~::Mayonaka Arena - P1-Grand Prix::~ Yasogami High(?) (Shoe Lockers) - Inside the TV A strange replica of the Yasogami High School campus inside the television, travel throughout the school is much more difficult due to invisible barriers preventing easy access to other areas of the school. Though it appears similar to the actual school on the outside, running through the hallways can seem to go on forever, and just when it seems as though you're on the right track, the invisible walls block your path and redirect you to wherever the person holding the tournament wishes you to go. And all throughout the building there is a pervasive air of danger, a heavy feeling not unlike the television world's fog or the atmosphere in the Dark Hour. Innocent it may look, but dangerous it most certainly is...and with monitors and a PA system lining nearly every nook and cranny of the school, it's clear that somebody not only wants to see what's going on throughout the event...but they want everyone else to know that they are watching, too. Why? Because the ongoing event at the school is the P1-Grand Prix! A desperate fighting program pitting friend against friend in combat until the one true champion is revealed! Who is behind it and why they put together such an elaborate event is the mystery everyone is trying to solve...but only one person can reach the summit and discover the truth! It's Investigation Team versus Investigation Team, but they're not the only ones inside the TV...the only question is, which one will still be standing when it's over?!
...
This battleground is located in front of the Yasogami Shoe Lockers; monitors line the walls, and strange, shadow-like creatures line the outskirts of the area as though they were an audience. They feel like shadows, but what they truly are is unknown...could they be shadows? Shades? Wraiths? Something more?
Win your battle and you may find out, but only the winner can move on! Will you be the victor? Quote: *~:: P1-Grand Prix [Round 1] ::~*

Orvaeus Velvatair Orvaeus opened his eyes as he entered the small world, having been drafted into this by...Something stronger. I'll have to do what I can for Seta-senpai. Orv thought, flicking open his razor, and feeling his body fill with the regenerative powers of his armor. With Prometheus, and his own powers....He felt he could really do some damage. He flexed his arm, and felt the armor stinging into him, invigorating him, and energizing him. It was just a matter of his opponent appearing.....And him dicing him into as many pieces as he could... If he took some blows, that was fine too....So long as his opponent took more. Quote: Orvaeus is prepared for Battle! Weapon: Cuts inflict Bleed effect [Sap a small amount of HP for 3 turns], If striking a joint on a limb, roll 1/10 odds. If successful, limb will suffer ligament/tendon damage and suffer paralysis for 3 turns or until healed by an ally. Armor: Penance Suit. [Hp -25%. Auto-Heat Riser] Accessory: Black Mambas: Inflict poison upon enemies who are pricked by or hit by these pins when thrown as projectiles (Increase status odds 50% for this pin's poison)

Akihiko Sanada, the Two-Fisted Protein Junkie "...Protein...give me a double shot of protein! The good stuff...""Mitsuru...? Mitsuru, can you hear me?! Damn it..." his voice was deep and filled with no small trace of annoyance. Getting split up upon entry into the television was not a part of the team's plan, and already their first major mission as Shadow Operatives was off to a really bang-up start. He had left the SEES-2 team to their own objectives because he thought that they would be able to get inside the TV, recover the stolen property Mitsuru had mentioned was taken the day before, and get back in time for dinner to the secondary SEES Dorm in Inaba. No dice so far, and at this rate, he was going to exhaust himself in this atmosphere before he managed to get outside again. Who knew what effects this sort of place might have on his lungs? And his coaches were probably losing their minds trying to contact him, since he had taken the day off from Championship Fight preparations without telling them. ...Well, he intended to tell them when he got back (and go through with practice if he could), but that was basically off the table at this rate. ...Still, they needed to regroup immediately, but they could investigate on their own as they went, too. He couldn't contact Mitsuru, however, and Minato, Junpei, and Aigis were all separated from him as well. Now he found himself at a shoe locker inside of a school...one he recognized, though it wasn't his own. All of this could fit inside of the TV? 'Looks like Seta and his friends' weren't full of s**t after all,' the detective-turned-boxer thought calmly, assessing the area just a little bit longer before his eyes finally found themselves focused on another person rather than all the lame-a** posters lining the wall. But this person wasn't in any of their files on the Investigation Team, was he? No, those bandages...the scissors...he recognized this guy from the reports on the Black Messiahs!
"Hey, you..." he called out, extending a gloved fist towards his opponent with a stern glare, "You're Orvaeus Velvatair, of the Black Messiahs, aren't you? ...Tell me what you're doing here." It wasn't a request, but a command...the type that gave you no room to argue before you were either talking or eating pavement. His cape flourished behind him and his expression hardened, clearly not in the mood to take any guff from this guy. He needed to find his friends and stop this thing, and the best way to do that was to have information. And as someone who frequented this side of the world, this guy was the perfect source to find out about that. Most likely. "Talk, or I'll knock it out of you. Do the Black Messiahs have anything to do with this weird place?" he asked, clenching his fist tightly in warning, "...if you tell me where to find what was stolen from the Kirijo, I'll make this quick."
He didn't even hear the bear, nor did he care for what bull it was spewing. All of his training had prepared him to fight, not to talk to a stuffed animal on a monitor screen. And now one of his enemies was standing in front of him. He almost wanted the guy to be dumb enough to attack him...
...Scratch out the almost part. Yeah, he could really use this chance to stretch his legs.

Orvaeus Velvatair Orvaeus chuckled as the strange figure with a red cape-like jacket emerged, squabbling a bit over something to try to find his others, snapping at him quickly and glaring at him. "Who? Me?" Orv called, raising his hands innocently. "I was just...having a nice, peaceful walk through the school. No harm in that, right?" An act quickly dropped as the man then gave him a calm threat, offering to make it quick if he told him where that which was taken went. "Oh, but a quick match is no fun." Orvaeus called, sliding around the scissors he'd oh so casually borrowed from a certain someone, plunging it into the palm of his hand casually. "To get the maximum enjoyment out of this, you need to really drag it out. Let the fight continue on and on, bleeding out all of your miserable Morals, hopes and dreams, slumped against the floor. Isn't that the way things ought to be?" Orvaeus raised his hand to his face, licking at the hole in his hand as it started to slowly patch itself up, before his other hand flicked several thin needles at the cape-wearing man, laced with a powerful poison. "That's just how a fight....Truly should be!" If Akihiko wanted a fight, he was going to get one. Orv was probably the most eager to let some blood spill of the Messiahs, though probably the least likely to talk. Shadow-y energy started to encircle Orvaeus as he stood, amassing his power, and ridding Akihiko of any doubts he might have even remotely had for him to be anything but the one on the report.

Akihiko Sanada, the Two-Fisted Protein Junkie "...Protein...give me a double shot of protein! The good stuff..."It didn't take him long for the other guy to confirm the suspected identity...those scissors digging into his hand matched all of the reports he had read about the b*****d's masochistic tendencies, and the way that he spilled his own blood as though it were simple as eating breakfast. Seeing the crimson spill and the boy dart his tongue out to couch near the wound, he let out a half-snort and spit to the side, distaste for the antics plain in the more mature features of the boxing detective. "You really are twisted...but that doesn't really matter to me," his words were hard and without pity, seeing only the enemy before him and anticipating the fight that was sure to come shortly after. Though he couldn't deny that a fight dragging on was fun in some instances, those thoughts were only true when both fighters were giving it their all, hanging in with all they could while firing back...it was a way of measuring yourself as a man, your determination, not just some sick way to get your kicks by beating up on another person. Akihiko in the ring had always been a sportsman, and against shadows he had always been a man on a mission, straight to the point in hopes of learning more and becoming stronger. Fighting for the glee of drawing blood was just wrong, even to him. This guy...he didn't know the meaning of the sanctity of the fight! And in his mind he was issuing the challenge, but he didn't need to...needles flew across the distance like little lightning bolts, however their target was a man who commanded lightning itself. Ducking and weaving as he moved in, the needles flew harmlessly over his shoulders with just one or two sticking in the hem of his hook, dropping out a moment later on the far side.
"If you wanna fight, come on then! I'll be your opponent," the boxer called out, his dash already having covered the ground between them and put him in close quarters with the charging teen before him...his right hand drew back for a violent hook designed to catch the boy's attention, but that feint only opened the way for a punch that would churn the insides and send bile and stomach contents flooding up Orv's throat...a Japanese Championship Contender's thudding left-uppercut to the solarplexus. Lightning seemed to reflect in his gray eyes as he stared determinedly straight into those of his enemy, as if challenging him to retaliate...a terrifying, sturdy beacon of power that would not give way, would not break, would not back down from any enemy. ...Even in close range his body remained limber, crouched into an attacking stance, and he weaved his upper body, bouncing back and forth between his feet for the inevitably counterattack. He was securely within his domain now, was Akihiko Sanada. In close range...in the fight...against the shadows. And if this kid thought he knew a thing about fighting, he was about to get a rude awakening from a real pro in the art... "In battle, there's no point in words," he scolded the kid in front of him almost, just waiting for any retaliation, "Let your fists do the talking...and if you can't get your point across, then get stronger until you can. That is the way of men."Quote: Ultimate Hit: Phys. attack bypasses physical resistances. Uppercut to the solarplexus. [Target: Orv]

Orvaeus Velvatair Orv let out a small whistle at Akihiko's timely dodge of his needles. It was definitely impressive, and as the man slammed a fist into him, Orv's stomach lurched, blood splattering onto Akihiko as he was knocked back, easily. Orv eventually rolled to his feet, a sick retching sound being heard as he coughed up a mix of questionable fluids, pushing himself back up quietly. "Mind Turning down the Volume...? Orv snapped, staggering to his feet as his scissors were plunged into his thigh, the boy standing up. His own shirt gave way to the armor underneath, doing it's best to try to bridge the gap in power....to little avail. A dark blue card dropped from the sky at this, before Orv gripped it between his hands, and slammed it against his chest, white-hot Nuclear flames moving between him and Akihiko to strike. He coughed violently as he clutched his slowly healing stomach, in pain from the strike. s**t...what kind of monster is he? Orvaeus thought, trying to pull himself together. It was hard....his strikes were inhumanly strong...

Akihiko Sanada, the Two-Fisted Protein Junkie "...Protein...give me a double shot of protein! The good stuff..."If he didn't have a grasp on the kid's skills before this, seeing him wretch at the singular blow that he couldn't avoid to his chest was enough to let him know that while the person in front of him was pretty twisted, he wasn't nearly on the level physically as some of the other challenges he had been through. That gave him a bit of confidence, sure, but it was too early to celebrate or take it easy...the staggering boy stabbing himself as if to help himself back to his feet before crushing a persona card and launching powerful nuclear flames in his direction before he could realize what he was doing. Burning, tingling radiation washed over him, and he could feel some of the hairs on his arm and the skin on his exposed upper body singe, but it was gone before it could really make a dent in him thanks to the natural resistance that Caesar gave him to spells. It was clear that Orv's magic wasn't on the level of a lot of the enemies Akihiko was used to, either...and he was beginning to suspect that between the two of them, their skills were simply not on the same level. ...One thing he couldn't say, however, was that the kid didn't have any determination in him. To stand up after having the wind (and lunch) knocked out of him so easily a few moments earlier and mount an attack like that wasn't something to be sneezed at. He would acknowledge the kid had guts...but that was about all that he had going for him in this fight.
"Sorry, but I only ever train at full strength," his voice was deep and stern as he found his stance again, lightning suddenly crackling at his extended fist and across the breadth of his wide shoulders, the length of his lean body, "Well then, come at me!" It was a challenge and a promise...the next attack would be worse than the last. But if he had the stomach to take it, he'd be glad to give the kid another thrashing. Orvaeus Velvatair Orvaeus cringed as he stood, hearing the caped-guy going on about how he could only ever train at full strength. At least...he's not holding back. Orvaeus called, watching his Nuclear attack connect for a few moments, before it vanished too. So..the gulf between this was this wide... "If you insist.." Orvaeus called, starting towards Akihiko in what looked like the same sort of charge he had before. Orvaeus moved towards him with the razor in hand, though he raised it up far before reaching the caped-Hero. If there was any doubt to his lack of fighting skills at all, it would be evident from the desperate slash, before the blue card came down again mid-swing for him to crash into it. After which, a sudden slashing attack from Orv's Persona moving to attack at Akihiko in place of the razor once....twice even. He hadn't fully crossed the distance between them yet....And while one hand was now covering his stomach, he raised the other one to try to protect his chin, waiting on the inevitable counterattack. He doubted the slash would be suddenly more effective against someone like the caped persona user, so he had to be prepared...

Akihiko Sanada, the Two-Fisted Protein Junkie "...Protein...give me a double shot of protein! The good stuff..."It hadn't taken much to get this kid into panic mode, and his attacks, while perhaps formidable for those who were on his level, were painful inconveniences for him. Akihiko's goading had launched the kid into an all-out attack, charging at him with a razor that gave way to a persona just as he neared the range where he might be able to hit him; this, of course, was what he had been hoping for. His cringing and covering his stomach and chin was a natural defense taken against a boxer when he had already demonstrated the ability to target said points. However, there were far more vital points than just the stomach and the chin...and even as a pair of heavy slashes slammed into his guard and left cross-shaped gashes on his forearms, they weren't deep enough to stop what was sure to come next. ...Trickles of crimson ran down his arms, but he paid them hardly any mind, using the obscurity of Orv's own guard against him...dashing with lightning crackling over his body...into range and in a crouch that kept him below his line of sight but well within range for the blow that he intended to throw. The difference in speed and control between his own practiced burst and Orv's desperate charge would be on full display now as his opponent tried to react, but even then the Protein Junkie's fists were already in motion, a blur of crimson glove, pale fingers, and crackling violet lightning as his left fist curled around the stomach guard and buried its knuckles into the boy's liver.
A perfect shot to the liver, many boxers recounted after vicious body-blow knockouts, felt just like a gunshot to the side. It stole the wind out of you and paralyzed your body temporarily, a pain unlike any other...the liver was one of the only internal organs in the torso with absolutely no bone covering on the side, meaning a well-placed punch could literally dig straight into the tender inside of it with little resistance...for a pain so intense that full grown men and boxers who had trained to endure punches for their entire lifetime would still hunch over and throw up their dinners, even sometimes brought to tears by it. All you had to know was where to put your fist and at what angle to throw for the greatest result. And Akihiko Sanada had perfected this body blow throughout the course of his boxing career...which he now directed at this pain-loving boy, thunder dancing along his arm to add yet another level to this exquisite new plateau of pain he intended to give to Orvaeus Velvatair. And even for a ritualistic cutter like him, this pain would be like nothing he had ever felt before. If he was lucky, it would keep him down for a while and end the battle. If he was unlucky, he might just be able to get back up and take some more punishment. ...And by 'he', Akihiko meant Orv, of course.
At this rate, even if he could get back up, it would only increase his suffering...Quote: Ultimate Hit: Pierce resistances with Phys. Attacks.

Orvaeus Velvatair Like a sack of bricks, Orvaeus was knocked about, falling to the ground, and retching up another gross mix of fluids, his body weak and frozen for a bit. His...attacks.. Orvaeus thought to himself, his whole body aching. The other man was a professional...on a whole nother level..and he was helpless to stop him. He violently coughed some more, red starting out again as he rolled himself over. "I....I can't stand..." he called quietly, his whole body pale as Akihiko stood, showing that yes, Akihiko had felled him, despite his Body Enduring the blow. "But you're not getting s**t from me!" he called out defiantly, a single finger going up from his left hand, as he slashed at his own body with the Razor, blood splattering across it, and across the floor as he passed out from blood loss. He may have lost the match...but he wasn't going to talk, or give the man the satisfaction of trying to beat it out of him.

Akihiko Sanada, the Two-Fisted Protein Junkie "...Protein...give me a double shot of protein! The good stuff...""Ooooooh! What a showing! This newcomer's got some serious moves! Could he be one of the Tournament Favorites?" victory came accompanied by the cheers of the announcer girl on screen, but not a moment after his opponent fell and his arms crossed in disappointment, gray eyes glaring down at the obstinate Messiah, that robotic voice on the Teddie bear on the monitor sounded out again in response to his success, "Intruder classified as an acceptable target. Proceed to secondary measures of elimination." And with that the screen went dead, the boy bleeding on the ground secondary in the thoughts of the Shadow Operative who now had to consider where he stood in the midst of this Tournament after his first match. Apparently this was some sort of a fighting Tournament where only the winner could advance, and in addition to the members of the Investigation Team and his own allies from the Shadow Ops in the midst, there were also members of at least the Black Messiahs as well. He couldn't rule out that all of this was the work of Seta's Shadow, but then, why send out his lambs to the slaughter? Wasn't this a bit too messy for him? ...The masochist's desire to stay silent kept him from learning what he knew about it, if anything, and that was suspicious...but what would a low-level punk like him really know, anyway? No matter how he thought about it, the only way to learn more was to go along with this little charade a while longer until he could find that bear. Still, that didn't mean he had to play by the rules, right?
"I'm not going to just stand around and wait for the next challenge to come to me. I'm going on ahead. And you...don't get in my way again, or next time I won't let you off this easy," his words were stern, but his determination was set...cape fluttering behind him, he left the Messiah to mend on his own and flew through the door with no barrier to block his path. Out into the corridors, winding through the invisible blocks in the path, Akihiko set out in search of another opponent. Victory was his for this round, but he had a long way to go before he could uncover the real mysteries of this place.Quote: Winner! "The Two-Fisted Protein Junkie" Akihiko Sanada!

Karu Raiku, Investigation Team's Newest Introvert. Karu looked about there area seemed a bit empty. Seemed like there was some sort of a fight that had already taken place He wasn't exactly in the mood to try to fight some random person again, but that sort of was the point of this tournament they had gotten brought into. So he didn't exactly have much of a choice in the fighting, he wasn't going to to just throw in the towel. If he had to fight he was going to go all out even if it was an ally. It wouldn't look too good if he had to go up against someone from his team like Faust and he just laid down and let him get stomped. " So what's up, i gotta just fight someone... Alright sounds simple enough I guess" Karu watched around himself so no one would be getting the drop on him. Last thing he'd want was someone getting in a free hit on him because he wasn't paying attention.

Sawyer the Messiahs Devote Chainsaw User "You Again!" a high pitched voice called out, full of anger and disdain, the signature sound of a chainsaw revving up quickly followed the small girl's shout. Sawyer ran forward to the familiar brown haired boy, she remember her getting taken down by him before. Luckily she was much stronger compared to their first encounter. Plus this time she had actual armor other equipment to assist her this time. "I'll get you this time you punk! I won't let you get away with the first time you fought me!" She revved the chainsword getting ready for the fight. She was angry but was keeping back herself from just charging straight forward. She was slowly learning self control during fights so it wasn't as easy to be caught off guard. After all she needed to become a good guardian for her master and if she just flipped s**t the second a fight started and when she was angry it was more like fighting a bull at times rather than a shadow powered loli.

Karu Raiku, Investigation Team's Newest Introvert. "Damnit... You again? Are you bloody following me to fights or some crap like that" Karu let out an aggravated sigh seeing the face of his previous enemy from the night he first started learning about his powers and now she was back probably for revenge from that night. Things were going to be a lot more tense than he expected, it probably would have been nicer if he wasn't pitted up against someone with a personal vendetta against him. Giving his neck a quick pop he readied himself for another taxing fight since he already had some sort of idea what this girl was like in a one on one battle. Had to try his best to keep the fight limiting injuries to a minimum. " You know what... Let's just get this over with." Karu really didn't want to fight the pint sized Messiah brat again so he already planned on just going all out with his magic and with how she fought normally if he was lucky her blind anger would make things easier for him. With a quick motion the brown haired senior called up his persona to fire the heavy beam of almighty energy at his enemy. Might as well start of hard for this fight, knowing the Messiah would end up doing much of the same. Quote: Karu Actions: Master Spark- Deal High Almighty Damage to a Single Target

Sawyer the Messiahs Devote Chainsaw User "Shaddup you idiot!" Sawyer yell back at Karu charging at the Investigation Team member who was quickly becoming her nemesis. Although if she had the chance all of the enemies of Shadow Souji would be felled by her chain blade. Luckily she almost instantly recognized the actions of Karu from her first fight with him. Quickly crossing her arms, she did the best she could to block the force of the beam of almighty magic. Although it seemed sort of pointless enough since she could fully take up a defensive stance before she was hit with the attack. Tumbling to the ground the messiah quickly got back on her feet dashing forward at a rather shockingly fast pace for someone that just ate Karu's master spark. "Just... DIE!" She was going to cut him down to her level if need be, sure would make his escape and fighting harder if he suddenly lost his legs. Quote: Actions: Basic Attack...
