Mosa, the newly appointed ANBU captain, had only been waiting for a few minutes for his reconnaissance squad when its members appeared before him, as though they were all already expecting a summon.
Most of his men having been somewhat caught off guard by the news of a possible rebel insurgence on Kodoku Island and the intel having been gathered through the... let's say unorthodox... methods of the black ops, he had had no choice but to turn to the captain of the independant division that had uncovered the alarming news for assistance. Despite his despise for this organization of the Mist, he had no choice but to ask for their help if he wanted a squad that would be briefed and ready to hit the field on an extremely short notice. His ego bruised from having to turn to what he would almost qualify as a rogue cell instead of his own men, he adressed the shinobis dryly.
"I'm certain you've all already had your own "briefing" so I'll make this quick. We've received information that a rebel group has risen on Kodoku Island, this is no longer a rumour. These scum's base is apparently located in a somewhat large jungle area a few miles away from Kodoku village.", he explained. Ashamed of what he was about to ask, he turned away from the squad before clarifying their mission, "You are to locate the rebel base and forward the information to me, and only to ME, as soon as you have it. You are to avoid confrontation as much as possible, and wait for further orders before directly engaging any target who does not prove a direct threat to your objective."
"Now, GO.", he concluded without further formalities, pointing to the door.
[All available ANBU members who are willing to join the mission report here with a quick post so we can see who will be participating. (Levels 20-25)]

[sorry for shortness!]

Naru appeared and listened to the briefing without raising any questions of her own. As she listened she looked around to see who would be going on this mission with her. This was also the first opportunity for her to see the new ANBU captain and so far he seemed a bit disappointing. She thought from his appearance that he'd have a bit more personality to him! Well, they were all on duty, so that might explain it.

Kai walked silently into the room and took his seat, only the light clicking made by his quivered arrows alerting them to his presence. He'd all but been mute after the demise of Team Titan, where he had been known as Coeus. Now without a squad he was being thrown hastily into this mission, he'd had plenty of time to recover right? Well by ANBU standards he had, meaning he'd had plenty of time for his physical wounds to heal, which was all that mattered in the ANBU of the Mist. "Reporting in Sir." He said curtly as he sat down, his mask hiding his expressionless face.

Hiru had been waiting for a while. He had been briefed on the situation but had not been informed as to who would be joining his squad. So far, Naru, whom he was very familiar with, had reported in. This reassured him a great deal since she was a good friend and proved an important asset to any scouting mission, given her particular skill set.
Next, there was another whom he did not know. This unsettled him a great deal since there were very few who knew about, or even less, shared, Hiru's particular qualms concerning violence. Strangers could lead to tensions amongst the team and, seeing the long ranged equipment strapped on his back, it seemed even more probable as that particular shinobi appeared to be an long ranged assassin type.
Hiru thought he'd wait a bit longer to see who would report in before he gave the signal to move out.

ANBU ll Danjou ll Code Name: The Seeker
It had been a while since Danjou had been called off duty at the "Beach" where he had been station for a few months down. He had made it back to the village but he wasn't able to see his brother before he went off to his next job. He signed as he hopped from one building to the next heading to the meeting spot for his team. He looked around at some of the changes he had seen since he had been gone. People were walking in the street and smiling which meant the civil wars that had gone on may have either ended of a new government had taken over possibly a new Mizukage. He'd have to find out later. He found the spot and hopped down to the building.
Danjou entered the rooms surveying the place to see if he had known any of the people in front of him. He had probably went to the academy with someone but he wasn't sure anymore seeing as how he had been sent on mission after mission and then "stationed" at the beach. He came in on the tail end of the briefing which meant he had to either ask to be briefed again or he could just sit there hoping there would be more information that he could piece together. "Danjou, reporting," he said through his mask letting his hands hang at his side.
"If you don't mind can you repeat the briefing for me?" he asked hoping that the captain would answer and not have his head for being the last minute replacement. O O O O O O O

TABTABZ E R OTAB TAB Hunter of the MistThe Seeker would not be the only one who was late to the meeting, for Zero had been detained as well. He was the last to enter the halls, following a set distance behind the other ANBU member, his own garb immediately giving notice as to which division he was officially part of.
He would have come here sooner if he could, but the filing process for his latest mission report took longer than he would have liked. While it would perhaps be an excellent idea to file a complaint to the Kage's Tower to increase their staffing, Zero knew better - it was no secret to the higher-ups that Kiri was spread thin not only thanks to the numerous events of the last six months alone but to also deal with the long-term repercussions left by the Water Woman. After all, this was partly why even though he was not of the same division, he had received a notice from the Mizukage that all available hands are highly recommended to move out for the ... situation.
Behind his white fox mask, his lips pressed tightly together. He hadn't even been able to say hello to Hatsuyuki: the last mission alone took three whole months. He held no delusions of returning early from this one either, and with an internal shake of his head, he thought to himself that even the next time he is back in Kiri he wouldn't have time for personal recreation. There were papers the leader of the Hunter's Division wanted him to have read, and truthfully, he was looking forward to read them. After all, there was always the chance that the documents might just have the necessary piece of information he had been searching all along for...
If the Seeker was a last-minute replacement, Zero was a last minute named adjunct. Since the Seeker had already asked the new Captain the question, he won't reiterate. He merely waited, to see what the Captain would say.
