A giant fluffy hoof swooped out of the way of scurrying mice as they danced around, trying to escape a squishy death. "Woah, there, little fellas. Be more careful next time!" His voice was soft, calm and friendly as he took each step carefully to avoid hurting the poor creatures. Sometimes, the draft stallion really hated his size, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it and there was no point in sulking about something he couldn't change, so eventually he just learned to accept it. When he was born, his mother, a full draft herself, told him that he was just a half-bred draft, and yet as he grew he surpassed the expectations of his mother and stood at least a foot taller than both her and his sister. And it bugged him, oh how it bugged him. He couldn't fit into tight spaces like all the other foals; he couldn't play with them the way they played with each other. And although he loved the company of everyone and never once spoke a word of complaint, his size continuously nagged at him.

That was, until he met his father. After his mother had told him where Bliss would be, and what he looked like, Colt went searching for the father he never got to meet. And it didn't take long until he was looking into the eyes - his eyes - of the stallion who knocked up his mother and then left. Colt didn't hate Bliss for it - no - Bliss was the victim. He had one night with Colt's mother and then he left her, but he had no idea she had gotten pregnant - she had never bothered to find Bliss and tell him. He wasn't a good father, she had told Colt once; she wanted what was best for him. But after Colt found him, he really looked at his father and noticed that the old stallion was, although a regular soquili with nothing special, terribly, terribly massive for his breed. So Colt had been bred from two massive Soquili, and only got his fluffy hooves from his mother. And it made him smile, knowing that he hadn't just been weird his whole life.

So now he dealt with it. His size was a part of him and he appreciated it with everything he had. It was only when there were creatures like tiny mice around did the thought of his size ever occur to Colt anyways.

As the mice below his feet began to scatter away into the forest, the large stallion looked down at where the almost-accident took place and saw little marks in the dirt that he assumed were their footprints. A smile crept onto his face as he kept staring and staring at the ground, his eyes shifting from his own hooves to the marks on the ground.

"I wonder what it's like, being that small....and seeing a creature like me towering above you." He spoke out loud, to no one.

Two rather friendly birds hung low on a branch as they started to argue over a worm that one of them had caught. They looked very much like one another, almost as twins or maybe birds had just looked like one another in general the mare was never sure. Even as the worm had fallen from the tree and managed to get away from the birds they continued to squawk until a loud yawn sounded from below startling them off into flight.

Kitty stretched her wings letting the top tips of her feathers touch before tucking them close to the side of her body. Shaking the sleep from her eyes and the curls from her face she moved slowly away from the shade, it was colder there much unlike the warm sun she had been laying in earlier when she had fallen asleep. Cats like to sleep in the sun not eh cool shade, or at least that is what she had gathered from when she had chattered to cats. Well no, that was not entirely true she could not really talk to cats there were a few who lingered around some that seemed a little more threatening than others most just ignored her. Yet that didn’t stop her from considering them as a friend, really anyone was a friend as long as being eaten or harmed was on the agenda.

“Bored……. I am rather bored at the moment….. so what to do…. Doo…… sooo doooooooooooooooooooooo……” The last couple of do’s had a very extra notes oooo as Kitty started to sing them out. She continued as she started to sing other various non-sensical words together such as “fishpie did hoooovveerrr diifiimsoqui squidddllleeesoumshio.” After traveling far enough along she started to dance along the music letting her hooves shuffle across the ground as her wings started to flap back and forth her voice growing louder and louder as the words became even less familiar and more gibberish.

What fun was there to singing if she had to stop and thinking about all her words each time?

What in the high heavens was that noise?

It burst through the trees and the sky like a bomb for anyone that was close enough to hear it; random sounds of both something and nothing filling the once quiet afternoon air. The surprise on Colt's face left almost as immediate as it came once the initial shock wore off and he actually listened to the sound of her voice. There were no words, but the tone was good, and that's what mattered, right? As the voice grew and grew with each note it carried, the stallion realized he must be pretty damn close to the owner of the singing voice.

Otherwise, that mare (or whatever she was) had a pretty large set of pipes on her, he mused.

He did his best to quiet down his steps as he tried to follow the singing. If anything, he needed to compliment the owner on a job well done. It's not every day he gets to hear the workings of another creature - usually it was only just the birds.

Colt weaved in and out of trees, the singing louder and louder, until he came across a smaller mare, hidden mostly by the shade of the towering trees above her, facing the opposite direction. She was the singer, he announced to himself, watching as she danced to her own tune. It was....cute. Very cute.

"You've got a nice set of pipes on you." He boomed, laughing.

Kitty was not aware how loud she was actually singing, she was merely singing for fun. Or maybe she was singing to get the attention of someone so she wasn’t bored or alone.

“SSSSHJURLLOOOOEEWWWWWWWWW YHIOMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA QQQQQQQQQSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOO ALOWJD LAISUD SLWIDH LJOIHGHEOXLS!”

As she sang she pranced sort of fluttering wings and letting her hooves hover above the ground for a few minutes before landing. Kitty would then shuffle her feet across the ground before twirling around in circles a few times and then leaping into the air. She went on doing this a couple of times repeating the same movement over and over and getting a little dizzy in nature.

She didn’t even stop when the loud booming voice sounded, instead she waited until she was done with the entire dance before giving him her attention.

“THANK YOU!” She replied whirling around with a grin as large as her muzzle could muster, he was BIG. Bigger than she thought the voice belong to, maybe even bigger than she had ever seen any soquili. Quickly, she started to prance around him trying to guess how many hops it would take to get around him though she lost count about 20, but that didn’t matter.

“SoooooooOOOOOOooOOooOOOOooooo you want me to sing more? I can sing another song…. Or…… ummmmmmm something else?” Kitty replied peering at his face as she twitched her tail happily as she stopped her prancing in front of him.

Eyes danced in his head as he followed the small mare's every dance step. Before the end of her dance, the stallion could feel a small headache coming on from the movement of his eyes....how did she do it, and not fall over from getting dizzy? Colt rather admired her, thought, for just doing whatever she really wanted to do without having a second thought.

And she did have good dancing moves, too. Her wings made the steps look elegant and fun, at least in Colt's opinion. He had seen his father try to dance before and it was a complete and utter disaster. Then again, anyone who was having fun while doing something was automatically good at what they did. Happiness and fun always made everything better.

The the tiny mare stopped, and turned around to face him. She was very pretty, he mused, her personality definitely matched the way she looked. It was cute, again, he thought. Twice this mare made him think she was cute. "You're welcome. And might I add, you are quite pleasant to watch dance, too. Such a refreshing change from my dad." He laughed, eyes still following he her every move as she pranced around him.

This mare was a bundle of energy and it made him smile. Colt wouldn't be surprised if this mare had the talent to stop all the evils in the world with a simple song and dance. Soquili like her definitely made the world a better place.

"You could teach me to sing and dance, if you'd like. I would be honored. Unfortunately my size might be a slight complication, but I would be willing to give it my best shot." The large stallion laughed again, and wiggled his behind a few times, then piked up hoof and stomped in back onto the ground.

"If you saw my Dad dance, you'd understand why I can't. Runs in the family I guess. Oh, and I'm Colt, by the way." He smiled at her, willing her to start dancing again.
