Upenzi was hard at work, but then again she was always working. The lioness had a hard time giving herself a life outside of work, though a few males had certainly tried to get her attention. Frankly, she was too blind to even notice that they weren't just being nice to her, so they had moved on. Upenzi got a lot of things from her mother, and being busy with work was one of them.
"Hmmm," the lioness grumbled to herself. It seems a wedding would probably happen soon, and she wanted to make sure that she was ready to go when it happened. The hardest part was making sure that it would be pretty enough for the wedded pair, and just unique enough for high class, even to low class. If the Great Lion didn't quite favor the low class lions, that didn't mean they shouldn't get a beautiful ceremony as well!
"I think I need more things...but what?" she asked herself as she wandered a bit aimlessly around the pride.

 Halili was happy. And not just in a "this is a beautiful day" happy, she'd been in this mood ever since she and Orion had agreed they wanted to share their lives. And not in a platonic way either. True, things weren't quite official yet, but they would be soon! "Hello!" she called out cheerfully, spotting another lioness nearby. She recognized Upenzi - nearly everyone in the pride seemed to know the Host - and liked the older lioness.

Upenzi's ears swiveled before her head did, but there was a look of delightful surprise on her face.
"Oh, Halili!" Upenzi smiled warmly and hummed a bit as she approached the lioness. Upenzi didn't know as to why Halili was so happy, but Halili always seemed at some level of joy.
"Perfect. How are you today? Are you in the middle of anything right now?" She may be able to use her help in gathering things, once Upenzi figured out just what it was she needed.

"I'm wonderful!" the younger lioness returned. Indeed, she doubted that even being asked to care for an elder's discarded body could dampen her joy at this time. She couldn't stop smiling.
"And no, I'm not needed anywhere at this moment, though I've heard there's to be a hunt either later today or early tomorrow. Is there something you need from me?" She'd be happy enough just talking to Upenzi, but as a member of the low class, she did have responsibilities to meet.
At least helping Upenzi was light work, all things considered.

Upenzi's ears flattened against her skull for a moment. "If you don't mind...I'm always so busy, it seems like lions such as yourself always know where to find things that I need, and it helps to save time. I'm trying to stock up on good items for wedding ceremonies, and figured it was high time I refilled that stockpile!" the lioness laughed.
"I'm thinking maybe some pretty stones, or maybe the location of some nice flowers or vines...anything that might help make it more special." Little did Upenzi know...Halili would certainly have an idea!

"Oh, certainly!" What an opportunity! She could, if she were selfish, find some excellent pieces for her own upcoming wedding. But that would be mean. Better to find as many nice items for any and all weddings that the pride would be seeing, so that everyone could enjoy them.
After all, she didn't need the best of everything at hers. The one thing she wanted more than anything else in the world was also the one thing she was guaranteed to have. And that, of course, was Orion. Though he wasn't a thing, he was a lion, which really wasn't the point of anything.
"Are there a lot of weddings coming up?" she asked curiously.

Upenzi grinned. "Perfect." She never really felt bad in asking the low class lions to help her, since she tried to make her work a little more enjoyable and out of the normal requests, but it was always great to get a good response to her request.
"Not really," she shrugged. "Sometimes they're planned out for a while, especially for the high class lions. Other times they need to be done quickly...so I try to make sure I have a decent selection of things ready to go in case I don't get much time to plan it." Which happened at times, and would happen in the future. Planned ones were always so much better on her and her stress level.

"That makes sense," Halili agreed cheerfully. And it was a good thing for all those...hastily planned weddings that they had a Host who was so conscientous of her duties. Not that hers was going to be quite so soon, but, well, now that they had agreed it would happen, the young lioness found herself rather impatient.
She wondered if she should tell Upenzi that it was certain some of these materials would go to her own wedding. She hadn't actually told anyone yet, though her parents and Orion's parents knew, and probably some other miscellaneous family. But...what was the point of being so excited if you didn't share with anyone?
"I hope you set something wonderful aside for my wedding," she offered jokingly.

Upenzi was in such a good mood now, happy to have the cute lioness around to help her. It...really put her in a good mood, being busy with good company. Her demeanor got a little more excited once Halili breathed those last few words.
"Really?!" Upenzi squeaked, an overflow of joy exploding from her face. "Oh, Halili, congratulations! We will definitely find some nice stuff for your wedding. You deserve it, just like everyone else." Her tail swished behind her happily. "Who's the lucky male?" she asked with a sly wink. Low class or not, Halili was simply a joy to be around.

Upenzi's joy in her joy was wonderfully apparent and it just made Halili excited all over again. "Yes!" she confirmed happily. "It's Orion, and I'm so happy and I know he's happy, even though it's like pulling teeth to get him to say much on the subject, or any subject, and you don't have to do anything really special for me, I was just joking with you."
She could have danced, she was that happy. "You will be there though, won't you? It'd make me so happy."

Upenzi couldn't help herself, and she waved a paw around at Halili. "Nonsense! Let me do something special for you as a thanks for helping me right now. You have to tell me all about it....I'm so thrilled for you! Of course I'll be there!"
Perhaps it was a good thing that not many males would want to help with wedding things...as the two of them were probably going to have quite the girly talk while gathering items. It made Upenzi so happy to see the glamorous and romantic ideals of marriage were still alive and thriving within the pride's heart, including Halili's.
