Crown yawned and stretched, slowly opening his eyes to look at Kryan. They had been travelling for a little while together now, and Crown had to admit that it felt really natural, far more so than he had expected.... there weren't many awkward silences or fumbling breaths, just two stallions who enjoyed each other's company getting on with one another and trying to complete the others life by being there for him. "Morning." He said, leaning over and kissing Kryan's cheek. Even this brief contact had become 'natural' to him now.
Kyran smiles, waking up, not sure when he had fallen asleep but he yawned as he woke, then sighed contentidly. "mmmm." Enjoying the cooler weather today, there was a soft wind and it wasn't as hot. All things that made him much more comfortable and happy in his fluff. Turning his head and kissing Crown's cheek back. "Morning."
Crown smiled and stretched his wings a little before standing up, his eyes lazily wandering over his companion before.... he froze. "Kyran...." His voice broke. He blinked. What?! How? Where....? Confusion furrowed his brown. And unable to speak he found himself pointing with his wing at two baskets.....
"Hmmmm?" Looking round as he stands, distracted only to wake tight up, blinking at the 2 baskets that were just sitting there. Spinning around, looking to see who might have left them there. Realising what he was doing he looked at the ground, looking for his treasure. It was gone... Looking out over the view where there had been a rainbow after the small rain... Nah..... Coul it? Feeling very sheepish he moves up beside crown, pressing his nose to a basket, checking to see if it was warm or not. "Hey Crown, if you could have anything, anything at all what would you wish for?"
Crown continued to blink and stare at the baskets. At least until Kyran spoke and distracted him, he blinked a little absently and then shook his head softly to focus. "Eh.... well.... I...." He blushed softly and wasn't sure if he should or could tell Kyran what he would wish for, it sounded silly and selfish and he didn't want Kyran to feel as if there was something he couldn't give him, after all two stallions couldn't have children. "...." he fell silent and blushed brighter, he really couldn't bring himself to say it.
What he was thinking was insane, baskets didn't come from rainbows, but the more he looked the more the basket by his nose reminded him of Crown. "This one reminds me of you." Murmering softly, looking back over to Crown, movign close and nuzzling him softly. "Please tell me? I love you, I don't want to feel you can't open up to me."

Crown continued to blink and stare at the baskets. At least until Kyran spoke and distracted him, he blinked a little absently and then shook his head softly to focus. "Eh.... well.... I...." He blushed softly and wasn't sure if he should or could tell Kyran what he would wish for, it sounded silly and selfish and he didn't want Kyran to feel as if there was something he couldn't give him, after all two stallions couldn't have children. "...." he fell silent and blushed brighter, he really couldn't bring himself to say it.

Crown looked at the basket and listened to Kyran's words. A little defeated he sighed. "For the impossible. To have a child... half you... half me." His blush continued to burn bright on his cheeks.
Kyran blushed under his much fluff... So thats it, he had never expected this when he had made a wish, but then he wanted Crown to be happy, so he smiled. "Maybe some days you get to have what you want the most, even if its not exactly what you might have expected."
Crown frowned a little, not really understanding what was going on. "What do you mean?" It was impossible for two stallions to have babies.... right? All the wishing in the world didn't mean it could happen.
Kyran shuffles, looking sheepish and a little uncomfortable. "Well..... I kind of made a wish.... on a rainbow.... it just seemed special somehow... And yeah... I know it was silly, but you were asleep and it didn't seem to be any harm in making a wish... I men how often do they come true??" He was babbling and he knew it.

Crown blinked in surprise. "You wished for baskets?" It somehow made Crown feel better that it wasn't just him, as if he hadn't somehow just betrayed his partner with his misplaced thoughts. Returning his gaze to the baskets he commented softly, "Do you think... they belong to us? I mean.... you and me....?"

"Ah....." He said, wondering what he should feel right now, he got his wish... but was it what Kyran wanted? He had always heard how children changed everything..... and it wasn't fair to suddenly spring something like this on them... then again, it wasn't if either of them had expected this, Crown himself had never believed he would ever have children....!?
He didn't say anything for a while, but eventually said... "Trinket? What trinket?"
Kyran sighed, this was not what he had imagined, but he had had a wish granted and through him Crown, or so it seemed. Dispite everything he was happy under the embarrassment. "I made you a presant, a way to show that I'm comitted to us... to you... I was going to tell you that and that I loved you when I gave it to you.... But when I made my wish I offered it up to the rainbow as it was the most precious thing I had other than you." Pressing his nose to the oter basket, not sure why but worried that they might be cold, they hadn't made a peep while the two stallions talked.
That I love you..... Kyran Loved him? It took a moment to digest those words, but a big doopy grin spread across his features, and without seeing a need to think about it he said softly, "I love you too. I... well I don't think things or gifts to prove it. Just you...." Still his eyes wandered to the baskets, and he noticed how Kyran suddenly looked concerned about the baskets, he frowned softly not really understanding them. "...and them. Are... what do we do now?"
Kyran looked up and gave Crown a loving smile. "I guess we should look around for some parents, but other than that I don't know what to do." Looking back to the first basket feeling silly again as he looked at the one that reminded him of Crown. "What if they are ours and whatever left thme takes them back thinking they aren't wanted?" Ducking his head, blushing badly, feeling so silly for saying that, even if it was a barely audable mumble.

Crown frowned at the idea of looking for parents.... why didn't that seem right. "I.... I dunno... but I, feel like they are ours." He blushed, it was a silly thought, he knew that, but it didn't stop they way he felt. "Sorry, I know that sounds silly.... but.... well...." He looked at the basket again, "...I just think... well, they remind me of.... somehow." Yeah, ok, so he had lost it. But there didn't seem to be any footprints other than theirs around.... so how else would they have appeared?
Kyran nods, that not seeming weird to him. "Well if they have parents that want them they wouldn't have been left.... But then maybe some will turn up looking for them.... But... I dont know, I think your right even though it makes no sense..." Shaking his head not able to explain it. "I stil say this one reminds me of you."
He smiled softly and nodded. Deciding to sit down and copy the only mare he had ever seen with baskets. "I think... we need to protect them from the elements?" There was a soft breeze but nothing too much, was he being overprotective? Wow, it just occured to him that he really did seem protective of these baskets, as if part of him just knew they were theirs, no matter how strange and odd that sounded.
Kyran couldn't help grinning at the image of Crown being all motherly. "I'll go and find something for them to eat... Maybe drink too... need something to carry water with...." Starting to murmer to himself as he trned to go and find the things they needed to care for the baskets.
Part of Crown wanted to say 'don't leave me', even for a moment, what is the 'real' parents came back? What if they tried to take the baskets away from him.... Crown wasn't sure he could let them, let alone survive the heartache of losing them. Strange, a moment ago he hadn't accepted them so strongely, yet now, sitting next to them, able to scent them, he could tell there was something special about them, an untold magic wriggling through them.
Instead of saying any of that though he nodded, "Ok."
Kyran wasn't gone long, there was plenty to eat around at this time of year, bringing the food back when he had gathered as much as he could carry, setting it down next to Crown and the baskets. "I need to find something to bring water with.... or do they need milk?" Looking at the fruit he had brought frowning, not having seen a foal raised since he was one himself and those memories were fuzzy at best.

Crown started to worry. Milk? Didn't moves usually feed their young? How could they do that.... oh no! This was a mess! "I don't know.... I.... think they can handle water and fruit juices, we will just have to watch them and get help if needs be?" He wasn't sure, but he patted the ground next to him, asking Kyran silently to join him, to take a moment to rest. "They usually take a week to open.... so.... maybe we should just.... breath? For a moment at least?"
Kyran sank down onto the cool shaded crass, the heat bothering him from all his moving about, not having found any sign of anyone else in the immediate area and no hoofprints, then again there was no telling what was in there, could be bably bunnies for all he knew.... ok Giant baby bunnies... maybe.. Resting his head down, watching Crown and the baskets, smiling to himself.
Crown found himself resting his head on one of the baskets, bringing his wing around to hold them both close. For a moment he was lost in thought, a light blush covered his features as he looked up at Kyran. "Oh... sorry." Ok, so he had a soft spot for children, and since he had never expected to have any, the thought that he might get to keep these two with Kyran was more than he could hope for. "Can we keep them?" He asked softly, knowing that if someone came looking for them his question became null and void.
Kyran smiled again, not able to help himself, Crown was being so cute. "I think thats a good idea. I looked around while I was getting food... There's no sign of anything having come anywhere near this place, so unless they were dropped from the sky I'd take a guess that no one left them there. Besides anyone that leaves a foal alone without thinking of its care doesn't deserve it."
Crown couldn't agree more, but all he did was nod and grin. "Thank you." He said after a moment of silence, wanting to say something, though words didn't really express how thankful he was that Kyran seemed to be accepting this so easily. He was warmed that Kyran had tried to make a wish for him, still he decided to tease him a little, wanting to hear those words he had planned to say directly to him rather than just as part of a story, especially since he had said he loved him now, even if he had added a 'too'. "So.... you were planning to tell me how you felt?" The warm smile on his lips and the sparkle in his eyes showed just how honored he felt at the thought of that, "...when?" Crown couldn't squish his curiousity.
Kyran shuffled and looked embarrassed, lifting his head and looking to where the rainbow had been. "I was going t get you to walk on the beach with me tonight as the weather is nice again. I was going to give you the trinket and tell you that I love you then..." Ok so he wasn't giving himself points for imagination with that one but he hd wanted to try and make it special for Crown, so he would remember it.

Crown couldn't help but smile at how adorable Kyran was being, leaning over he rested his head on Kyran's shoulder for a moment. "Sounds romantic... I didn't know you had it in you." He chuckled teasingly, not at all mocking Kyran but rather liking the image those words stirred in his mind. Once more his eyes fell back onto the baskets. This trinket he would never see had been replaced by them.... what was inside? Would they like him? Would they bring him and Kyran closer together? Or would it possibly drive them further a part? He hoped with all his heart the latter was not the case.
"I guess our travelling will be on hold for a while... huh?" He chirped, turning to look into Kyran's purple eyes.
Kyran, finding he was feeling very light hearted and happy managed somehow to give a mornful sigh. "More time being roasted in fluff...." Snapping out of his teasing and looking at the baskets. "Do you think they would be like us? I mean really like us? What if they are fluffy like me? They will be cooking on those baskets." Having managed to partially convince himself that they baskets were for them, though they were being so quiet that it was worrying him a little.
Crown couldn't help but smile at that, even as he lifted up one of his wings and started to fan Kyran. "At least the sun is going down? They should cool down... you usually do." He said softly, "But yeah.... " He looked to the baskets, "...part of me is really hoping they do look like us. Even if it is just in small little ways, like the way they smile, the colour of their eyes, the colour on their pelt, the way their hair goes.... something."
Kyran nods and rests his head back down, smiling as Crown fans him. "I hope so too, would probably make us feel more like parents, still seems too far fetched and surreal at the moment still, like we are foalsitting , and other times I'm terrified that someone will turn up to take them." Ok yeah he sounded insane... m,aybe he was insane.... or hallusinating... Maybe everythign since the rainbow was a heat induced hallusination.
"Yeah... me too." He said softly, stuck somewhere between extreme joy and extreme fear. Still, with Kyran beside him, he was sure they could overcome everything and anything. "Oh man... I hope they are boys. Not sure I would know what to with them if they are girls." He blinked in surprise at the thought. They would likely turn out to be very tom-boyish.... nothing girly about them.
Kyran chuckles. "They will be whatever it is they will be, and hoping wont change that, all you can really do is make sure they are strong and healthy and teach them right from wrong and hope it takes." Shrugging.
Crown laughs. "I know. And despite my nerves... I will treasure them either way." He leaned forward and rested his head on one of them again. The markings and colours upon the baskets intreguied him, made him wonder what secrets were held within.
Kyran grins and leans over the other basket, kissing Crown softly. "Parenthood seems to suit you, I've not seen you so giddy before. I'm very happy to see you happy." Resting his head as lightly as he could on the nearest basket, snuggling it gently as he smiled happily at Crown.
