~::Mayonaka Arena - P1-Grand Prix::~ Yasogami High(?) (Classroom 3-1) - Inside the TV A strange replica of the Yasogami High School campus inside the television, travel throughout the school is much more difficult due to invisible barriers preventing easy access to other areas of the school. Though it appears similar to the actual school on the outside, running through the hallways can seem to go on forever, and just when it seems as though you're on the right track, the invisible walls block your path and redirect you to wherever the person holding the tournament wishes you to go. And all throughout the building there is a pervasive air of danger, a heavy feeling not unlike the television world's fog or the atmosphere in the Dark Hour. Innocent it may look, but dangerous it most certainly is...and with monitors and a PA system lining nearly every nook and cranny of the school, it's clear that somebody not only wants to see what's going on throughout the event...but they want everyone else to know that they are watching, too. Why? Because the ongoing event at the school is the P1-Grand Prix! A desperate fighting program pitting friend against friend in combat until the one true champion is revealed! Who is behind it and why they put together such an elaborate event is the mystery everyone is trying to solve...but only one person can reach the summit and discover the truth! It's Investigation Team versus Investigation Team, but they're not the only ones inside the TV...the only question is, which one will still be standing when it's over?!
...
This battleground is located in the third floor, Classroom 3-1; monitors line the walls, chairs are stacked to the ceiling all around the outsides of the gym floor, and strange, shadow-like creatures line the outskirts of the area as though they were an audience. They feel like shadows, but what they truly are is unknown...could they be shadows? Shades? Wraiths? Something more?
Win your battle and you may find out, but only the winner can move on! Will you be the victor? Quote: *~:: P1-Grand Prix [Round 1] ::~*

Minori Koroko That had been strange. Not once before had she felt her stomach churning, her mind swimming or her consciousness fading when stepping into the TV world. Or well...not counting her first time there, when she had been kidnapped and appeared inside a room...in fact, this had been disturbingly familiar. But different at the same time. She had jumped in, herself...no one had thrown her in...And yet here she was, in a completely different place instead of the familiar lobby she had seen many times before. Then again... things changed quite a bit since Babel appeared, didn't they? Could this be part of it? Could the TV world be changing, and that was why she ended up somewhere completely different? "Where are..." She was alone here. So had all the others end up some place completely different as well? She bit her lower lip, but shook head as a way to shove away any fear that started to crawl up her ankle just then.
Green orbs shifted around the room for the first time since she regained consciousness, eyebrows furrowing in slight confusion. "This is...the school?!" It certainly looked like her own classroom...only it was weird. Oppressive. This was the TV World, was it not? Chairs piled up, blocking the way out, and the room seemed larger than she remembered. The shadow outlines moving around the room, almost as if spectators of some show made it even more difficult for the girl to calm down and think. If anything, they made her uneasy. Minori took a step backwards and let out a soft sigh, trying to take out the anxiousness all this was making her feel. Clutching the gift Soji had given her just before all this madness as a reassuring token made it a bit easier. The program last night...this was it, wasn't it? It surely looked like the scenery for a show...and she hoped she was wrong about the fights. Summoning her persona, the blond tried reaching the rest of her friends...only to end up disappointed and frustrated with the outcome. "This is strange. I...can't see anything. Don't fail me now, Syr..." But still, static was all she could really listen to.
She...just hoped her friends were doing all right.

Kazuma hadn’t the clue on what was worse, waiting for his opponent, or waiting for his opponent in a classroom. This classroom was completely different from the one in the real world, with the walls covered in monitors and the chairs standing all over the ceiling, but still a classroom was a classroom and Kazuma detest it all the same. The only bright side to all of this was that there was no teacher to hassle Kazuma around while he was taking in a cigarette. Kazuma’s patience was growing thick, his cigarette was the only thing keeping him relaxed; he still wondered and grumbled at how much longer he was forced to wait. An inhuman sounding grumble erupted in his throat, which followed by a series of coughs. Keeping himself steady wasn’t an option; Kazuma felt himself leaning forward out of impulse, hand covering the mouth as the coughs continued on harder than before. Finally his coughing settled down, but the mood was ruined; Kazuma was force to throw away the cigarette down to the ground and stomp it out. Now he had nothing to keep his frustration in check, but he didn’t have to wait any longer. Someone had just entered this little arena, and they would be greeted with Kazuma’s fist in their faces.
Before the beat down could actually begin Kazuma took a good look at his opponent. His one good eye was transfixed as his enemy revealed to be his only sister, Minori. "You’re shitting me. " There was doubt in his mind, thinking that this could be an imposter, or just a trick by Shadow Soji to prove his loyalty. This person had the same golden locks of hair, the same green eyes, the same scent and all; there was no doubt that this was Minori. Kazuma would have been “glad” to see Minori in other circumstances, but her appearance made him scowl. "Get out of here Min-nee," he growled at his sister, " Get out of here now. You hear me? Surrender and leave. Now!"

Minori Koroko, the Pitiable Archangel of Absolution The coughing made the blond jump, the noise breaking her concentration in a second. Syr returned to the depths of her mind as green orbs shifted towards the source of the noise, not having really noted anybody else inside the room. Perhaps she had been so focused on pinpointing her friends' presences she hadn't felt any other closer to her. Fingers tightened around Vega, eyes landing on a person that perhaps once she would have been glad to meet. "Kaz..." Minori frowned looking at her brother; just remembering all he had done managed to get her blood boiling. But... the sight of him sending a painful pang to her chest...He looked ragged, scarred, different. To her mind came the horrible nickname given to her the night before in the Midnight Channel, and she couldn't help the irritation getting to her. It almost felt like a joke, setting her brother, the one who had wronged her so many times before, to fight...or to forgive, like it apparently was expected of her.
Monitors came to life, the booming voice of the bear of the Investigation Team taunting, introducing them to the fight. Eyebrows furrowed, turning from the televisions and back to Kazuma as she listened. The face of Rise Kujikawa appeared then, her giggling voice only confusing her even more. Huh? Why were they doing all this? There was something really weird about this all...and the only way she could find out was... "I have to find the others, we need to find out who's behind this, why it's happening...and since only the winner can move ahead, that means I'll have to do my best." The white lance twirled in her palms before the girl took her stance. She wasn't going to forsake her friends...She had to be strong...even if it meant fighting Kazuma. Even if she had to... If there was a way to do this without hurting his sister, this was it. Kazuma kept staring at his own flesh and blood, hoping that she would take his words to heart and leave. Minori getting involved in such things always pained his heart. Always Kazuma would keep a straight face, but his heart always gave a hollow beat whenever he saw her step into battle. She answered him, but Kazuma kept shaking his head to try and tell her to not do this without using words. It was no use, she had made her choice and was prepared for battle. " Minori," he muttered, voice cracking just a little bit, " Why in God’s name are you wearing that?!" What was a gentle toned voice was now a loud scream of discontent. Kazuma pointed at her with a mouth hanging open as though it was broken. His sister, Kazuma’s very own sister had decided to fight him in the most revealing piece of clothing, hell she was practically naked! " Why are you fighting me naked?! Who bribed you to wear this s**t?!" Oh Kazuma wanted some answers, he wanted them right now so he could kill the person convincing his dear sister to wear some stripper outfit. The mind couldn’t help but wonder what Minori had been doing without her brother to protect her. Oh God she had no choice but to become a stripper, Kazuma thought. This whole situation was giving him a headache, sadly they couldn’t deal with it right here and now, " ******** it! We’ll deal with that later."
An irritating sigh came from Kazuma’s mouth; even now his sister was making him worry to death. Surprisingly he chuckled at that realization, felt nostalgic; not the sick kind that he was feeling through the downtown district, no, this nostalgia felt…missed? Kazuma didn’t have the time to sort out his feelings; he had to focus on his sister challenging him to a battle. " If you really want to fight me. If you think you can beat me then fine go ahead and try. Show me how strong you are Min-nee. Don’t forget who ya dealing with. " Kazuma took a few steps back, stretching out his limbs. Suddenly! Kazuma leaned to the right, his right thumb pointing towards him as his other arm stretched outwards, "ORE," He faced the front, striking his famous Kamen Rider Den-O Pose, " SANJOU." Those words were said with such fiery passion as he stuck the pose with such awesome form. No matter how many times Kazuma did this, he still manage to make it look cool. This was a sign that Kazuma was going to give this fight his all and win it to move on, " Ikuse, " his legs began to move, and within moments he charged towards Minori, " Ikuse! Ikuse! Ikuse!" Within moments he was in close range to Minori dishing out a right cross, following it up with a heavy uppercut.

Minori Koroko, the Pitiable Archangel of Absolution "Kazuma...I won't-! H-huh?!" What the girl thought were going to the last words before the start of the fight turned out to be a sudden reproach to her outfit, breaking in less than a second the serious and determined mood the blond had managed to muster. Her face flushed a deep red, suddenly quite self-conscious. "S-shut up Kazuma! This is a completely useful piece of armor! It...It..." Oh, who was she kidding? How these tiny straps managed to keep her safe in some measure was a complete mystery. But... it did help. If you were to ignore the half-nakedness. ... ... "Argh! Do you know how long it took me to just block out the very uncomfortable feeling about this and stares I got?! And how long it took for me to get the courage to get out in this?! Just forget about it and focus on the fight!" Her hands had moved up to slightly cover herself, before the girl shook her head and let out a shaky sigh, arms resuming their stance. When had been the last time she had argued about this and that with her brother? It felt like a thousand years ago...and somehow, that made her sad. They had both changed...they weren't just a pair of twins with their normal life, joking...teasing...being siblings. No, he had taken a different path than hers, and right now, they were colliding; facing each other in a fight to prove they weren't wrong.
Still, that very brief moment of light teasing reminded her that he wasn't completely lost...and that she was fighting to bring him back; she wasn't forgiving the unforgivable. And yet, the moment was gone as quickly as it began, and the blond girl did her best to regain the serious atmosphere around them, as the crimson faded from her cheeks. She smirked, green determination staring back at him. "I will have to say the same to you, Kaz chan... I am not holding back." He began running towards her, and the girl lost no time in preparing her counter. He was a close ranged fighter, and his fists were fierce...if she could keep him away from an arm's distance, then she'd be able to get somewhere.
As he closed in, Minori took a step back to make some space, the staff of her naginata used to parry the first blow and arching her back to avoid the second, followed by the blunt end of her weapon digging in his abdomen, aiming to make him lose his balance for a bit. He was fast though, feeling the knuckles just grazing her chin as she moved back. She couldn't lose...she couldn't lose! The fight between Sibling shad begun, Kazuma was hesitant in doing this, but after seeing the strength in Minori’s eyes Kazuma had to know just how strong she really was. Minori was smart enough to move back in order to only come out with a graze from Kazuma’s attacks. Now she was ready to give it her all by swinging her naginata weapon. The strangest thing was that she said that she wasn’t going to hold back and yet she was going to swing the blunt side of her weapon at Kazuma. As she swiped her weapon Kazuma moved in closer to her again. The pole arm struck against Kazuma’s armor, almost leaving a dent, luckily that wasn’t the cause. Still the pain was surging through the side of his body, ribs felt as though they were bruising, Kazuma’s balance was in jeopardy, but he continued to maintain it! Was that all Minori had to offer him? Was this really the strength she possessed? It was not enough. Kazuma took hold of her pole arm weapon with no signs of loosening his grip. His armored gauntlets started to glow with a pale white light of nuclear power; for extra strength Kazuma casted a Heat Riser. A mighty fist was about to crash into Minori’s side over and over again until Minori decided to give up, or prove that she was strong enough to take Kazuma on. Minori Koroko, the Pitiable Archangel of Absolution Hands grasped the staff of the spear, and when his face finally looked up at her, Minori knew at once something was different. Chills ran down her spine without any apparent reason, green eyes meeting with the cold golden one. "Is that all, sweet sister? You surely know it won't be enough to defeat me. s**t, you aren't even close."A swift jab was thrown her way, connecting with her side strongly. A gasp escaped her, the air leaving her body, and she knew she couldn't take many more of those if she wanted to continue on. Twisting her weapon so his hands could turn in a weird angle and thus letting go of it, Minori stepped back just as his fist swung at her, missing only barely. Clutching her side the girl looked at her brother suspiciously, knowing he was only taunting her. The words that came later though intended for more than that. "Psht yeah... You are weak. Look at the little scared face of yours. The same you wore that night of our parents' tragic death. Aah...you do remember. I have to tell you...if it hadn't been for your incompetence and weakness back then...they could have survived the night." It hurt more than anything she had felt before. Why was he telling her all this? Why would he taunt her with something like that? Was she...really that weak? Could it be true? ...No! She couldn't...she couldn't fall for it. Still, the way he laughed at her pain made it all too difficult.
"Mmm, yeah. Wouldn't you have liked that? Having mom and daddy pampering you like before? Too bad I had to get rid of them for you. But...I am done protecting you. You have showed me you are worthless. How your friends even tolerate you is beyond me. They are probably as ******** tired of you as I am. Hell, they are planning on leaving you behind, I am sure. You deserve everything that has happened to you, Min-nee, you frail, useless pupp-"
"Enough! Just...stop, Kazuma!" She was trembling now, was it in anger or because of the tears that threatened on slipping down, she wasn't sure. But, that had triggered something inside her...And she wouldn't listen to anything he had to say anymore. Green eyes burned in fury as a crystal appeared between her fingers. No...She would stop him right here...She would make him see she wasn't...she wasn't...
The crystal shattered in her hand, an icy wind encircling her, a different, intimidating air surrounding the girl. And when she looked back up, eyes glimmered in an eerie blue, clothes changed into pristine white. With a thrust forward of the newly summoned spear, the air around Kazuma started condensing, great glaciers falling over him! Each strike to his sister’s body was just another blow to Kazuma’s heart, fighting his sister was never going to be easy, but Kazuma wasn’t going to lose this match. Kazuma wanted to show Minori that he had the power to change the world, that his conviction was more than enough to make it possible; since words wouldn’t get to her then he would have to do it with his fists alone. “You’re pathetic.” Kazuma faced his sister, eyebrows raising at her words. “Yeah, you’re so pathetic Kazu-Chan. All that stuff about changing the world, making it a better place for me? Don’t make me laugh! You’re just doing this for yourself, you’re not helping anybody! You’re just making it worse! You always make things worse! Even when you were little you always made my life a living hell!” Kazuma didn’t understand what she was saying, or maybe he didn’t want to hear it. These words were just soaked in venom and burned Kazuma’s ears as he was force to listen to her. He tried to say something, but his throat swelled up, and Minori just kept going.
“When I was with mom and dad I was actually happy! Do you have any idea what the hell I’ve been through babysitting you’re insufferable a**? You know how much you been suffocating me because you were so weak that you couldn’t even make friends?! Now that you gotten a taste a power you decided to come up with this nonsense of changing the world. Thinking you’re doing this to protect you’re dear sister. Stop lying to yourself! You are just a child having a tantrum! Nothing more! Minori released herself from Kazuma’s grip, taking out what looked like a crystal. She glared at Kazuma, smiling devilishly as her new weapon came through the sheer cold of ice. A mighty swing came from Minori’s chilling spear, bringing forth a monstrous wave of ice. Kazuma found himself helpless glaciers, almost the size of hills, began crashing into him. A cry of pain was bellowed throughout the battlefield; when it was over Kazuma could barely stand. His legs was trembling, almost trying to fall to their knees so that they could rest, the floor was being painted with the blood that flowed out of him. He couldn’t feel his limbs, but the stinging pain continued to throb throughout his body. In spite of all that just happened, the real damaging blow was Minori’s words. Kazuma clinched his teeth to the point where blood was being drawn. She was wrong Kazuma thought, she had to be wrong.
A black crystal was revealed in Kazuma’s hand, which was soon crushed. The broken shards began to shine gold as they floated up above; slowly they reformed into a giant two handed blade that struck down into the ground. Grasping the handle with both hands Kazuma could feel the overwhelming power flowing through his body. His eye glowed white with a cosmic aura, clothing shined in a new golden color; the power of Heimdall was now at Kazuma’s disposal. The blade was lifted from the ground with relative ease, and then with a powerful swing Kazuma unleashed a scorching wave of fire towards his…enemy.

Minori Koroko, the Pitiable Archangel of Absolution "Why would you say something like that!?" The girl chew her on her lip to avoid spatting out in return, the mixed and confused feelings tangling all inside of her chest. If he wanted to distract her from the fight, if he wanted to make her doubt and think about all that had happened between them... he was succeeding. It was hard to keep a cool head when thoughts so deep, so very hurtful were being thrown her way. These weren't only taunts...these were...these were meant to make her falter. But...why? And did she believe all this? No... she couldn't doubt her friends....She couldn't doubt Soji and Amelia and all the others. Not now! Not when the silverette had set his trust since the beginning...not when he had said he was counting on her! A growl escaped her lips as she looked up, just as the ice crashed down on the blond figure at the other side of the room. For a moment, she didn't care. For a moment, she just wanted to shut him up. But...anger cleared when blood tainted the floor, flashes of a night six months ago returning to her in that instant. "Kaz...?" She lowered her weapon then, taking a hesitant step forward and then another, running to meet her brother. "I didn't mean- I'm... Please forgive me, Kazu-."
The blond sucked in air, stopping in her tracks the moment she saw the crystal crashing between his fingers, too late to actually think of a counter for the attack that was coming. Legs tried moving back a second too late, fire washing over her, seven-colored flames angrily licking at her...burning. With a terrible force she was thrown back, her spear slipping from her grip the moment she hit the floor with a sickening crack. Black smoke rose and swirled around where the blond had landed, the surprise impact kicking her out of the War Goddess' form. Her frail form looked broken, violent coughs shaking her frame as she tried to stand. He had taken her completely by surprise, and for that she cursed herself. Her body ached, and the stench of burnt flesh and hair made it all too difficult to keep her stomach from churning. Perhaps...perhaps she really was pitiable...perhaps her nickname really fitted her. How easy could it have been to stay there...to just fade and let the stabbing words that continued even now drown her? How easy it could have been...
'Hey senpai! Stand up, keep on going! I know you can...' Eyebrows furrowed slightly and fingers twitched at the faint sound of the familiar voices. Shikari and Miku...
'Minori, you are strong. I believe in you, so finish this...and stay out of trouble from now on...' She couldn't help the small, wary smile at the violet haired president's voice...'I'll...try'
'You were there for me when I needed help...You are a strong person, and I know you can win this!' Nix...
'Kick his a**! You are way stronger than him!' She wouldn't give up...not when...
'I know you have it in you to fight on.' If she had her friend's trust, then she...
'Minori...like don't give up. Remember that I am there with you...always.'Duke...she really missed him.
'Mini, at least you are not alone in this one'.Amelia was right...she wasn't alone, right?
'Koroko senpai... I see your strength...I know you will overcome this.' Genji...she couldn't let them all down.
'Big sis don't give up! We will go to Junes and have fun together, right?' Nanako...for her she had to keep going...she promised she would...
...
Fingers curled around the delicate token she had received from the silverette before the battle. The hairpin was warm to the touch...and somehow it gave her the strength she needed to move again.
'I believe in you, Minori. Don't ever doubt it. Know that all together...we can overcome anything.'
Green orbs opened just as a blinding light engulfed her, wrapping her in a peaceful, protective aura, giving her strength...The strength of her bonds. She wasn't alone...and her friends would always be there to lend a hand whenever she felt like faltering.
When the light faded and Kazuma was able to take a glance at the girl, he would notice the change: a feathered blue cloak covered her otherwise bare shoulders, a necklace decorated with all kinds of gems shimmered around her neck, the delicate hairpin keeping golden curls away from her face... fingers softly stroke the multicolored fur of an enormous boar standing beside her. The air about her was different, more solemn, elegant...and as she turned her gaze back to her brother, he would listen to the strong dual tone. "I am Syr: Reborn... I will not kneel down to you. I will not let my friends down!"
Her hand shot forward, and a white light gathered on her palm as it moved down her arm in glowing pulses, growing...getting stronger. And the moment it couldn't keep any more energy together, a starlight spear pierced forward towards Kazuma in a blinding straight line!

"You just came because you thought it sounded like a good time!" "Maybe if you got lucky, you could be a hero." "This tournament was set up for me...? What?" Yosuke hadn't considered it before, but from what Teddie was saying after he'd beaten the 'Lustful One', it sounded like he was the reason they'd all been brought here. If that was true, that meant everything was his fault; even the fact they were all in danger from these interrupting Shadow users! The thought didn't sit easily with Yosuke, but he also got the feeling that it wasn't the whole case, so he kept trying to shove it to the back of his mind. "Lets see...if I'm following the right path, then right around this corner should be-" Yosuke let out a shout as he bumped straight first into another invisible wall. 'Damn it! How am I suppose to get anywhere when he keeps putting up these walls in front of all the good stuff? The Announcement Room's just down the hall, too!' Yosuke was just about to lose his cool on the nearest television when he suddenly heard noises from the nearest room, and the door slid open as a girl's eyes widened at him, before narrowing into a glare. "Who are y-!?"Aha, I finally found ya! You're...Captain Ressentiment, Yosuke Hanamura, right?" Yosuke was more than a little at a loss for words when he was suddenly charged at by a cute girl with light blue hair tied up in a ponytail. 'D-damn...she's cute! Wait, what did she just call me?' "D-a-ha-haaamn, why does everyone know that name? Could you please just call me Yosuke!?" Yosuke said rather forcefully, wincing on the inside and putting his hands up defensively when her brow twitched a little, making him reel back afraid she was going to punch him. "Now listen here, Ressentiment, you and your pals betta' cut it out! The Student Council didn't approve any of this, so stop making a mess of the school!" Yosuke winced as she said the name a second time, but this time he was more ticked off by the fact that he was associated with whoever started this Grand Prix. I mean he was a friend of Teddie, but...that wasn't the point. He wouldn't approve something like this! And the Student Council? It definitely sounded like something anyone working with Mataki would say, but come to think of it... 'I-isn't this in the TV? If that's true, how did she get in here?' "Listen, I'm not participating on purpose! I want to shut down this tournament too!" Yosuke said, trying to get Labrys to calm down. "Wha, r-really?" The girl's eyes lost their threatening nature a moment later, causing Yosuke to sigh inwardly in relief. W-wow, she really was cute, now that he got a good look at her without fearing for his life... "Believe me, I don't want people calling me Captain Ressentiment either. It's all that damn bear's doing! As soon as I get my hands on him...his next shift's going to be a living hell, damn it!" Yosuke declared, causing the girl to give him a confusing look. "What, so you guys are friends with this General Teddie? That just makes ya look more suspicious, ya know." But despite her words, it seemed more like she was pointing out a fact than saying she didn't believe him. Yosuke sighed in relief again. "Look, we all got dragged into this, but I know how to defend myself. You could be in real danger though. If that General Teddie's willing to put us through this, you could get seriously hurt! I'll head for the Announcement Room, so why don't you stay here and protect yourself." Yosuke suggested, hoping to keep the girl out of trouble. This whole world seemed to revolved around the tournament, so if his guess was right, the real danger was waiting over in the Announcement Room. If that was so, he needed to keep her away from there at all costs. "Don'tcha worry about me. I'm gonna pummel that General Teddie the first chance I get. I'm pretty good in a fight, ya know?" The young girl flexed, but her words made Yosuke worry even more. There were Shadows around here, nothing that a normal girl could han...dle...and as he glanced behind her, he saw a dozen of the silhouettes that had filled the school laid out on the floor, causing Yosuke to sweat. 'N-nevermind protecting her! If this is the real Teddie, and she did something like that, he'd DIE!' Yosuke smiled on the outside, but it was pretty forced. "Heh, and I bet if you got your hands on the real Teddie, you'd knock the stuffing out of him...literally." Yosuke joked, and for the first time, he saw the girl smile and chuckle. "You're pretty funny, Yosuke-kun. Anyways, I thought of it first, so I won't let anyone go to the Announcement Room without me." Yosuke tried to hide his glance as she laughed, once again thinking back. W-was there always such a girl at Yasogami High? "Okay, but you have to stay close to me. If anything happens..."It was right around then however that music began to play, and the monitor in the room (D-damn it! He'd stepped inside when he saw the carnage she left behind) lit up to display Rise's face. "Iiiiiitt's tiiime! Lets give it up for our next challenger, Yoosukee-kunnn! Our senpai walked away from a big win in the last round, but can he take down the Perv Machine? Heeere's-" "Hey you! You better stop this immediately! I didn't authorize any of this, ya hear?" Rise's flashy introduction was cut off as Yosuke's new friend yelled at the monitor, throwing off the jazz that had been taking place so far. "...hut up. Just shut up, no one even cares what you say, Ms. Spoil Sport. Leeets get her out of here, alright guys?" The girl winked at the monitor, causing Yosuke to feel a pang of guilt for his friend who was being portrayed as such a ditz. On queue however, some of the silhouettes he'd thought were down for the count got up and made a move to take down the girl Rise had attacked, only for Yosuke to move in the way. "Jaraiya!" Yosuke ordered, watching his Persona appear and smash a fist into the group, sending them flying backwards like paper cutouts. "Yosuke-kun, w-what wassat?" Yosuke pointed a finger at the monitor as his Persona disappeared, his own temper flaring finally after his own friend lashed out at a girl who hadn't done anything wrong like that. "Hey Rise, chill out! She didn't do anything wrong, so why are you acting like this? Is it General Teddie's doing?""Hoooow rude Yosuke! Rise and I put this whole thing together because you were so bored from all your work, and you're not even going to thank us?" General Teddie's picture snapped on screen with biting words, causing Yosuke's own determination to waver once again. There he went again, saying that this was all about him. But he didn't have time to waver as the General turned his attention towards another person, and he ironically felt his anger returning as General Teddie shifted his attention away once more. "And why are you getting involved? Isn't this all what you wanted? I'm just doing what yooouu never had the guts to. So stay out of it, or go die in a hole." The bluntness of his words actually caused Yosuke to flinch and miss the important parts of his words, at least for now. Why were they acting so hostile to little miss Student Council, to the point that he was practically playing her second fiddle? "T-that ain't true! That's it, I'm gonna come up there, and you're going to shut down whether you like it or not!" The girl turned and sprinted away, leaving Yosuke's head spinning as he turned to see her run out the door while he was barely sticking his hand out to wave her back. "Hey, w-wait!" A pair of malicious chuckles behind him caused Yosuke's blood to chill a bit as he held off turning around. How could they be so cruel...how could they bait her like that. His fists tightened, and Yosuke's determination to escape this trap immediately began to grow... "Bring out the next contestant!" Yosuke turned as General Teddie called for his opponent, and the smoke filled the area. He already had some idea from Rise's earlier comment, but he had to make sure as he looked through partially closed eyes, first spotting the silhouette, and then finally watching blue hair come into view. "Damn it, I knew this was going to happen..." Zeo was one of the fiercest opponents he could face, but he was also one of his friends and he didn't enjoy the idea of fighting him at all. If he had to, then he wasn't going to get away without a scratch, because Zeo was a walking atom bomb on a leash and right now it looked like someone was trying to let him loose. Not to mention that if they were using Rise's image to manipulate the battle, then it would be pretty easy to get Zeo hyped up. Just promise him a little smoochy boochie, and then...ugh. "Well if it isn't Mr. Nobody. Look, I have to go after that hottie, so why don't you stay here and count to five...if you can even do that. An idiot, no good, useless hunk of junk like yourself could never score a girl like that anyway. The only reason you act like getting rejected is nothing is because you're afraid if they felt bad afterwards, they'd push you away even harder. You don't want to admit you're alone, and nobody even tries to understand..." Yosuke was completely oblivious to what 'he' was saying, but he could tell from Zeo's expression something was going on. 'Another illusion, hm?' Yosuke pulled out his daggers, knowing that this was probably headed in only one direction. "But who would understand a machine, right? Even Soji and I think it'd be better if you just fought Shadows, shut up, and went back in the box when you're done. Leave saving the damsel to someone like me...because she's way out of your league." The illusion of Yosuke wrapping arms around himself and making kissing noises appeared, likely confusing Zeo. "She'll thank me, and maybe give me a little smooch! If you want, I'll tell you aaaalll about it...maybe even invite you to our wedding. You can be the cappuccino maker." "Everything that bores me has got to go!"

Minori Koroko, the Pitiable Archangel of Absolution Another round finished, and the blond was permitted to go forward. A sigh escaped her as she turned around the corner, walking down the stairs as she aimlessly made her way to...who knows where. The maze of a school was so twisted and so unlike the real Yasogami that she didn't even bother in making sense into the rooms and hallways around, knowing that whatever she did, she would end up somewhere she hadn't intended to walk into. Minori knew she needed to get to the Announcement Room, but...how long until she could freely walk without getting blocked one and again by invisible walls, the blond wasn't sure. For now...she would have to continue onwards, and hope for the best. The last fight had left her a bitter taste in her mouth; fighting Nix wasn't something she wanted to repeat ever again. Luckily, they had been able to clear things up...They had been listening different things, words meant to taunt, to hurt, to make them falter. For what intention though? What was the real meaning behind this tournament? Was it just for someone's entertainment? Or...was there something else? Did they want them to finish each other before the real enemy were to attack? Where only a wounded few were left, unable to keep up?
The thought made her shudder. Hopefully they would find the answer soon enough...and hopefully, she was wrong. Green eyes looked up, the change in scenery taking her attention. The classroom again... A part of her was thankful for she wouldn't have to keep looking for the place where she'd have to stay before advancing...another part of her was wary, fearing the fight to come. Idly she wondered who she'd have to encounter...who was left...how the others were doing. None of these questions eased her. Fingers closed around the small hairpin Soji had given her before entering the tv in hopes of getting some comfort as she looked around the room. "I'm tired..." she muttered to herself as she pressed her back against the wall, letting out a breath. How long...how much longer would they have to endure fight after fight? And against friends…which was worse.

"You just came because you thought it sounded like a good time!" "Maybe if you got lucky, you could be a hero." "Diarahan!" A wave of the best healing energy money couldn't buy washed through Yosuke as he took a few deep breaths, cracking his neck after that last battle just to make sure he'd gotten all the kinks out. Once again he'd found himself going all out, and once again he'd been surprised to learn there was someone who could duck and weave just fast enough to keep Yosuke from overwhelming them with his practiced skills. He'd been trying to learn so he could take down foes even quicker, with one quick strike for a while now, figuring it to be a good way they could get past enemies faster than ever before and straight to their ultimate enemies! ...but unfortunately, they'd found neither their ultimate enemy so far, nor even the enemy behind this damn tournament. It didn't even take a lot of attention for him to spot the door he was suppose to head in now, as use to the tricks of this trial as he could be by now. And it was good for him that he was getting use to the maze, because his mind was the farthest thing from the battle to come as he wandered, filled with the continued taunts from the tournament's master already. "I can't believe it's true. If what Rise and General Teddie said was so, then this whole tournament exists because I couldn't stand the boredom of my ordinary life. And that girl, who said she's from the Student Council...she was brought in here, just so there'd be a victim to save and a damsel in distress for me to save. Man, if all this is true..." Yosuke banged his head against the door, gritting his teeth for another minute in suspense. "Man...I'm such an idiot. I guess I better bite the bullet...h-huh..." The sigh escaped him as he once again told himself what was going to be ahead for sure, opening the door and stepping inside. Well, now that he was here, there was no reason for him to turn his mind on anything but the enemy... ...but the enemy was the farthest thing from what he'd expected. "M-minori! What are you doing here!?" Yosuke began, but his lips snapped shut as soon as he'd started into a conversation. He remembered the conversation he'd had with Zeo took a weird turn, and it was only after the battle that the two had discovered their words were being altered. If that was the trick they'd been using each round, then he might end up saying something hurtful to Minori without ever knowing he'd done something wrong. "Minori, I'm glad you're safe but...we can't communicate until the fight's over. If she won't back down...I'll have to go full out!" Yosuke's card appeared and he slashed it, his Persona surrounding him as he prepared his full power once again. He didn't make a move, standing there before her, confident, singular...he knew he couldn't say anything, but if he showed a bit of self-confidence then she might understand he wasn't going to give in, and that was a given. But at the same time, he wanted the appearance of he and his Persona, side by side, to give an air of resilience that she could depend on, along with a determination for her to offer her support to...if she could put down her own heart's sword for a few moments, that was. If not, then he would simply have to overpower any weak determination the illusion might be giving Minori to fight, and show her that he was going on, whether she liked it or not...he had a reason he had to win, and put an end to the mess that had started due to his own weakness and "General Teddie"'s volition. Speaking of, he was pretty sure he knew who the fake Ted was at this point, without even having to ask... "Everything that bores me has got to go!"
