Calixte stumbled through the woods, hoping to find a stream sometime soon. Even though she had just had what had seemed like a water fight with a skinwalker, she was beginning to feel dehydrated once more. Her hair had come alive momentarily, and that had greatly sapped her strength. The dizziness from dehydration combined with the dizziness from being aboard a ship for months on land felt like a lethal combination, and all she wanted to do was find a place to sit down next to a stream.
As she hobbled further into the forests, she heard the trees whisper something... The gods were really being kind today - in the distance, she heard the gurgle of a brook, and she made a beeline for it. Hoping nothing would get in her way, she broke into a woozy trot.

 Not sure what to do she looked around the forest her ears twitching slightly. Darting through the trees she would be hard to spot for someone just gazing through the woods. She still had yet to meet someone who she could call a friend or something of the like. Most that she met were only passing through and after a greeting and a hello both were on there separate ways again. She did not long for friends but it would of been nice once and awhile.
She was small and dainty most other overshadowed her but she was bold. The brave and the strong always went headfirst into the world. She was open to anything and was not afraid of anything. She was stubborn in her own way and not scared to speak her mind. Of course that could cause problems with a strong stallion who wanted to be the leader. Even with friends she sometimes would say the wrong thing and drive them off. She kept wandering through the woods wondering what would await her.

Somewhere nearby, Calixte heard a branch snap and stopped in her tracks. She wasn't sure which direction it'd come from, and as her world tilted a bit from halting so suddenly, she heard her own breathing much louder than she'd expected. That ship had certainly taken the fitness out of her, and Cali knew she wouldn't be much of a match for anyone that actually took her at her word when she said she could defend herself. Her encounter with Einar must have been a fluke, as she surely felt weak now. Still, the promising sound of the stream threatened to draw her onward.
Taking a deep breath and braving the darkness of this new, imposing forest, she called, "Hello?"

Her hearing was good and she cold hear something in the distance. Not sure what it was but it sounded like someone speaking. Slowly she inched through the forest not sure who was out there. She needed someone to speak to who could relate to her and teach her. Looking out into the distance she noticed shape and slowly moved near it. There was a steam now flowing to one side of her. Stopping for a moment she walked to the edge and drank some cool refreshing water. Of course water always reminded her of another time when she was content and happy. Sighing to herself she draw back and pushed on further into the unknown.
Finally she saw the figure clearly. It was only a mare much like herself but very different. The mare seemed to have a mane of leaves and sharp pointy ears. Not sure what to make of her discovery she crept forward slowly and eyed the mare.
"Are you the one who was calling out into the forest?" She waits for a reply hoping this mare was not someone who would hurt her. She seemed to glow with a energy like she was part of the forest herself.

Calixte looked toward the sound of a mare's soft voice, and was struck by the sight of a female not so unlike herself, but not quite as similar to her as her friend Nevena - however, when she took a closer look, Cali noticed that the vines that she had thought, at first, crawled up the mare's legs were, instead, markings. The light green leaves also decorated her chest. "I am the one who called," Cali replied. "Do you know where the stream is? I can hear it, but I am in no state to find it." She leaned a little sideways without noticing, and righted herself subconsciously. Though Cali hated relying on others, she certainly hoped that this mare would mean well enough to at least point her in the right direction. The locals seemed friendly enough, after all, and she would certainly rather put herself at the mercy of this mare than try to find Einar, who was volatile at best.
"I am a bit dehydrated, you see," Cali said, hoping that this would explain her situation. "And in need of a little assistance, as I'm not at all sure my ears are working quite right."
