The night was still fairly new, settling in as the shadows grew longer and the sky darkened more thoroughly. Camelot was out on patrol a bit early tonight, and he was also out for a shorter period of time. He had limited his patrols entirely for a little while, but he still felt the need to go out. With his arm healing, he was more sure of himself.
He was not breaking his promise to keep himself safe, he was sure he had done it justice enough.
So he was out near the library once again, setting off after locking up and taking Dogby home. He always returned to the library to technically start his patrol, though the route was a bit round about. Still, it was routine now, and he liked it that way.
Once he was powered up he set to the streets, staying at ground level tonight rather than jumping rooftops. Leave that to the younger generation (though he was still certainly capable and would not hear otherwise). He was just looking for a short, straightforward patrol. He was fine with youma run ins but was hoping against meeting anything more dangerous.
Still, it was part of the job.

Part of the job indeed.
Youmas were fairly easy to deal with with a simple throw of the tiara. Negaverse agents, on the other hand... Chronos didn't exactly know what to do with them. She was pretty sure that any of them would relish having said that they had managed to kill the Zodiac Princess. It was the sort of situation that had caused her death once, and was a cause of worry to the whole Court.
And yet, it was her duty to help protect Destiny City. The royal title wasn't only just a source of burden; it was a sign of power. Power which she had gained experience with constant practice and was comfortable enough to go patrolling alone. In the back of her head, she could hear Aries lecturing her in an outraged tone. Chronos would only reply that she was not going to die. Not again.
A familiar figure was spotted ahead of her, and Chronos brightened. "Camelot?" It was someone she hadn't seen in a while, and she was glad to see that he was doing fine! Why, he had even powered up since their last meeting!

Camelot turned when he heard a voice and felt the power that accompanied it. Or maybe he had turned when he felt the power and heard the voice shortly after. Either way, he spotted Chronos and smiled with genuine warmth.
He was surprised to see her out on her own, though in his mind a Princess should never be out alone. It made no sense, considering they had incredible powers and far more experience then, say, the newer senshi and those were the ones he should really be worrying about. But he was a knight and, more than that, he was a man who had day dreamed about other realms, like that of Camelot, and had learned about them through stories and fantasies captured in books.
Princesses, then, were beings meant to be protected and served, and should at least be accompanied by a knight or two when they went out.
He couldn't help but bow his head and upper body when she was close enough. It was habit now, but also just carried on a need to be polite.
"Is something wrong? Are you out on patrol?" He looked a little worried, though he tempered it.
