Character Description: Mathias is a fairly muscular but skinny man. His eyes are a dark and intimidating red that is always behind a thin pair of glasses. His skin isn’t very tan because he spends most of his time wandering at night instead during the day. The blonde hair on his head is usually slightly messy especially when it is early in the morning with bangs that sometimes hang in from of his eyes. Whenever he is troubled or tired, he can be found with a cigarette in his mouth. Rarely does he ever finish a cigarette unless he really stressed out. Mathias is usually found with a fairly dark blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a black vest over that. The vest has a few pockets that hold small amounts of clay that he only uses for emergencies in case his larger source of clay is empty. He also has two large pouches on his sides. Those are his prime sources of clay and are always filled to the brim with clay. This also means that there is a lot of weight on his sides but he has grown used to this making him very quick with or without them. For pants, he either wears normal sweat pants or comfortable jeans. On his feet he wears normal ninja sandals. Finally, the two things he’s is almost never seen without, are his black gloves. He wears them to cover up the mouths on his hands in case he needs to shake someone’s hand or hold things so that the mouths don’t try to bite whatever he is holding.

Personality: Mathias is a very confident individual. He enjoys just listening to people rather than actually talking. But, when he does talk, his voice is smooth and calm. When people are near him they can feel an air of intelligence and intimidation around him. He is known to be very smart and able to think quickly while in a situation. Though, when he is not fighting, Mathias can be very lazy. He greatly dislikes doing paper work and will constantly procrastinate so he doesn’t have to. When around children, he is very kind and a known story teller. He just loves to tell them of his adventures as a ninja. Even though he has an air of calmness around him, Mathias can be very brutal when protecting someone. He will often lay his life on the line to protect anyone close to him or important to a mission. Rarely will he ever deliberately let someone hit him unless it is part of a plan he has created. There are only two things that will set him off and out of his normally relaxed personality. Those things are, when he is underestimated and when someone puts someone else down. The only way to know when he is set of, is when he has an explosive sculpture close to the person who had set him off, or just by looking at his eyes. His eyes are the key to his true emotions. No matter what his eyes always tell what he is truly feeling. Such as, his body could be relaxed and his voice could be calm, but if his eyes have a deathly glare to them then there is a high possibility that he is thinking of the many ways he could kill you.

Biography: Even when he was a young child, Mathias’ parents knew he would grow to be a powerful ninja. Unlike many other parents who ‘thought’ that their child would be great, Mathias’ parents knew. They could see by his deep and large amounts of chakra that he would very powerful. One strange thing was that, not including birth, Mathias never cried around his parents. He always kept his emotions in check and never allowed anyone to know when he was stressed out. The reason for this is because his father was a very strict man. His father, Jacob, would always get furious if Mathias showed any other emotion than calmness and would constantly scold him if he did otherwise. As he grew, Mathias took as many chances as he could to get away from his father. He would train in the forest not far from his house, or train with his teammates, and sometimes just take a nap in the forest. But, whenever he trained with his teammates and came home with a smile on his face, his father would get furious and fight with Mathias until he could barely move. His mother grew worried and alerted the Tsuchikage of her husband’s doings. The Tsuchikage, at that time, was very fond of Mathias and was very surprised to hear that his father abused him. So, he immediately sent Anbu to capture and lock up Mathias’ father. While they attempted to take Jacob in, Mathias wasn’t home, but his mother was. She tried to talk to reason with her husband but only resulted in getting killed in the crossfire by her husband’s Bombs. Jacob escaped and was never found again. Mathias was 13 when his mother was killed so the Anbu didn’t let him see her body but he knew who killed her. After her death, he began to train endlessly. He didn’t want his mother’s death to be in vain so he wanted to prove that he could be a great ninja just like she wanted him too. But, he knew that if he wanted to do so, then he shouldn’t ever look for his father to avenge her. So, he completely disregarded his father’s existence and never allowed anyone to speak of him while Mathias was in range. Ever since his mother was killed by his father’s Bakuton techniques, everyone was afraid of Mathias and his Bakuton bloodline. So he made it his goal to show everyone in his village that the Bakuton wasn’t something to fear… But to treasure. On his 17 birthday, Mathias was made a Chunnin. Because of his new rank, the Tsuchikage was able to reveal to Mathias a way to make his Bakuton stronger. Although he wasn’t power hungry, he wanted to show everyone in the village that the Bakuton could be used for good, so he let the Tsuchikage teach him the Kinjutsu known as the Bakuton Clay Method. After many years of training, Mathias was able to master the Kinjutsu. He wouldn’t allow the Tsuchikage to make him a higher rank until he did. So, when he finally did it, not only did the Tsuchikage make him a Jonin, but he also made him the Leader of the Blast Corps of Iwagakure. Now Mathias is proud of his ranking and mastery in the Bakuton clay method and proudly watches over the village at night and takes on strong missions on his own rarely ever allowing people to assist him.
