the mention of a gift. Her eyes were suddenly wide and curious, her human ears shifting to large wolf ears that perked high on top of her head. Shun used present. It was super effective.
Carefully Mitsu moved forward to take the bag peeking inside at the contents. She wasn't sure what the item was at first other than clothing until she finally pulled the article free to look it over. Suddenly starry eyed she scrambled to put the hoodie on over her tank top her fingers messing with the ears on the hood. 'Panda bear' was the words she mouthed before reaching out to give Shun a hug in thanks. *A*

It was always nice to see Mitsu's reaction whenever he gave her something. She was fairly easy to please too. A soft and subtle smile touched his lips as it was quite apparent that she really liked the hoodie. She might have been a wolf, but she sure loved her pandas. After she put it on, he hugged her tightly.
"It looks good on you," he said softly. It wouldn't be something he would wear personally, but she looked cute in it. He figured it might help her a little with her current self conscious issue as it'd keep her head and arms covered. Two birds. One stone.
"And you're welcome," he added. Shun didn't bring up the festival juuust yet. He was strategizing on how he might be able to ease her out best.

His arms came around her and Mitsu melted into them nuzzling against her reaper as he held her close. She really liked the hoodie and pulled back again to look it over. The corners of her lips twitched again like she wanted to smile, turning with her arms out so Shun could see the full outfit. It seemed to go well with her black skirt and tattered tights.
Her normal ears felt awkward beneath the hood so Mitsu quickly shifted them back to their human state and padded toward the closet to look in the mirror she had failed to break so far. Walking was still a little awkward without her tail, but she managed well enough until she was at the closet door to open it and have a look. With the hood up her face was mostly covered, the sleeves were long and covered her arms and best of all it was cute. *A*

"I'm glad you like it," Shun said softly as he watched her get a good look at herself, seeing how she appeared with her new article of clothing. Perhaps now would be a good time.
"You should show the others how you look in it too. I'm sure they will like it. So come with me, please?" he asked gently while slipping behind her once more to gently wrap his arms around her waist. His chin resting lightly upon the top of her head.
"I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun.."
He didn't really know what fun was still, but he knew she could have it in any case.

Her neutral expression shifted to a frown. She looked into the mirror beyond her own reflection and gazed into Shun's one good eye. As much as she wanted to see her friends she was nervous...reluctant.
Shaking her head lightly she pulled the hood around her face a little tighter trying to hide. She wasn't sure she knew how to have fun anymore, not the way she was now.

"Come on don't be like that, " he quietly requested as he saw her try and hide. "You're braver than this. I don't want you to have to keep on hiding. I will be there with you every step along the way. Please Mitsu. For me? "
Shun looked deeply into her eyes to the best of his ability. He wanted her to get out. To stop hiding away in fear like this. She just needed to take the steps to do so.
If pleading to her didn't work, he had other things in mind.

She shook her head again, this was one thing she wasn't going to give up easily on. It wasn't just risking getting hurt it was risking going back...there.
Releasing the hood Mitsu wrapped her arms tightly around herself and slowly turned to face her reaper. She just couldn't do it. It was too big of a step right now.
Turning her head up slightly she looked apologetic. She wanted to be braver but the ability just wasn't there anymore.

"Come now. You've been in here for at least a week. This room is hardly enough for you to stretch your legs in. Don't be unreasonable. Come with me," Shun said, more firmly this time, "Why are you so afraid to go out there? I'm here with you. I won't make the same damn mistake twice and let something horrible happen to you again. Or do you think I'm that incompetent?"
He was kind of wondering just how much she trusted him. Despite what he kept saying, she still didn't even seem to want to give it a chance. The Reaper frowned at this thought.
"I will protect you.."

Hugging herself tightly she looked to the floor like a scolded child. True she had been back for a little while but the memories were still fresh and things just didn't feel like they used to. She didn't feel like she used to even with the time healing. Something just felt off.
Her head lowered further when he asked if she thought him incompetent. This was what he always did, turned her insecurities around and made her feel guilty about them. Her frown deepened and she shook her head no. She didn't think he was incompetent but she wasn't so certain about herself.
Looking to the door warily Mitsu look back at Shun with those large red eyes. He still didn't know what happened, she hadn't been able to tell him but her eyes spoke volumes of the horrors she continued to mentally endure as an after effect.

Shun grimaced as he looked into her eyes. He didn't know what happened. All he knew was that they did something horrendous to her. He hoped that one day she could share with him what had happened exactly... It might help take some of the weight off of her for someone to know.
"Trust me in this Mitsu. The outside world isn't that bad... I'm sorry I couldn't protect you before but please. Hiding away isn't going to make you that much more safe. You need to be mentally and physically prepared. Don't let what happened.. .whatever happened take control of your life. You're stronger than this. I know you are. Show those bastards that you are in control.."
As he said this he gently caressed her face.

Eyes downcast to the floor again Mitsu wasn't sure what to do. Should she grab her laptop? Try to explain? She wasn't even sure where to begin. How do you start off in telling the one you love that you were nothing more than garbage being taken out and somehow you felt disappointed they didn't see more in you? That being turned into a weapon would have been easier to deal with. That the fear of what happened was so consuming she wished she had just forgotten it all.
Taking in a deep breath Mitsu looked toward the door again but this time it was with a blank stare. It was like she was thinking on something but had managed to zone out and tune out reality. Her eyes looked lost, like she had fallen back into the depths of her mind.

She was tuning out. Shun let out a sight before running a hand through his hair. How was he going to do this?
"Do you want to talk about it first? I want to help you.. I just.. don't know what it is that ails you. But I am very firm on my stance that you should get out and about.." he said while nudging her lightly to try and get her to come back around.

Being nudged again Mitsu immediately shook her head though she didn't really know what she was answering. All she knew was that it was safe to stick with the answer no. No no no no no no no. And no.
Trying to think of something to distract Shun with Mitsu looked around the room for a moment before her eyes settled on the bathroom again. It had worked last time....why not?
Pointing to the bathroom she made the motions of the water running down over her for a shower. Maybe he would believe...she wanted to take a shower before they went?

Shun looked a little sad at that.
"...I hope you'll be willing to share it with me one of these days. I want to help you through this. But I don't know what's going on through your head..." he said quietly.
Glancing to the bathroom as she motioned towards it, he let out a sigh. The last time she did this she took forever in there.
"By the time you get out, the festival will be closed for the night."
Yes. Apparently he thought she would take hours. That's how long it felt last time and all.
