Snorting the young colt walked through the forest not really all that enthused about his family at the moment. From the look of it they were all weirdo's or completely crazy. His mother and father seemed to be the only level headed ones in it, but his dad was on a fine line. He was always pushing being a strong warrior on him and he didn't care too much since he would just roll his eyes and wander off, but it got annoying to hear every damn day. He was going to be a warrior no matter what anyway. It was something he felt was decided of him before he was even born. The only problem was all the training he was going to have to endure as a foal. That was the part that would be exhausting.
Flicking his Kirin tail behind him, he walked over to some old crappy looking tree, he kicked it with his front hoof. "I don't need a trainer to learn how to fight. I can do it all on my own. My dad can go train the weaker family members. I'm not weak." He snorted feeling like he could take on anything and sadly he probably could with how big his ego was. Though he might not win them all he felt like he could take on the world. He was a bit bigger then most foals since apparently he took over his father's bulky tall physique. He shook his head before kicking the tree one more time and walking away to head deeper into the forest. There had to be something interesting to do. He doubted it though. It seemed like everything around here was boring, but a couple words stayed in his mind.
"Live for the family, die for the family. What the hell does that mean? Why do I have to sacrifice my life for some strange family. They can kiss my-" He grumbled giving a snort at the end. He honestly didn't care. He would protect them if there was something worth protecting, but until he found that something he wasn't going to care too much. Though right now, he was going to wander in search of something to keep him entertained or his ignorant mouth flapping.

Words of another land were muttered softly, in a hushed tone, under ones breath. Slender, white speckled legs crossed soundlessly through the thick, untamed grass of an open plain. She'd never been in a meadow before... it was quite interesting... and a great place for predators to lurk around. But the mare wasn't worried; she could easily handle her own. It was in her blood to, after all. Since foalhood one was raised and taught how to protect and defend themselves, regardless of their opponent's size or advantages. Be the predator or be the prey. The choice was yours.
But this area seemed rather serene. Rabbits were hopping about, and mice were scurrying through the forest of grasses. Emerald eyes would scan along the ocean of green and khaki, admiring how the blades bent and swayed like water itself! such a curious place this was... Back home, grass was short, course, and hardly lasted that long before getting snapped up. As nice as all this was... she was finding herself to be bored of it all. There were not targets for her to pursue or check out, no one to threaten and squeeze information out of... she had no purpose but to live right now... and it really wasn't working for her.
A rather dull expression was on her pretty face, ears swiveling about in her thick man, lush tail tucked behind her securely. Ah... but there was a scent... of someone, a body, a horse. Her stride deterred to face to where the source was, sharp eyes attentive and poised on that aroma. Following it at a leisurely pace, her lean muscles lightly twitched into attention, prepared for what ever she may find. Fortunately, it was just... a foal. Another one? Seemed like that's all she'd been finding lately. A brow rose curiously at the sight, steps halted, and eyes narrowing in an inquisitive gesture, "a lone foal? are all parents gone..?" her thick accent spoke out to the youngling. Did adults here just abandon their offspring? how despicable.. or was this one sickly?

Hearing a voice, the colt turned his head at to see a black and white Cerynei mare there. She looked a bit odd especially with that damn thing on her chest, but also she looked like she could be in the family. This made him a little uneasy because he couldn't stand being around his family members 99.9% of the time. He was probably just assuming and like his dad always said, 'Assumptions are usually wrong so don't go by them just judge accordingly.' His father was more like a general then an actual father. It was something he didn't mind, but then it was something he could live without also. "Parents all gone? Sometimes I wish they were, but no they aren't. I simply go out on my own all the time. Why would I need a parent? Did you let your parents follow you around like leeches sapping your energy?" He grumbled digging his hoof into the ground before plopping down on the ground. Even though he had Gabriel's attitude, he did not have his motivation. He was a little lazy.
"By the way...what the hell is that thing on your chest? It looks like you tacked on some grumpy old guy's head there.." He mentioned about the tiki mask on her neck. It was odd and it made him curious. "Also...your not part of my family right? You kind of look like you could be in it...well maybe not. You have a weird accent and no one in my family has a strange accent. Your foreign right?" He asked tilting his head to the side, but giving out a snort. "Never met a foreigner before." He stated and then finally went silent. Sometimes he wouldn't stop talking.

A dark brow slowly rose underneath those heavy bangs of hers as the foal started yammering. Goodness... could this boy talk. But a mildly amused smirk vaguely twitched at the corner of her lips. Seemed like a bold colt, which was indeed good, but also could lead to arrogance... which could blind even the strongest individual. She sort of tuned out as he went on and on... but cued back in in time to give a slow shake of her head, "Talk much too much, little one." she replied casually, "too much questions." Stepping forward she looked around them once more to peer for parents that might be looming, before placing herself right in front of him.
Peering at him down her nose, she tipped her head one way... then the other, as if pondering, "You are bold for age, malʹchik. I will answer few questions." she stated finally, "Am from 'nother place, far off." her head tipped as if to gesture towards where that place might me, "where it is cold, and hardly ever warm." she paused... and found that was plenty that the child was allowed to know. Her nonchalant expression returned, and she gave him an inquisitive look; one an adult might give to a youngling who'd done something wrong, "Parents will not be worrying of you?" she asked slowly, drawing out each word, "can be unsafe for deti to be on own." sharp trained eyes took their sweet time to survey the area once more... doing a final check of their enemy status, before looking back down... and cracking a small, approving grin, "But you are big boy. Seem to be able to handle self, yeah? with horn too, I bet." her head lowered to give the pointy looking stick thing a nosing... having never seen a unicorn horn before.

Zachariah raised his brow at the odd female giving a small huff of disapproval. Yeah he knew he talked to much, but he also didn’t care. He couldn’t change his habit and most of the time he would just ramble non-sense at others for no reason. He didn’t think it was a bad thing then again he also didn’t think spitting or cursing at others was bad either. He just didn’t care about it at all. Maybe when he is older he would care a little bit more, but no need to act all grumpy now. “Hmph you act like talking is a bad thing. Maybe you don’t talk enough and are too quiet.” He muttered at the older mare. Though honestly he didn’t mind silence. It was the only time he could get any thinking done.
“I’m strong enough to take care of myself thank you very much. Why should I rely on someone else? Most of the time they are only looking out for themselves anyway. It’s a really pain in the butt. Though I’m not sure how I would be in that kind of situation. Maybe I wouldn’t care about the other person, but heh…never know.” He shrugged his shoulders and walked a little bit away from her. “My horn? This isn’t for hurting others. I would have preferred that, but sadly my dad isn’t exactly a lethal breed. This horn is actually for healing. At least that is what I’m told.” He nodded to her and knew he would have to get better at that ability. He didn’t know who or how someone was going to teach him though. He never liked getting help from someone else. It was a clear sign he was his father’s son since he was the same way.
“So what do you do?” He asked pointedly with a flick of his tail. Hopefully this mare did something interesting or she would be just another bore to him.
