 (Click the image to go to the club thread!) With everything going on. Mei decided it was time she stepped up with her Club President responsibilities and do something. She needed a bit of time to clear her head from stuff and junk. To just relax and have a bit of fun. And what better way than to host a little Meet n' Greet. Plus a little extracurricular activity to help get things going. It would be a pretty boring event to host if there was nothing to do! She'd posted up little flyers here and there around the school, hopefully that would generate some interest. Bustling about in the art room, she set down a large box. Inside were glass bottles that clinked and clanked inside as they knocked against one another. And soon another box was placed next to that, filled to the brim with paints and paint brushes. She'd been lucky enough to be able to swipe some extra supplies money from Chryses to afford these. Of course, she'd probably hear it from him about how expensive all of this was. Either way. Reaching back into the box filled with bottles she pulled one particular bottle out and set it on the desk. Turning it a couple times until she was satisfied. OOC This is basically the first event of H.P. Artcraft. Anyone is allowed to participate and current members are asked to participate as well! Non-member students are highly encouraged to sign up as members of the club as there will be events to where only members may attend~ If you decide to join please just sign the sign up sheet sitting on the desk and bold it so that I can see it and am able to add you to the list of members. This is a light meet and greet rp with a little activity to break the ice and introduce others to the types of activities that the club will be conducting every so often. Do not feel obligated to rp a whole bunch~ I understand Meta is coming soon and people are busy so I don't expect a bajillion pages to fly by. <3 Feel free to interact with Mei, club members or any of the other students. Ask questions, chit chat, what have you. If you would like to have something graphic wise for your character to take please feel free to use this bottle to paint on and keep. <3 Paint whatever you want on it, random paint splotches, scenery, minipet images, etc etc. Just keep it clean! This rp will stay open until around September 10th. That way once everything is settled we can work on more club stuff.

Chryses, quite frankly, had no idea what he was doing here. He was neither particularly crafty nor exactly the best PR guy. But he had agreed to the position of Treasurer, this was a club function, he was a club officer, so here he was.
He eyed the supply box Mei had brought. "You have receipts for that, I hope?" He queried. He intended to run a financially tight ship and keep everything well in order. The paints looked expensive, though he didn't have much of an eye for art supplies so he couldn't be sure. The bottles...could either have been free or purchased. He sincerely hoped "free."
But then, the monetary situation couldn't be his main concern right now. They were trying to bring in new members, and his goal was not, in fact, to upset Mei by driving potentials off, so he took several deep breaths and attempted to dig up some bit of charm or at least the affectation of such.
He would be digging for a while.

Maggie had a flyer in her hand, double checking to make sure she had the right place. Poking her head in, she saw a ghoul playing with a bottle with paint inside and a rather uptight-looking demon boil. Sliding herself in, she noticed the sign up sheet on the desk and scribbled her name on it. Maggie Lenoir
"Hey there!", she chimed as she slipped to the opposite side of the table from the ghoul. "Whatcha doin'? Looks like fun." Maggie's bright green eyes quickly looked over the paints, taking note of which ones she liked.

She turned quickly to the sound of Chryses' voice. Happy to see that he had decided to show up. That was good. She was afraid that perhaps he wouldn't. Which was bad. They needed all their members that they had so far here. "Of course Chryses. I would never hear the end of it if I didn't." Reaching into her left sleeve she pulled out a couple pieces of paper. "The bottles are just empty soda bottles so no need to worry about the cost for those."In all honesty, she wasn't worried about it. But knowing Chryses and money he was probably happy that the bottles were free...ish. She'd spent quite a bit of time drinking the soda to get enough bottles for the event. To the point of almost making her sick. Mei quickly turned to the new comer. A bright smile on her face. Though unsure if the ghoul was new to the school or just another student she hadn't met yet. She had a tendency to run into the latter a lot. "Well hello! Welcome to the first event of H.P. Artcraft, the Art and Crafts club. I'm Meixiang the Club President and this..." She motioned to the demon boil with an open hand. "Is Chryses. He is our Club's Treasurer. And you are...." She peeked at the sign up sheet the ghoul had signed. "Maggie, it is a pleasure to meet you. Are you Year One? I don't believe I've seen you around the school until today."Reaching into the box on the desk she pulled out an unpainted bottle, handing it to the ghoul. "This is just a little meet and greet activity for the club. Here. This bottle is for you to paint on if you would like." Mei then picked up the one that had already been painted on and showed it to her. "You can do whatever you would like to paint on it. Just random dribbles like this one I did or a scenery or something cute. Whatever you can come up with!" Smiling, she set the bottle back down. "Just pick some paints and a brush and have at it. Of course, if you feel like chatting a bit first I would be more than happy to chit chat." Placing her hands behind her back, the small ghoul rocked on her heels. "Although Chryses probably isn't the most social so you might be stuck talking with me for a while." Laughing, she shot a playful look to the boil.

Ever since the battle of the bands, Maggie had been meeting all these nice students, and this ghoul seemed to be no different, which made her even happier than she already was. " It's nice to meet you both!", she said turning to address Chryses, too. " Yeah, I'm Year One. I actually just started, so it's pretty convenient timing." Maggie took the bottle carefully, examining the other one that Meixiang had picked up to show her. " Oh cool! I'm probably going to have more paint on me than on the bottle.", she giggled, grabbing a paintbrush. " I don't mind. I'm just glad everyone's been so friendly."

Of course Alex would be late for Mei's club meeting. When was he ever actually on time for anything? The zomboil shuffled into the room, hands shoved into pants pockets, looking oddly...clean? Yes it was clear that he had actually had a shower, and very recently. And had actually changed his clothes. His hair was getting long again, and was pushed to one side, hiding the empty left eye socket from view. It was weird, only having one eye to see out of, though in the past his hair often obscured his view anyways. He had to keep fighting the urge to reach up and push his hair back, his brain telling him he needed to do so in order to be able to see again. He knew it wouldn't do any good, however. He really needed to do something about that, at some point. "Hey." He gave a small smile and a wave as he entered the room. A smile from Alex had been hard to come by in recent weeks, but slowly he was beginning to get better, the more time he had to get past all the hurt feelings, and for the aching void in his chest to heal. He pulled a hand out of his pocket to wave at Mei, and then eyed the other two in the room. The demon...he thought he recognized him from somewhere...where was it again? Had he been beneath the school the day that the students had ended up kidnapped by hunters? He thought so...maybe. The ghoul he'd never seen before at all, which instantly put his guard up. Hunters could take the form of students via use of golems, after all. He made his way over towards her, and Mei, still smiling though the look in his visible eye didn't match the gesture in the slightest. "Sorry I'm late." This was directed at Mei, before his pale gaze swiveled towards the new ghoul. "I'm Alexander." He held his hand out towards her, watching her carefully for any signs that she might not be what she appeared.

Maggie looked up from her bottle as a new person came in. The zomboil seemed a bit quiet, as if he was shy. Eagerly, she put down the bottle to take the hand her offered. " Hi! I'm Maggie! Nice to meet you! You're in the art club, too?", she replied with a big smile. Man, there were so many people she was meeting. Hopefully she'd be able to remember everyone's names.

Slow start. Slow start. That was ok though. Rome wasn't built in a day one could suppose. As Alex entered the room she shot him a wide grin. They hadn't really had a lot of personal time to talk one on one. Most of their interactions lately were done in groups. She would have to remedy that soon. "Alex hi!" The ghoul waved cheerfully. Though she frowned internally at the weak smile that seemed more forced than anything. "Ah its no problem. I'm just glad you decided to show up. Means I'm not stuck here with Chryses all by myself." Grinning, she pointed a thumb over her shoulder towards the demon boil.

] Chryses took the receipts with a grave nod, folding them up and tucking them into his shirt pocket. "Thank you, I'll enter those into the books." He said. Indeed, he already had a neat accounting book for the club. He made the executive decision not to look at how much the paints had cost right then, because he had a feeling it would be more than he would have liked and he did not need to be moodier than usual right now.
He gave a polite nod to the new ghoul. "Welcome to Amityville, Miss Lenoir." He said politely. The zomboil's apparent lateness wrote an immediate frown on his face, however. Chryses was never one to be late, and it started him off with a very low opinion of this Alexander. Still, he seemed almost familiar. Perhaps from the little.l.adventure when he had met Mei? It had been crazy enough and there were enough unfamiliar faces that he couldn't be fully sure.
"Chryses Aurelius." He introduced himself curtly, not offering a hand but instead offering a sharp nod of acknowledgement. He walked over to the bottles and took one out, examining it rather intensely. Perhaps he ought to at least try to make...something.

Maggie turned from Alexander as Chryses addressed her. " Oh, thank you!", she chimed at him. The room was slowly filling and it was hard not to be excited. Looking back at Meixiang, she asked, " So, what kind of stuff do you guys normally do? Is it just stuff like this, or do you guys go out and like, do big art projects for the school? That'd be really neat. Painting a mural on the side of one of the buildings. I'm sure they don't allow that though. Still would be neat." She was super excited to dive head into the projects they would be doing in the future, and couldn't wait to be covered in paint and chalk and whatever else they'd be using. Maggie snapped out of her day dream as Chryses slipped up next to her to examine the bottles.
