~::Mayonaka Arena - P1-Grand Prix::~
Yasogami High(?) (Music Room) - Inside the TV

User Image

A strange replica of the Yasogami High School campus inside the television, travel throughout the school is much more difficult due to invisible barriers preventing easy access to other areas of the school. Though it appears similar to the actual school on the outside, running through the hallways can seem to go on forever, and just when it seems as though you're on the right track, the invisible walls block your path and redirect you to wherever the person holding the tournament wishes you to go. And all throughout the building there is a pervasive air of danger, a heavy feeling not unlike the television world's fog or the atmosphere in the Dark Hour. Innocent it may look, but dangerous it most certainly is...and with monitors and a PA system lining nearly every nook and cranny of the school, it's clear that somebody not only wants to see what's going on throughout the event...but they want everyone else to know that they are watching, too. Why? Because the ongoing event at the school is the P1-Grand Prix! A desperate fighting program pitting friend against friend in combat until the one true champion is revealed! Who is behind it and why they put together such an elaborate event is the mystery everyone is trying to solve...but only one person can reach the summit and discover the truth! It's Investigation Team versus Investigation Team, but they're not the only ones inside the TV...the only question is, which one will still be standing when it's over?!

...

This battleground is located in the Music Room of the School; monitors and various instruments line the walls, and strange, shadow-like creatures peer into the windows of the area as though they were an audience. They feel like shadows, but what they truly are is unknown...could they be shadows? Shades? Wraiths? Something more?

Win your battle and you may find out, but only the winner can move on!
Will you be the victor?

Rednal

"This is the... music room? Do I even like music?" Rednal asked, apparently a bit vague even to himself on the subject. That might not have been surprising, though. Given the choice, he'd usually be found up on the rooftops or out on a lawn somewhere, enjoying the sunshine (provided it wasn't TOO hot, of course... but then he'd just go under a tree instead, so whatever). The music room, though? Probably not his first choice for basically anything that was going to happen at school. Drama, maybe. Him and Yuno, being zombies. Good stuff. It was a bit disturbing being separated from everyone else, though. "Yo, Ted. Gimme some directions?" he asked, vaguely remembering that their stuffed shadow companion was supposed to be at least decent at the support role. Assuming anyone could hear him at all, of course. Well, this was the TV World, so it probably wouldn't be a problem if he just bashed through a few walls until he found something interesting. If that was possible, of course. Yay for subtlety!

The Henpecked, Man-Hating Husband, Faustus Necromonium. And Rainbow
Faust slowly opened his eyes as he hit the ground of the TV, finding himself in....
"The Music Room? Faust called out, looking around. Somehow...they must have been separated. The oppressive atmosphere ensured him of one thing though...
"This is definitely the Television....or Babel.." He called to himself, sliding out his fold-up Chakram. As he did, a small television dropped down, hanging low.

"Goooooood Afternoon, everyone. It's time for the P-1 Grand Prix to officially begin." a familiar voice called out, Teddie with a strange hat popping up on the screen.
"Teddie!" Faust snapped, turning. "What are you doing here? Where is this? Why did.."
"Ah Ah Ah, too many questions." Teddie's voice called out, waving his staff. "We don't want to bore our viewers. Simply Win your fight, and move on. You'll only be able to prove your Manliness through this. Or Femininity. Whatever it is you want."
Faust rolled his eyes at this, before the Television moved downward, a small fog erupting....And a sparkling figure emerging from it.
"Oh? You're my first opponent?" Rainbow called, waving his hands. "How strange...I much rather preferred you when your hair was long."
Faust tensed a bit, cringing as he recognized the figure. The..strange one with the unicorn that used to bother him. However...
"If you're in here..." Faust called, gripping his chakram tightly. "Then that means.."

"Bingo." Rainbow replied, before a sudden air seemed to move over between the two. "After all......You try to act all high and mighty...But you're afraid of fighting. You're afraid of losing. Ever since Tia got killed by that green haired psycho..."
Faust flinched at this, stepping back.
"How....How do you know about that?"

"You're afraid of losing. Just like you lost Eoria too." Rainbow's voice called, a pool of darkness coming to him. "You lose so much, but try to not let it show. You're just so afraid of losing that you don't want to fight.... You're so deep in the Hero business that you can't bear the thought of trying to back out. The pressure just feels like too much. You just want to.."
"Shut up!" Faust snapped, starting forward. "I'll show you how strong I am, by grinding your face in the dirt!"
Rainbow merely chuckled, before starting to glow, and starting towards Faust as well.
"As you wish, coward.

Amelia M. Heartilly

Amelia looked about, holding her rapier close with her brows furrowing. ... This ... The last time she remembers coming into this world, they were in some sort of studio before. And now? She looked about and suddenly sighed with some frustration, noticing instantly that it was just her and Rednal now. Oh, wonderful day. Amelia looked down and saw the piano in front of her, tracing her fingertips against the keys of the piano, giving off a sigh before she finally decided to look over towards the silver haired classmate. "So, looks like it's you and me." she said, going over towards the middle of the room and continued to look around. It was so unsettling, too, with the white eyes of classic composers staring down at them both and watching. Like they were waiting for something.

User Image"Joy." she heard Rednal answer. Amelia rolled her eyes some then went over towards the door. She grabbed onto the handle and tried to slide it open, only to have her fingers straining when it refused. Amelia frowned, trying as hard as she could then 'tsk'd and stepped back, crossing her arms. She kicked at the door then tried to open it again, only to feel a somewhat odd wall pushing her back and keeping her inside. She gave a displeased sound then threw her arms up before pacing away. "Well that didn't help! We're locked in, so what are we going to do now?" Not like he was helping, just doing his own thing. Finally she heard him answer her.

"At least you were a big help when Genji was in trouble," he suddenly said. "And fought Miss Koroko's Shade. Oh WAIT!"

Amelia paused when she heard this, furrowing her brows with some confusion then turned to look over at him. "The hell, where did that come User Imagefrom all of a sudden? Don't be getting pissed at me just because we're both stuck here." Amelia stared at Rednal, the young boy still looking casually bored as usual as she crossed her arms. What's his deal? Rednal looked about the place, shrugging his shoulders in a somewhat aloof manner as he started to take slow steps about the place.

"Hm? Oh, was just remember a little something!" he said, then suddenly smiled at her. "Like how much you were being a bit of a wimp being all 'Oh nooo... My friiieeend... I can't...hurt youuuu'~!" Rednal rolled his head back and then chuckled a little. "It's not a big deal, though, since I was able to do most of the work for you."

Amelia could not believe what she heard. She knows that Rednal can be a bit of an idiot in ...socializing, but this was a bit much. She was feeling herself getting a little riled, keeping her arms crossed and trying to keep her cool. "I'm sorry, but why are you being an a*****e?"

Rednal pointed to her suddenly, dramatically. "Don't insult me when I was the one trying to protect you! And you were too busy curling up and shaking like a leaf when your own shade came around." Rednal put his hand down. He shrugged once more, continuing to take it like it was just a normal sort of talk. "I don't know why you were making such a big deal and crying in a corner. But I guess that's what happens when you haven't even met your own shadow yet. You took a short cut."

Amelia yelled, "I DIDN'T ASK FOR IT--" then suddenly stopped herself and kept quiet, trying to bring herself back from anger. She ran a hand through her hair, suddenly laughing a bit then frowned again, putting her hand down. "I wasn't crying." This was getting stupid. Why is he getting her riled up like this all of a sudden!?

"Sure." Rednal answered simply with another casual shrug, a smile planted on his face.

A fire sparked once more, Amelia clenching her teeth. "I wasn't crying!!"

"Quit yelling, it's not going to get you anywhere. You think that you're better than everyone and full of yourself with your power and money, but really? You can't deny that you're a damsel, still, ready to call a hero's name. You need help."

Damsel. That word cut through her like she wouldn't believe. The girl seethed, her blood beginning to boil as she stared and that smug face that he held. So damn full of himself and telling her that she needs help?! "I'm NOT a damsel!"

Rednal grinned. "No?" He asked. He then reached for the weapon he concealed, tilting his head. Suddenly a mass of hair came about and a familiar form of his Persona was revealed, standing behind him. "Prove it."

Amelia was taken back by the challenge and seeing the Persona summoned before her, her anger continuing to spark and boil with her hand tightening onto the handle of her rapier. She is not a damsel, she was not crying when she saw the ominous claw of her own shade. But, still, she tried to control herself. "I'm not...Fighting you."

Rednal twirled his weapon. "No? Okay, then next time just stay back and let me figure everything out. Just... stand there and look pretty or something."

...

A sudden shatter echoed across the room, a woman of gold armor appearing behind an enraged Amelia with violet eyes glaring down on the boy as threatening blue lightning cracked and sparked all around her. Her teeth were clenched and her weapon held tightly, readying herself now. It was then a TV monitor showed up from above, the screen flashing and showing the photogenic face of Rise Kujikawa.

"Wow! Sparks are flying and the stage is heating up! Who will be the victor between the two grudging investigators? I certainly can't wait to see the outcome! Will the Intolerable Lolicon Zombie dominate and be the victor?! Or will the Hysterical High-Life Harlot be the one to set him straight and know his place?! Let's hurry and get everything underway for Round 1!"

Rednal

"..." Rednal's eyes narrowed, just slightly, as Amelia began talking.

"Just... stop talking. I already know everything you're going to say, and there's nothing you can ever do to make a situation like this better. You know, it's always sort of pissed me off that you're part of this team. You go around throwing yourself into everything even when you aren't wanted, and then you always try and tell us what you think we should be doing. But I suppose that being a shield for me is the only thing you're good for." The girl reached back and brushed a hand through her hair to flick it over her shoulder and out of the way. "I just wanted to let you know that you are a piece of trash, and you should be happy that I talk to you at all. I have other friends, good friends, and they're way better for my life than any of you. You're nothing but a sad, broken country bumpkin, so don't try to drag me down to your level. I actually have a life, and I don't need you staining it with all the crap you spout."

"Amelia, you're probably bei-"

"But you know who I really hate? That stuck-up slut you call your girlfriend. I mean, she just makes a cute noise and you're all over her? I've never seen anything more pathetic than the way you two fawn all over each other."

"...That's enough." Rednal hissed, his fists tightening as power surged through his gauntlet. "You can insult me... as much as you like... but don't ever say a freaking word about my friends! AND ESPECIALLY NOT ABOUT ASELIA!" The orange gems that decorated his Reaper-gained weapon flashed brilliantly bright as the power finished gathering within his hand. "I have no idea what's wrong with you here, but if you're looking for a fight, then fine! I'm sick and tired of the way you're always acting like you're the only one in the world who matters. Hysterical Harlot is right, and we don't need anyone as selfish as you putting others at risk because you're too self-centered to pull your own weight! All you really need to do in combat is just... stand there and look pretty or something. It'd be a heck of a lot more useful than you are right now." Yidhra appeared in the air behind him as he flicked out his weapon and pointed it at Amelia. "And for all your talk, you've never been as strong as me. I'm not scared of your Shade, and I'm sure as heck not scared of you." He grinned slightly as her Persona appeared behind her. "You know, I've always wanted a chance to do this."

Amelia M. Heartilly

The girl exhaled, her eyes narrowing as lightning continued to flower through her Persona. The girl was not enjoying this... But with how Rednal was looking, it felt like she had no choice. The lightning sparked once more and soon she lifted the rapier in front of her, three of her fingers touching the side of the blade then sliding across it and taping into the supernatural magic she holds. Her fingers slid across the blade and soon lightning was charged and sparking through its very edges. Her eyes were staring at the end of the gun that was pointed at her, bullets being a little something that she is not going to enjoy enduring. How is she going to avoid it? The girl flicked her blade over towards him, lightning cracking at the ends of it, taking her fighting stance. She was still hesitant, though, all the while feeling that this wasn't right. Round 1, like some sort of fighting game, and Rise going about like she was an announcer. They were trapped in here for this? Thoughts were rushing through... What got into Rednal all of a sudden?! Were they really going to waste time fighting each other? Or has he really been itching for a fight against her all this time? "Last chance to back off, Rednal. I mean it."

"Please don't tell me you're too chivalrous to hit a girl. That'll make this too easy."

At this point, though, it was sort of doubtful that anything the girl said was going to be able to get through him... and, really, any insults were probably just going to bounce off, since he'd pretty much decided to just ignore anything she had to say, whether it was further mocking, pleading for him to stop, or anything else that might come out of that big mouth of hers. The kind of girl who'll treat the people who help her like crap... yeah, sounds like Amelia to me. What came out of the barrel of his gun wasn't anything as simple as a bullet, though. Rather, to save the wear on his throat, he'd quietly been practicing casting his magic through the gun. It didn't seem to have any actual effect on the spells themselves, but it was suitable enough for what he was trying to do. As with most of his spells, a powerful burst of light and heat erupted out of the end of his weapon, rocketing straight towards Amelia with a fair portion of the power he could cram into it. Let her play around with charging stuff onto her weapon if she wanted; he had the much more simple and straightforward plan of blowing the crap out of her. With absolutely nothing enhancing it, this particular spell was still on the powerful end... with all the enhancements he'd learned, though, the spell was about double its normal strength... and there was a Mind Charge on top of that to significantly enhance its power.

In other words, it was a very Rednal-y attack. Straightforward, overcharged, and with no nonsense at all. About the only thing it wasn't was his best.

"You fell in nothing flat to Minori's Shade, but I held up right to the end. You really think you can beat me when you'll give up so easily even when you're fighting for her? I guess that says a lot about how much you care for any of us, though. Seriously, we're better off without you."

Amelia M. Heartilly

At first she thought that maybe he was going to get to his senses, think that maybe it was best to just drop everything and get back to business. But, much to her surprise, the silver-haired boy pulled the trigger and a powerful burst of his spell charging right towards her, violet eyes widening and her legs already sprinting to the side and try to avoid it. But the blast was way too close, the attack burning and destroying the instruments behind her and the girl already feeling the searing pain on her back. After all that, she wasn't able to hear the insults that came at her from the boy that was going overkill. Wind was lost from her lungs and she crashed into one of the drums, her Persona already enraged and burning with blue electricity to send out a rain of lightning crashing down onto the Nuclear user. He's serious about this! Amelia grunted and tried to quickly get herself back onto her feet and moved away from the drums that she crashed onto, trying to regain her composure and to try and ignore the burns that went against her back. It was better than dealing the that bullet actually hitting her, but the blast still did some damage. "Are you trying to kill me?!" What happened to him?! That last move it felt as if he was ready to burn a hole right through her stomach, almost as if he has forgotten that she is still human! Well, now she knew that she can't hold back on him, she can't bring herself to back down and go easy on him. Not after that.

"Come on, my boyfriend can hit harder than that!" the girl called, raising her hand and sending a powerful stream of electricity crashing into Rednal. As with how high-level spells tended to be, it hurt, forcing jagged bits of lightning to carve through his guard (such as it was) and rip into his flesh. He wasn't a stranger to pain, though. That had been true all his life, but especially since he'd joined the Investigation Team, choosing to walk on the front lines of battle to protect his friends. There was no doubt that Amelia's spell was pretty powerful, too, and that given long enough she could probably bring him down. Of course, he had absolutely no intention of giving her that time, and power surged through his body as he fought past the pain and began moving towards the girl.

This was, perhaps, the difference between them. Amelia had never quite pursued strength with the same single-mindedness that other members of the Investigation Team had. "You really shouldn't be bragging at a time like this." Rednal said quietly as more and more energy flowed through his body. "Or maybe you just forgot what my magic's capable of. If that's the case, then let me remind you."

The Henpecked, Man-Hating Husband, Faustus Necromonium. And Rainbow
A time later, Faust crushed his persona card one last time, Mythos calling forth a Giant Fist that crashed into the tired, bright figure, and knocked him off to the ground. In moments, Faust's foot pinned the figure down, with a scowl.
"Are you done?" Faust called out sourly, as the brilliant white seemed to fade away from Rainbow, leaving him back in his normal form.

"Yes, Okay? I'm ******** done." the voice called, his trademark smirk having been replaced with a deep, pained scowl. "It isn't bad enough you have to pick me apart entirely, then completely crush me in battle, and then have the Audacity to ask if i'm done, when I've BEEN done the past few minutes."
Faust paused at this, hit foot laxing as he stood off of the figure.
"You..what?" he called, before leaning forward. "Hey, don't you act all high and mighty like you weren't digging into me about all that crap about me being weak."

"Oh yes, you're just so weak." Rainbow called on the ground, venomusly. "That's why you just totally beat the s**t out of me. Why would I say something like that when you've obviously been at this longer?"
Faust didn't have an answer for that, flinching. Did...he mean that, or was he just screwing with him.
"What about that stuff you said about Tia?" Faust snapped, the silver haired boy tilting his head.

"Tia? Who the Hell is Tia?" he called, tilting his head. However, before the questions could continue, a television drifted down, and a familiar figure appeared on the screen.
"Oh Myyyy. It looks like this was a match with a rather quick finish!" General Teddie called, grinning a large grin. "I didn't know you had that in you, Faust. Who knew you could beat someone senseless like a REAL Man?
Faust scowled at this, sliding his chakram back.
"Shut up Teddie." Faust snapped, feeling a bit tense, but thinking all the same. Teddie wouldn't be that harsh to him...He wouldn't. And the way Rainbow didn't react to the name Tia.....
Perhaps there's... he thought, before the sound of the bear clearing his throat called out.

"In the meantime, Fausty-chan. As the Victor of the match, you can advance to the next round. Don't dissapoint everyone now. Show Em All how MANLY you are."
"Yeah...Do me a favor, and just GO." Rainbow's voice called from the ground, scowling deeply. "I'm sick of your face. Leave."
Faust paused at this, watching as the television moved out of the way, leaving him alone with Rainbow. The fabulous junior didn't seem to want to talk anymore, so Faust was left no choice but to move on.
There's so many things going on.. he thought quietly as he moved, leaving the area. I hope the others are safe.

Amelia M. Heartilly

Amelia exhaled some, rubbing at her shoulder and giving out a grunt when she managed to recover. She whipped her sword then looked over towards Rednal to see that he managed to take some pain from the lightning that crashed on him. But it looked like he still managed to move forward. Well that was like him, never knowing when to quit despite the situation. Course she wasn't going to enjoy what was to come when she saw the power surging through him again. Another Mind Charge.

"What happened to proving it?" Rednal asked quietly as more energy continued to flow, Amelia's Persona suddenly tipping over the piano on its side. "Are you accepting your place under me?"

The girl tried to ignore him, feeling herself growing frustrated over this, going behind the piano and pressing her back against it. "Caution does not equal stupidity, my god." she breathed out. Fulgora was sneering over towards Yidhra before going towards her user and guarded Amelia, the Persona using itself as a shield behind the piano.

Rednal

The girl said something else, snappy and arrogant as always, even as she dove behind cover like the coward she was. Of course, a piano wasn't exactly very good cover, when you thought about it, and the boy vaulted onto the large instrument's top as even more power surged into his body and, slowly, his wounds continued to heal. There was, of course, a point in which guarding was going to have some rather diminishing returns, especially considering the way Rednal's power kept going higher and higher. Unlike teammates such as Minori, who were capable of acting in a variety of categories, Rednal wasn't actually that diverse in his skills... it was a weakness, when flexibility was needed, but it was also a strength... because you needed a certain amount of offensive power to actually win a fight. Being a magical sort of tank was pretty much his role as part of the group, and he'd left supporting things to others so that he could concentrate on hurting the enemy while others, in turn, made sure their own team didn't fall. Each piece was useful on its own, but as time and time again had proven, it was only together that they were truly strong. However, that wasn't to say he didn't know any supporting magic at all... as a matter of fact, he did. He was simply too busy blasting the enemy most of the time to bother with casting it, but Amelia's guarding had given him the opening he needed to cast the magic that would raise his offensive power to its highest possible level. "I think it's about time to put an end to this little farce." Rednal said, pulling back the hammer on Regulus as he aimed it squarely in the center of Amelia's torso.

Amelia curled up and readied herself for the big boom. But it never came, not a single blast was given. She opened her eyes when she heard the thump on top of the edge of the piano, turning to look up and see that he was still charging up his magic and strength. Why..? What for?! To make sure she goes down? "I guess in the end I win, miss damsel. Time to end this." the hammer on the gun was pulled back and Amelia's eyes widened, a shock going through her and suddenly, without thinking, she launched another attack right through him. A spear of electric power at point blank surging through and sending him back and away from her. Amelia's heart was racing, her eyes still seeing the end of the gun that was pointed at her even though Rednal was already away from her. She let out a breath. Did that just happen?! Pointing a gun at her?! Each move he made was surprising her every time.

"Why are you treating me like I'm a shadow?!" She yelled, still behind the piano. "I know we had some serious issues but I didn't think that you'd want to freaking beat me to death! This isn't like you, or is it really!?" She placed her back against the lopsided piano, putting a hand on her chest as she tried to calm herself. She opened her eyes once more, remembering that she just electrocuted the boy at point blank. "...s**t." Amelia suddenly stood up then went over to check up on him. "Are you ok?! Can we stop now?!"

Rednal

As the flickering of the lightning faded, a black aura erupted around Rednal, clearing the space around him of debris as he recovered his senses after the mighty blow Amelia had hit him with. Blood poured out from an ugly wound on his chest, almost hiding his old scars from the damage dealt. But that wasn't enough to bring him down... and he raised his weapon while Yidhra's bizzare hair-mouths thrashed wildly, clearly wanting to rip massive chunks out of Amelia's flesh. They'd settle for what he had planned, though, and Yidhra reached down to put her hand on Rednal's, giving him emotional as well as magical support. Without even the slightest bit of hesitation, Rednal pulled the trigger on his friend. What came out of Regulus' barrel was more-or-less the single most powerful blast he could possibly unleash, the culmination of every last scrap of his energy and technique poured into one devastating blow, a mixture of blinding light, scorching heat, and godly magic all fused together. It was the spell Rednal had learned by defeating his Shade, and his conquered darkness had become his weapon. A weapon now unleashed on the stupid, self-centered, big-mouthed Harlot who just never shut up when she was supposed to! "Do you see the difference between us yet?" He asked coldly, pulling back the hammer on Regulus again. "For all your talk, you've never been in the same league as me when it comes to magic." There was no amusement in his gaze... nor the slightest bit of mercy. Rednal rarely suffered from little emotional things like freaking out over attacking his friends. He'd long since made the choice to make the hard decisions, when somebody had to. If that meant beating his friends unconscious when he thought that was for the best, then he'd do it, and never regret it. Not because he didn't care, though... it was because he did care about his friends. He cared enough to charge headlong into danger against terrifyingly powerful foes, simply because they asked him to. He cared enough to jump into the line of fire to protect them, to personally piss off their enemies so attacks would be focused on him, and to do whatever was necessary to help them all, however deadly that might turn out to be. That was why he didn't hesitate, and that was why he didn't regret. He simply cared about all of his friends on the team too much to give them any less than his best.

For now, though, he had no idea if this was possession, some kind of illusion, or what. On the chance that was really Amelia's body, he'd hold back enough to avoid killing her... but that was all he was intending to give.

Amelia M. Heartilly

Amelia cringed when she saw the damage she gave Rednal when she caught him in sight, coming closer to see if he was alright and much to her relief she saw him stirring. The blood was awful, seeing it burn slightly after her own attack and she stepped closer. "Alright I can--" She stopped herself, Amelia soon seeing the persona around Rednal becoming violent and going in a sort of odd frenzy, her eyes looking down at Rednal only to see his weapon aimed at her once more. A breath was sucked into her and suddenly Fulgora stood in front of her right when the trigger was pulled. A merciless blow of Nuclear magic erupted under the two, the pain so horrid and indescribable that Amelia couldn't even scream as it flowed across her body. The after-burn was the worst, the searing pain still lingering when the light faded and she fell to her knees along with Fulgora, Amelia's head lowered down to her knees as she shook from the pain. Why? Amelia coughed out and whimpered, shoulders covered with burns as they shuddered. Is he possessed? Or is this a fake?

She couldn't tell which it is but she knows..."This is not you, Rednal. The..." she coughed out, clenching her fingers when the burns continued to torment her. "The one who preaches about.. protecting his friends?" What was she going to do? There was no doubt in her mind that the next blow that hits her is going to finish her off. She is struggling now, and she only had one last trick up her sleeve.

"Sorry." she simply said, then coughed out more, a chilling fog of ice leaking from her lips when suddenly a blow of a frigid escaped her. It turned into a sudden, powerful blast of a blizzard mixed with treacherous darkness crashing onto Rednal to surround and consume, wanting to take the last bit of stubborn energy he had for the sake of ending this whole thing. Amelia coughed violently, holding onto her throat and soon hoped that she will be able to hold out a little longer to try to recover.
