"Deedeedo, deedeedo..." Sadie sung lightly to herself as she played in the flowers. Her Mommy was with her sick brother and sister, and Daddy was off with some other stallions... and she was restless. She wanted to play with the other foals, the bigger ones not covered by these stupid blankets. Why did she even have to have this thing, anyway? Lightly, Sadie nibbled at the already frayed corner by her mouth. Mommy said it was for protection, that she wasn't yet strong enough for the elements and other such things. Sadie thought it was horse hocky.
"Heehee!" The little foal giggled and blushed, knowing she'd just thought a bad word. She'd heard Daddy say it a few times, and Mommy always scolded him for it. Still giggling to herself, she nuzzled into the patch of flowers she'd found and tried to hide herself in them even though Mommy was only a couple yards away.
