        Biography: Hashimoto Seikō was born into the noble house of Hashimoto (橋本, Bridge True), one of the four great houses, on the Hashimoto Teinai, located in the #1 District of the West Rukongai. The family is known for the grand architectural feats that her great-great-great-grandfather accomplished for the Royal Family as well as for the Seireitei after that. Architecture became the family business. However, it was not the only known attribute of the family when she was born. Her father Keirebu (ケイレブ, Caleb) had traveled the world for almost a century after his graduation from the Academy at the age of 160 years old before returning home to become the new Head of the family as well as to marry his best friend, a servant girl named Natsuki (夏季, Summer Season). While he had accomplished that, her mother had graduated at 90 years of age, but the same time as he, and joined the Onmitsukidō instead. It had been a natural fit as she progressed steadily but notably, belonging to the first branch of the organization, Executive Militia for most of her career. Within a couple of years, the older woman had become known as Kamikaze (神風, Divine Wind), a sobriequet based entirely on her mastery of Hakuda and the covert ways of the Onmitsukidō. After their marriage, the extra-curricular accomplishments did not stop. In fact, they took flight about ten years later when her father traveled some more and learnt both his Shikai and Bankai in twenty years more or less while her mother stayed home to raise her, to learn and perfect her Bankai, as well as to build a self-defense program from the ground upwards.

        With all of that history and greatness around her when she was a child, it was not the easiest task to gain the respect of her parents as well as that of the servants. In an effort to inspire what she was capable of based on genetics alone, they enrolled the thirty year old child in the Shinō Academy but unlike her dad's feat of working tremendously during his last year or her mother's almost legendary completion of the program in half of the time, Seikō had done her best in everything but had managed to graduate on time and without any stellar achievements to call her own. Thankfully, Seikō was blessed with the early development of her Zanpakutō, Nikkō (日光, Sunlight ) shortly after her time in the academy, making her fifty years old at the time. In spite of her parent's combined expertise on the manner of learning about one's Zanpakutō, she was left to her own devices for the rest of that century. Unfortunately, this ended in her ability to work only with Nikkō's sealed abilities and she could not release her at all. Eventually, Natsuki came to her daughter's rescue and took the child under her wing. If it was one thing that Seikō learned during those next fifty years, apart from her Shikai, was that her mother deserved all of the criticism that came with her praise for being a noted past member of the Onmitsukidō as well as her current business. It was on a higher level than what she had experienced within the Academy as she was trained extensively in Karate-do as well as other forms of Hakuda combat till she was at her mother's mastery level. Her speed was forced to enhance and to surpass that of a Hohō Expert, a skill that allowed her to become quite the proficient Shunpo practitioner as well. Because Natsuki would accept nothing else, she was taught how to hold her breath as well as how to swim on a level beyond that of an Olympic swimmer in speed and endurance. By the end of the entire experience with her mother, Seikō was not the same girl and she appreciated it more that her parents had accomplished so much in their separate lifetimes. It gave her a reason to keep moving forward, not only for the family name, but for herself as well. Newly inspired, she applied to the Gotei 13 less than a century after her graduation. Soon after that, she was admitted as the 10th Division Lieutenant. Once that had been established, her father had retired and had her sworn in as the new head of the family promptly the next day. Unfortunately, her apparent greatness seemed temporary as within a year, the girl resigned from her position due to a shameful scandal and left the Seireitei completely. The only reason that her family did not hunt her down was because she had left a note stating that she needed to find her own path.

        For the next fifty plus years, her mailing address was a clubhouse that her father had built for her before she was born. It was called Shibaigoya no Toraneko (芝居小屋の虎猫, Playhouse of the Wild Cat) and located in the middle of an expansive plot of green pasture within the North York Moors, North Yorkshire, England. She traveled for most of that time, only stopping to check the mail and to tend to the building. Other than that, she allowed herself to see the World of the Living. Honestly, it is similar to what her father had done all those years ago. He need to gain some life experience. That is why he was able to come back for his father's funeral and later, marry his best friend. While nothing like that was in the cards for Seikō, she grew to understand her strengths much better. She became aware of how things work in actuality and that has tempered out some of her boisterous characteristics. In fact, it has enhanced her need to search for the truth and her general lack of trust in people generally. Ten years after her departure from the Sereitei, she began cleansing Hollow as a rogue Shinigami. It was not long after this that she came across another rogue. She did not take to him immediately, but their paths kept crossing so much that eventually, they entertained a relationship. She learned to love and when he left her, she learned to grieve to become whole once more. The affair lasted for years. He had taught her many things especially to refine her skill with her Shikai. After that, she continued her work with Hollows in many different countries, such as Italy and Japan, forging new bonds everywhere that she visited. She wrote home when she could. It was not often. When her life seemed to become no more than a lifeless niche, she decided for herself that it was time to return to the Sereitei. Upon her arrival, her parents greeted her warmly, but her younger adopted sister, Tabitha did not subscribe to this. The reaction was understandable because during Seiko's absence, the younger female had achieved Shikai under their mother's instruction. In addition, a portion of Tabitha's biological family history was revealed with the introduction of abilities associated only with Nekokajinshu (猫科種, Feline Kinds). Essentially, she was not there during her sister's time of need. Unfortunately, her lack of experience with Nekokajinshu prevented the older woman reaching out to her sibling. She did not want to know. More secure with herself as a person, Seiko moved back into her old room and applied to the Gotei 13 the next day.

        Personality: Seikō takes a lot after her mother, apart from a fondness for body modification and startling blue eyes, in that she possesses maternal instincts and a wicked wit. She does not take anything at face value and needs to know the truth about everything around her that seems a bit suspicious. When not investigating other people and possible stories, she is silent yet friendly. Sometimes it is friendly to the point of being flirtatious and because she is her mother's child, she does not hide it in the slightest but it is never anything serious. It is a love for fun that seems unnatural and forced at first but after being around her for a while, it is an inseparable quality of her person. Due to her extroverted manner, it is difficult to figure her out especially when it comes to emotions because she treats everyone the same more or less. Even in battle, she is very playful and refrains from revealing too much about her own capabilities while testing out those of the opposing side.

        She does not show a serious side often, a habit that enhances how dire the situation must be in reality to her. She does not appreciate being compared to anyone else, even her parents, because she knows how hard it was the first few years when they expected her to be super woman and she could not deliver. As an extension, she does not like it when people have certain expectations of her, even if they are independent of her parental units. She lives life by her own rules and does not see the need to change for anyone. As much as her personality may be appear to be positive, she is very neutral about most things and does not trust people easily, never taking their word at face value. When amongst friends, she is more relaxed, but her wit does not subside. It is a part of her.

        Due to her time away from home, she is not as flirtatious as she used to be, she is still sociable. Her wit has sharpened tremendously and she is even more duty-bound to find the truth. Nothing is as it seems and she learnt that firsthand during her time in the World of the Living. If anything, her work as a rogue Shinigami has solidified her loyalty towards the Gotei 13. A life like that once lived is not appealing anymore. Her previous fears about the Sereitei have not been resolved as yet, but they seem more manageable now. She was living on her own practically for the past sixty years of her life. She is not that little girl who left with only her parents' ideals to guide her. Her spirit has tempered out into the adult version of herself. While she does not possess the wisdom of some elders, she is no longer naive and her thirst for truth has become even more amiable. Upon greeting, she is quite friendly and unlike Tabitha, she likes to play during a battle. It is probably the only aspect of her being through which her flirtatious can shine.

► Zanpukuto


        Zanpukuto Name: Nikkō (日光, Sunlight)
        Type: Light
        Unreleased form : It is a glass stirring rod, 10” in length. She is powered by the sun and in this form, she absorbs much more of the necessary sunlight than if she were to remain a sword, katana or otherwise. For the times that she has to be covered and for the night as well, there is a cache of pure sunlight that lines the middle of the rod. It is fairly bright and allows for a few abilities to be used while she is in her sealed state as well as is the main source for a select few of abilities when she is released. For that reason, the cache of sunlight lines the middle of her form, whether sealed or not.
        Zanpakuto Spirit Nikkō, also known as Nikki (日記, Diary), is a young woman dressed in yellow with an umbrella on her person most of the time.
        Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: Personality-wise, she is very strict about rules but is very open to meeting new people and getting to know them. Unlike her other half, she grazes 5’ barely.

          Type: Defensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
          By channeling the emission of sunlight through either one of the rod’s poles into the immediate geomagnetic force of the Earth, Seikō is able to create an auroral zone of her own. Through the execution of this, a faint circle spreads out from beneath her feet at the literal speed of light and stretches until it is 50 feet in diameter. It does not burn those who stand on it but, it will give shadow to those who have made themselves invisible, foe or friend, in spite of the method used to cast such an effect. The colour of this circular formation is ever-changing.

        • Hotaru (蛍, Lightning Bug)
          Type: Neutral/No Callout/Activated
          By rubbing either end of the rod against her skin or clothes, Seikō is able to create a small enough charge that attracts light particles toward the tip in question. Despite the small surface area, the concentration of photons causes the glow to be brighter than that of a flashlight as well as to stretch further than that. This ability does not depend on external sources of sunlight, whether it is day or night time. It uses the cache locked within itself as its source.

          Name: Denjibougai (電磁妨害, Electromagnetic Interference)
          Description: When either end of the rod passes through or touches an attack that utilizes electrical or magnetic fields, they are dispelled, not negated but scattered in other directions other than that of Seikō. Additionally, it negates offenses of a frequency nature, making them useless against her. This includes frequencies 8×1014 Hz and below, inclusive of those that would affect one’s hearing such as higher than 20 kHz, even though they do not travel within a vacuum as light does. If the strength of the frequency is higher than that, the rod vibrates wildly for a few seconds before reverting to its sealed state automatically. Examples of such things are UV radiation, X-rays, and gamma rays. Within the aforementioned range, there are the colours of the rainbow, infrared radiation, microwave, and radio wave.

          Name: Kussetsukaku (屈折角, Angle of Refraction)
          Description: By using sunlight from the actual sun or from the locked cache within it when applicable, the rod can change its physical appearance. However, this ability is limited to it keeping its general cylindrical shape. This means that it can lengthen into a longer staff, shorten into a coin, or widen and thin out as is necessary. A combination of these is possible so that even a wide, flat disk can be conjured.

          Name: Kairobai (懐炉灰, Body Warmer)
          Description: Seikō places either of her open palms into direct sunlight and it absorbs the thermal energy. By pressing the hand in question onto a wounded being, herself included, she can execute a full-body cauterization on open injuries where needed and replenish the person’s body heat simultaneously. If applied to someone that is not wounded in the manner described previously, the thermal energy will induce an uncomfortable increase in body temperature by one hundred degrees, making the person feel as though they are on fire, an effect that lasts for two posts.

          Name: Hidamari (日溜り, Sunny Spot)
          Description: By using sunlight from the actual sun or from the locked cache within it when applicable, a concentrated beam of sunlight is emitted from the desired end, acting as a laser that can be used for cauterization on wounds and cutting through metals such as steel and its alloys as well as the body offensively. If the sunlight is the power source, the laser can be used against metals but if it is the cache of sunlight within the piece, it is safer to use on the body.

          Name: Boujishaku (棒磁石, Bar Magnet)
          Description: Without being released fully, Nikkō is limited and as such, where her magnetic affinity is concerned, she is able to attract and repel metals such as iron, nickel, and colbalt, inclusive of metal parts of other objects. Due to this interaction with metallic substances, the metals found in the human body and the Earth’s crust can be affected as well. It works on a humanoid being if the rod is able to touch the person. Its effect on the Earth is that it can pull metal directly out of it or create craters and holes in the surface. While in this released state, Nikkō cannot conduct any forms of electrical currents.

        Bankai Appearance : Unlike her Shikai, both Nikkō and Seikō are changed physically. While Nikkō morphes into a wand made of glass.
        Physical Changes : Seikō's current clothing slips off her body to reveal a new vintage print kimono party orange dress that hides her boots. Her hair colour changes from black to a fairly bright platinum blonde as well as that her eyes are hazel now.

          Name: Kokutai (黒体, Black Body)
          Description: Being the inverse of Denjibougai (電磁妨害, Electromagnetic Interference), this ability allows Seikō to absorb electrical, magnetic, and even frequency-based attacks and their adverse side effects into her physical body. In spite of hitting her if there is such a physical effect, their respective energies are assimilated and used to fuel her abilities of similar natures, leaving her own store of energy untouched and preserved. However, this regurgitation of energy works only for the first ability executed after it was absorbed. After that, she is using her own deposits for fuel.

          Name: Kansouki (乾燥季, Dry Spell)
          Description: When either end of the wand comes into contact with a non-electrical and/or non-magnetic Kido spell, a large electromagnetic field is created at the tip in question. This field disrupts the very makeup of the spell, causing it to disintegrate and become Reishi (霊子, Spirit Particles) that fades away into the atmosphere eventually. It affects Captain-level Kido #70 and below, even though Seikou cannot utilize spells of that strength. However, the stronger the spell, the longer it takes for it to be disintegrated. Those above the #40 mark take two posts.

          Name: Tsuichou (追徴, Supplementary Charge)
          Description: Because of the electromagnetic nature of this Bankai, Seikō is able to create electric and magnetic fields separately as well as alter those made by other people, switching one into the other and vice versa. She can make these fields as small or big as is needed as well as manipulate their properties if all she needs is magnetism or electricity as the case may be.

            Name: Tsuichou: Baffamemori (追徴 [バッファメモリ], Supplementary Charge: Buffer Memory)
            Description: Seikō materializes an electrical field in the open palm of her hand, and takes away its distinct form, leaving a free form of electricity to swirl in her hand. By holding her hands with a person’s head in the space between them, not touching exactly, she is able to transfer the electrical charge into the person’s brain, altering their memories via interference with the synaptic pulses. It is not a permanent change and can be rectified with the application of another strand of electricity at any time. However, if left alone, the affected memory can last for 100 years for the most.

            Name: Tsuichou: Shoujunkigou (追徴 [照準記号], Supplementary Charge: Aiming Field)
            Description: Through the application of Hadō #4: Byakurai (白雷, White Lightning) to the wand, a compressed electromagnetic orb, the maximum size of a basketball, forms around it or at either end. One of these orbs can be thrown or shot at the opponent, or kept on Seikō’s hand until she is sure that she can make contact. Upon contact, the orb explodes, electrocuting its victim before a repulsion field is activated, causing both external and internal damage respectively.

            Name: Rashin (羅針, Compass Needle)
            Description: A field of magnetism is created against a flat surface, preferably Seikō’s open palm or the ground. Unaffected, it behaves like a normal compass. However, if placed against the ground and a particular being or place is kept in mind; it turns instead of to north to the general direction in which the target can be found.

            Name: Nisshoujikan (日照時間, Daylight Hours)
            Description: While the sun is visible, Seikō is able to manipulate sunlight as she desires. This ability can be achieved only through usage of the external source of sunlight, i.e. the sun. She cannot tap into the cache caught within the wand because it is too little to power it. The potential formations include the shapes of other energy-based attacks such as Kido and Cero as well as that of weapons but are not limited to them. However, when these objects of light come into contact with another being, they burn, whether it is through the victim or to set it aflame. There is a minority of techniques that is more defined than this.

              Name: Nisshoujikan: Ama no Ukihashi (日照時間 [天の浮橋], Daylight Hours: Bridge to Heaven)
              Description: A small orb of compressed light particles appears in the palm of her hand or on the tip of her wand. Either way, it glows even brighter than Hotaru (蛍, Lightning Bug), almost blinding to other people’s normal eyesight. However, Seikou’s eyes adjust naturally so as not to squint or to avert her gaze from the orb. Upon saying the name of the technique, the orb explodes, releasing a sunlight ray that can rival the strength of a Cero Oscuras very easily and burns like fire.

              Name: Nisshoujikan: Boukado (日照時間 [防火戸], Daylight Hours: Fire Door)
              Description: The tip of the wand alights and Seikō draws a shape in the air. Upon completion of it being drawn, the shape fills up with light and acts as a shield for Seikō and whoever else is within her circle of personal space. It is rectangular in shape usually but is not limited to that. It can defend against blade attacks made by a Captain as well as Kido #70 and below.

              Name: Nisshoujikan: Tenjoumukyuu (日照時間 [天壌無窮], Daylight Hours: As Eternal as Heaven and Earth)
              Description: This is a much stronger version of Nisshoujikan: Ama no Ukihashi (日照時間 [天の浮橋], Daylight Hours: Bridge to Heaven), five times to be exact. It can be used once only upon activation of Bankai. If Seikō desires to use it again, Bankai will have to be activated again. The tips of her fingers on one hand shine like miniature suns. She makes a fist out of that hand and immediately, it glows white hot, too bright even for Seikō to look at it directly. The hand is kept like this until it makes contact with her desired target. Upon impact, the concentration of that much fiery power escapes into the person’s body, complete incineration upon impact as well as extreme internal damage.

Learning under the older woman, she was taught both Hakuda as a general combat style as well as the specific style of Karate-do. She was an assistant during demonstrations for her mother's program and practiced on her own time, feeling the pressure to please her mother in this if nothing at all. Eventually, she came into her own interpretation of the form of battle, combining the swift, acrobatic movements and clandestine manner of descisive execution of her teacher with the innate playfulness of her persona through countless training sessions and spars with others, armed or not, to become known as a Master Hakuda Combatant.

        This is yet another thing that she was taught by her mother during the last fifty years. With the older woman being on par more or less with the Onmitsukidō Commander-in-Chief of her time, Seikō raced her mother everyday for those years, placing weights and other hinderances on her person to increase her speed to the point that it was not limited to her feet and she can move her body as fast as if she were executing Shunpo.

        With the development of her expertise on Hohō, she achieved this status as a by-product more than anything else.

Because of this, she has a higher level of endurance than most her age, being able to fight prolonged battles one-on-one with little to no fatigue.

      • Experienced Breath Holder
        With all of the training that she had to do to achieve Olympic-level swimming, Seikō learned how to hold her breath for the extensive period of ten minutes, half of what her mother is capable of doing. Currently, she is able to do it on command without a lot of preparations. During the time period, she slips into a meditative state of being where all of her senses are heightened and sensitive to external sources.

      • Experienced Swimmer
        This developed through the application of Hohō to her swimming until it was normal for her to move through water at such speeds without much fatigue.

      • Feline Transformation
        Out of pure boredom and the genetic ability to transform into an animal on her father's side, Seikō learnt, trained, and perfected the ability to change her body appearance or any part of it into that of an adult jet black cat, maintaining her natural blue eyes and her voice.

Just a few issues with your zanpukuto, it's mostly just queries though:

- For Denjibougai, does it just basically mean any electrical attack?

- For Boujishaku, how would it affect a person they touch? Because typically there's metal in blood.

- Nisshoujikan: Boukado should have a defense PL, 4/5?

- Nisshoujikan: Tenjoumukyuu: The damage would really depend on how your opponent defends so just make sure you keep that in mind, the damage you have written may not actually happen (some people in this guild just refuses to take damage, stop god-modding people). Also is this attack fire-based? Since technically...

- No, it's a defense against electrical and/or magnetic attacks but only if the rod passes through it. I suppose that I can state that it emits its own electromagnetic charge in order to accomplish that as well as the negation of a specific range of frequencies.

- It affects a person only if they come into contact with the rod, skin to glass. In such a case, the only available attack would be to repel the person. The results can range from a minor break in the skin to losing a limb. Wouldn't the result depend on the PL of the counterattack made by the affected person?

- Why should it? I thought that all offenses and defenses were out of 10.

- Of course, I will. I don't autohit. When I wrote that description, it was to describe the intensity of it. I suppose that that can be said, but it is based on the power that Seiko receives from the sun and the sun is fiery to an extent.
