Bio: Texas's birth was no accident: it was an intentional part of a breeding program for several generations sponsored by a reclusive group of scientists known only as The Machinist Order. Texas was one of many who were born as part of this breeding process in order to create the ultimate weapons.
Texas was bred to be a powerful flame-based weapon that could be used in both close and medium ranged combat. After cross-breeding flamethrower weapons with swords, the Machinist Order finally got the result they were hoping for; a Weapon with the ability to take either form.
As soon as he could walk his training began. For 12 years he trained, honing his schools in service to The Machinist Order as they sought to turn him into the ultimate weapon alongside many other young weapons trained for different purposes.
Two things made Texas stand apart from the rest. The first was that he excelled. In every area The Machinist Order tested him in he rose near to the top. He was determined, intelligent and strong, a great success for the Machinists. The other thing was his individuality. Despite The Machinist Order's best attempts to get him to behave and conform, they could not take the "little boy" out of the little boy. He was who he was and was constantly getting into trouble, talking back and playing pranks. Although this aggravated the Order to no end, they turned a blind eye to much of it due to his excellent progress.
Eventually he was ready for his final test: The real world. He must go out into the world and join the DWMA. There he must learn how to take care of himself and fight in real combat. This would also serve as a test of the Order's breeding and training abilities and they will surely be watching him closely to see how he turns out.
Abilities:
+Immolate: Texas has the ability to ignite himself, covering himself in flames that will burn anyone around him that he is not currently resonating with. He can do this in human form and in both weapon forms. Unfortunately, Texas hasn't learned to control this ability fully yet and will occasionally burst into flames regardless of where he is or what he's doing for seemingly no reason.
+Cleansing Soul: Texas's soul is extremely large and bright. This makes him extremely easy to see for anyone with the ability to perceive souls. His shines like a beacon and it is virtually impossible to hide. However, the light of his soul resonance shines brightly enough to reveal if someone is using Soul Protect or any other similar abilities to hide/manipulate their souls. Texas is able to see their soul protect as a transparent shield and can see what lies beneath. This also functions as a kind of permanent Soul Sight and he can always see the souls of others without even needing to focus.
+Blast Shield: Flipping a notch on Texas's sword/gun changes the output of fire from offensive to defensive and the fire spreads out instead of forward creating a literal wall of fire between the meister and their enemy.
+Firewalking: Flames and smoke do not hurt/blind/choke Texas and the same applies for anyone he is both physically touching and resonating with.
+Phoenix Down: When mortally wounded or almost at the end of his strength, Texas goes into overdrive, causing most things around him to immolate and burn to ashes immediately; even rocks begin to melt. In this state his fire is a lot stronger and burns a crimson red. Even being close to him can cause excruciating pain to an enemy and he can't be crippled. However, after this ability wears off he is incapacitated until he receives medical attention.
Personality: Texas is still a young boy and immature. Since he's been sequestered most of his life he's often naive about the world in general. Despite this he is extremely friendly, curious and eager to learn. Sometimes he can be too trusting but he's always ready to back up his friends. Since he was raised in an all-male society, girls are almost like mythical creatures to him and he doesn't understand them at all. He often has a crush on a girl or two that he meets and as a result can be extremely shy around them.
Make no mistake though, Texas is tough. He was created through selective breeding and extreme training. In both human form and Weapon form he is extremely dangerous. His flames are searing hot and his body is strong. He can even be used to block attacks in his gun form (though it's not preferable). He knows all this and can sometimes be a little cocky, especially if he's trying to impress a crush.
