Seliana has a gentle nature, and the dragons under her care love her unconditionally. She had watched the dragons for ages from her home in the heavens, before feeling a strong calling to visit the shrine of the great Aisling. When she arrived at the shrine, Aisling greeted her, and drew her inside. Lying in a bed of warm sand, in an alcove off to the side, was an egg. It was a beautiful shade of pink, and Seliana felt a gentle tug at her heart as she stood there looking at it. She asked Aisling why no one had chosen to be its guardian yet, and Aisling replied, "Because she has been waiting for you Seliana." This surprised her, for she was not aware that Aisling could speak with the dragons before they hatched. However, she could not deny that she felt connected to this beautiful egg. She agreed to guard the dragon inside, and she carried the egg back to her celestial home, and waited for it to hatch.
Weeks passed and eventually the young female inside the egg began to fight her way out of her captivity. As she slithered over the shards of her cage, she looked up at the being before her. She knew instinctively who she was, for hadn't she been calling to her since her beginnings? She picked her up and held her in her arms, running her hands down her wet scales. She told her her name was She'eSeliana cared for her, making sure she was fed, and keeping her scales oiled, so they would not dry out and begin itching. When she was old enough to be on her own, she took her back down to the world below, and together they searched out a suitable home for her. Seliana assured her that she would continue to watch over her, but she was free to do as she wished. However, if she was ever in need of her, all she had to do was call out her name.
Years passed by, and She'er matured into a wise dragon. She traveled the world over many times, searching out new and wonderful places and dragons. She eventually found herself on an isle she had never seen before, and there met one of the few elders in the world. She spent many months learning at his side, and when he had taught her all he knew, a deep sleep overtook her. When she finally awoke, she knew something spectacular had happened to her, as she began to move her stiff body, she realized her form had changed. Looking down the length of her body, she could see that she now too was one of the elder race. Did Seliana know? She looked around the isle for the elder she had studied with, but he was nowhere to be found. She took to the sky, excited to show her new body to her guardian.

When he matured, it was he who explained to her that he had chosen her, because her gift made it possible for her to determine when a female dragon was ready to mate, and what the sex of the offspring would be, while they were still in the egg. It was his desire to acquire a harem of females, and produce many offspring to carry on his legacy. She proved very beneficial in that role, and his harem grew.
