Marceline had been stumbling around for a while trying to find someone to protect in order to occupy her time, however, that had proved to be uneventful thus far. Her tail flicked behind her every now and then as she made her way down a brightly lit path that lied somewhere between the forest and the vast plains. Since coming to the Kawani Lands she had no real destination as she knew nothing of this new land or what all inhabited it. Although she seemed to hop from forest to forest, not staying long out in the open.
"Where shall I go today?" She asked with a sigh. Clearly the poor mare was bored out of her wits and her apathetic nature seemed to only make it worse today. Admittedly she longed for just a little company so long as whoever it was, wasn't a complete idiot. Sadly she had met a couple of those and the conversation didn't last long or if it did it was certainly one-sided. Once again though, Marceline was a little hard to get a long with. Not that she couldn't be friendly but it was just harder for her to get to that point.
Marceline halted in her steps as she looked down at the worn dirt path. In the direction she was going there were no fresh tracks and in fact it appeared that no one had ventured this way in quite a while. So wherever she was heading seemed to be just as lonely and boring as any other place she had been before. "Awesome." Marceline rolled her eyes and kicked her hoof into the dirt.

Finnegan James never really thought he would be traveling alone again ever since meeting his faithful companion, Reepicheep. But the ‘ol mouse had previous arrangements that only little mice like himself would understand. James, of course didn’t argue and let his friend go do whatever needed to be done and the two would meet up in a couple days. No problem at all, right? The young stallion snorted as he kicked at the earth and had stirred up some dust. No problem except that he was bored out of his mind. Literally. True, that Finnegan had traveled alone for some time before meeting Reepicheep, but things had changed ever since then. They shared excitement, adventure, and timeless journeys. But now there was nothing to do. No cry of help was carried on the breeze and no smell of fear. It was a dull, boring day. Beautiful yes, but very boring.
Lost in his own thought of what boring day it was, Finnegan didn’t realize that a mare stood only a few feet away from him. He blinked and paused as he looked to her. Tilting his head to the side as she kicked at the dirt. Was she lost? Was this a mission that he so desperately needed? A giddy chuckle escaped from his vocals as he trotted up alongside her. “Excuse me,” he said as he bowed his head. “But are you lost?” probably not the swiftest way to confront a stranger. But she did seem lost…not knowing what direction to take. There was a humble smile on his lips as he looked to the mare in hopes that his sudden confrontation wouldn’t shoo her away.
