Ngoma was out int he rogue lands, again. Her home in the Nchi'Mahadhi lands was wonderful; all the dances, songs and instruments constantly making noise was great, she loved it, but she also liked to take some time to go off on her own from time to time. Now was one of those times.
A number of shells fastened onto leather bracelets decorated each of her ankles, and made soft clinking noises as she moved. It was customary, or rather, it was normal and expected, for dancers for the Nchi pride to decorate themselves in noise making jewelry. It helped add rhythm to their dancing. The soft clapping of the beads or shells or whatever they wore accented their movements and the drum beat they moved to well enough.
This was a reason she was out here too, to try and scavenge some beads or anything to make into new bracelets or even a small one for her tail.

Maudua opened her eyes and stretched, claws extending and scraping tiny marks into the loose dirt beneath the dry tree she'd been napping under. She'd been wandering all of the morning without direction. Not that she was concerned that she didn't have one, eventually she'd see something that would turn her steps in a certain direction. Until then it was a calm life she led.
The sun was well past it's zenith with the shadows growing longer. The dark lioness yawned and sat up, beginning to wash as she thought of what she felt like doing with the rest of her day. Without a traveling companion or pride she had no set tasks to carry out. A free lifestyle, yes, but sometimes a boring one.

A soft melody fell from Ngoma's lips as she took steps in a certain rhythm, taking little skips here and there to keep up the rhythmic sound her steps made. It seemed empty out here today, so Ngoma was taking her chances and enjoying a little song and dance all to herself as her careful eyes scanned the ground as she walked; looking for anything to make into suitable dancing accessories.
Her mind and eyes were trained directly in front of her and so it was no wonder Ngoma completely missed the other lioness just waking up from under a tree a mere few feet away. However, once the scent caught her, Ngoma stopped her singing, and her stepping, turning a curious gaze out towards the direction of the tree and the other female. She smiled and looked around, spotting the darker lioness quickly. "Hello!" She greeted happily.

The soft jingling caught her attention as soon as the other lioness seemed to spot her, looking up and seeing the mottled stranger in front of her. She tilted her head, curious as to the continued tinkle of sound, ears swiveling forward. "Hello." She called back. Mau glanced around a moment, ears turning forwards and backwards before she looked once more at the other lioness.
"Was that you?" Maudua rose to all four feet, taking a step and stretching out with another jaw creaking yawn and padding amiably towards the other. Her curiosity piqued.

The other lioness seemed friendly enough, that was good. Ngoma thought as her tail swiveled around behind her, the decorative ring of leather with little shells fastened onto it jingling as she did so.
"What was what? Oh... That?" she asked as she lifted a paw and let the bracelet make its soft noise again. "Yes, that's me. I hope it doesn't annoy you?" She asked with a shy smile. Some people who were not part of the Nchi found the noises Ngoma's jewelry made very annoying, but she couldn't really do anything about it, even taking them off and carrying them in her mouth still allowed them to make their noise.
radiumshine So sorry about the wait... I'm dealing with some custody issues with my ex over our kiddo, so I've been a bit uninspired. I'll start replying more frequently though, promise.
