Uroko let out a sigh as he passe the boulder for the third time that day. How long had he been traveling in circles for? He felt that no matter what direction he went, he always ended up right back in the same place again. He knew it had been weeks since he had been informed and united with his long lost sister. Though he supposed she had never been lost, only carelessly forgotten. If it hadn't been for that prince of hers an a few gossiping servants she might never have been found. The stallion silently cursed his father for his carelessness. He understood why his father felt the way that he did. He blamed his own son for the death of his beloved mate, and couldn't bare to look upon his daughter, the exact likeness of his love. Yet no matter how much love he bore for their mother, it would never be a good enough excuse to leave one child locked with a tower and to pretend that the other didn't even exist. For a moment Uroko could feel his rage building within him again. Slowly, he breathe in deeply and then exhaled, calming himself in the process and slowing his heart rate. It wouldn't do for him to get upset now. His father had done what he had done and it was time to move on. After all, that was why Uroko had given up his duties as prince and left the kingdom. The further that he was from his father, the better he would feel. And yet, if he could not find his way, how was he supposed to go any farther? The stallion stomped his hoof into the ground in rage, sending up bits of dirt as it bit into the soft ground. He had to be missing something, there had to be a direction that he had not tried yet. Perhaps if he marked himself a trail? At least then he would know which directions he had gone. Determined to find a way out of the forest, Uroko bit into the bark of the tree nearest to him, leaving a trail so that he might know his path.

It was rare indeed, so quiet a day. Inoshishioni closed his eyes and basked in the peaceful stillness of the woods. It had taken him a few hours to find a place so secluded and mild. It was not that Inoshishioni disliked the company of others. There were few things that could be further from the truth, however interesting it might be to figure out what those things were. Ino adored a stimulating conversation, and it didn't even have to be betwixt peers. Anyone could be interesting, and closed minded was the person that thought there was anyone else who could not teach them something.
So no, Ino was not hiding from the world because of any deep seated inherent antisocial tendencies. No, it was simply a matter of wishing to contemplate some of his recent theories, and to examine the experiences that he has had of late without interruption. To hear without thinking is near as foolish as to think without hearing.
So he had settled down to consider. The small, mentally and emotionally not physically, were prone to thinking in rigid ways. When challenged by something they could not explain away or accept, it was as if a strong wind blew a sapling, snapping it in half. However, a mind willing, even eager to learn was often more akin to grass, it bent, tasting the wind as it passed over. When a mind set on learning had to stand firm, for example when the person's morals were challenged, then they were no mere sapping, but a strong mountain. Well, at least, that was one theory. He hoped to one day have the wisdom to know when to bend, and when to be stone, as well as the strength and flexibility to be what was needed. However, he knew that he was a long way off of that lofty goal. There was still so much to learn and experience.
Hearing the sound of someone crashing along through the trees, the unmistakable sound of a larger animal stamping a hoof, he sighed softly, but smiled. Apparently experience would come to him, this day.

Frustrated, Uroko bit into the bark of a nearby tree, leaving yet another marker along his trail. He could swear he'd seen that large oak before, but at least this time he was smart enough to leave himself a trail. At least now, the next time that he came through, there would be a mark to let him know for certain he had traveled in a circle once again. How long had he been going in this direction now? So far he had yet to come upon any of his previous marks and that reassured him. Perhaps he was going the correct way after all.
Feeling confident, Uroko Banggai moved forward once again. As he came to a patch of brush he had not remembered seeing, he forced himself through it. Sure it looked rather thick, but perhaps that was what he had been missing before? What had his tutors told him at the palace? Things aren't always what they seem. They had told him, and in this case they were certainly right. Just on the other side of the bushes laid a small trail. It looked as if it was more of a deer trail, something that smaller creatures used. Yet it looked to be well traveled. The stallion lifted his hoof to move forward once more and stopped, realizing that he was no longer alone.

Inoshishioni smiled at the irritated other. "Good tidings to you," he said pleasently. Ino studied the other soq carefully. The male before hiim looked unlike any he had sen before, but then Inoshiishioni knew that he himself deviated from stndard definitions of basic norms. That varity, that difference between so many was part of what made life so interesting. did so many think differently because so many looked differently? If everyone looked the same, would they alsothink alike? Or mayhaps would the unifornmity do the oppisite and force everyone to find mental and emotional ways to express their differences? A fascinating conundrum to be sure...
