The School
When the zombies came everyone inside the school fought back with whatever they could find and boarded up the doors and windows so the zombies couldn't get in. Some of the more heroic members of the student body banded together to force the remaining zombies back out the gates with every flare and flammable fluid they could find. Many of the students consider it a miracle they've been able to keep the zombies out for so long, sadly the students and teachers who were outside when the zombies came weren't so lucky. Most of the surviving students spend their days hanging out and trying not to think about what might have happened to their friends and family who weren't in the school building, a thought that has already sent people into a dark depression. There are enough bats and confiscated weapons to keep everyone safe for now but deep down everyone knows they'll be in trouble in trouble if the zombies ever broke through the gates.
There are rumors going around that there's an electrical maintenance shaft that leads to the nearby mall. And some of the more adventurous students have even jumped over the back gates in search of supplies or assistance.
