My creativity has limits, guys.
First things first, other than the basic holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's, summer), what should the months be? Should we do all the months, or only some? What are your opinions?
Go ahead and get brainstorming!
But remember! We're not only about work, we're also about play! Go ahead and chat with people, make friends, plot yourevil schemes.

I think we should stick to the holiday months. No offense but I doubt most of us can keep up a roleplay event every month especially when we have things like work/school/college midterms/kids etc. Plus we'd run out of ideas after awhile.

Just the holidays would be easiest to do, but I'd love to be doing an event a month. Honestly, I have the easiest class load I've had since grade school, and spend a quarter of my time at school reading or writing.
But otherwise, should we rush-plan a back-to-school roleplay for the beginning of September? I've been in school almost three weeks now, but most of the world is just about to start.

We could do a Solstice or seasonal (First day of Fall, First day of Winter, First day of Spring, First day of Summer) type of deal! Since the first of each season is pretty much official, it'd be a way to somehow meet in the middle!
It's not as frequent as a monthly countdown, but it's not as short as just the holidays.

I know you're not asking us to be online everyday, but someone was probably going to bring something like this up anyway. i know, i know i cant either but there will be others asking to join in later as well and we do have quite alot of host at the moment as well. last year we only really had maybe 5-8 people doing the rp event and it did change, we also managed to do it monthy... some how XD

♥ forgive me if this sounds like a totally bad idea, but i think it would be cool to do a roleplay for each of the eight festivals on the wheel of the year.
that's this thing,
it's besically the eight pagan festivals that we celebrate each year- and they pretty much line up with the christian festivals that derived from them, so it would tie in with the halloween/christmas/easter etc events that gaia does.
also, and this is probably just me, but i think it would be a great idea to sort of base each roleplay on the sort of "story" that goes with each festival. for example, samhain (halloween) is the night when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is thinnest- so we could maybe use that as the basis for a story!
wow that was a bit long. sorry haha! i was just talking to my mother about her plans for samhain and got a bit carried away.
...i'm going to go lay off the coffee now.

It would help if we had some idea what Gaia was going to be up to on those holidays. We could either work a theme to go with it or do something dramatically different so those who wish not to participate in the Gaia event can come to ours.
We are working on Halloween now, and I think it is a great place to start off the Ball events, because well its the best holiday in my opinion.
Christmas will likely involve more odd Santa stuff, aliens, cows, and who knows what else again this year. We could do something like an Ice Hotel, not sure of a cool plot but the setting is nice. Something to do with Vikings and stay with the snow winter theme and not the holiday one. We could go super goofy and silly and theme it around the horrible Star Wars holiday special, which is completely in the realm to do as you do not need any permission to use any Star Wars based material for any fan driven endeavors, one of the beauties behind the series.
Valentines day comes next, as does spring time. Those usually go together so we could work in ideas of Fairies and Nymphs going around being mischievous and naughty. Do something totally with nature and a druid idea to have people come to like a spring festival of love gathered around the ancient tree the druids guard.
That's what I got so far but then its late and I need some rest. Hope that helps some.
