Painite was returning to some of her older habits. She was tinkering. It wasn't something she had done in a while, with her spear and her activities in the Negaverse keeping her mind fairly active. Her personal life was going well, and she'd even started working again.
She had been happy for a while there, and fully occupied, but something must have bored her. Something must not be right. She just did not know what it was, in the end, and she could not complain about something she did not really know about.
Instead, she would just do what her instincts told her, to make her feel better.
She was sitting atop an old building, on the corner of its roof. Her shadows were cast like a gargoyle on the street far below, though no one down there would likely notice. She had in her lap what were once old devices, maybe clocks or kitchen appliances. Nothing big, and nothing whole. She was messing with them like Lego, and not paying attention to much else.
In the back of her mind, she kept her senses open for the approach of any Order auras, but even that was a secondary concern.

Albireo was starting to get the hang of things now. Starting to really get the hang of enjoying the auras that held the sweet tinge of chaos, instead of shrinking away from them. She had yet to meet any other members of the negaverse, let alone anyone that she had once considered an enemy. She felt an aura now though, a strong one, full of chaos.
The swan senshi hesitated, wondering if she should go up and say hello. There was no harm in that, after all. After all…they were all on the same side. She made her way up to the top of the building and glanced at the figure that was sitting near the edge, a slight fear entering her system.
It was Painite…
Well…maybe this was a reunion that she didn’t yet want to make. Corrupted or not, she was quite sure that Painite would still hate her…in fact, she was quite sure that the general would always hate her, unless she somehow became a cat again, then she might have a chance at friendship. She hesitated, remembering how the general had acted when she was a cat. Well, maybe she could at least try to make contact…she could…
Worst came to worst, she could run like hell. “Good evening, General Painite…”
She was rather upset at just how timid her voice came out. That was not fitting of an eternal senshi what so ever.

Painite felt a very obvious power signature coming her way, but waited until it spoke to her before she turned. She had not seen a corrupted senshi in a bit, and she missed the ones she knew. A little hope rose in her that it might be one of them, but this signature, though similar, was unfamiliar in that small way. She knew it wasn't someone she knew.
At least, not as a corrupt senshi.
She turned at the feminine, soft voice and tilted her head at its source. It took her a moment, but her eyebrows lifted in recognition.
"Duckie! Well, would you look at that! My toys are always taken away from me, it seems! Look at you, all grown up and finally on the right team, eh? I guess that means our games are at an end. That's such a shame, you had the cutest little terrified face."
She grinned and moved to her, taking a look at her as she circled around Albireo. She nodded approvingly, as if the young senshi needed Painite's approval in all this.
"Well, at least you've got the look right. If I'd known you wanted to join us I would have... well, no, I probably would have messed with you all the same. But how about we bury the hatchet. Or spear, as it were."

Whatever fear she had still held for Painite evaporated at once and she found herself smiling. “So I take it you approve of the change then?” She didn’t really know why she was worried about having Painite’s approval, but it still…felt like it would be a good thing to have. It was such a strange thought though, having the general circle her and not feeling like she was going to be skewered at any moment.
A strange thought, but a good one.
“It wouldn’t have been nearly as much fun without the games, General Painite, I assure you.” Albireo shook her head, her long hair smacking lightly against her arm. “But…I take that to mean that we can be friends now, maybe? I would like to bury the spear, or the hatchet. Or my honking, even, if that’s what it takes.”
This was something that Albireo had never thought possible. Painite had always been that one dark shadow, the creeper in the night, the reason she always looked behind her as she patrolled and now…well, now she seemed genuinely happy to welcome her into the ranks of the Negaverse.
A happy little sigh slipped from the eternal’s lips and she laughed. “I’m happy to have joined…I really am.”

"Of course I approve! You look a lot better with Chaos in you. Of course, everyone always does." She grinned and winked, though her expression was light hearted and she seemed honest in her appraisal. As honest as she could get, with a constant air of deviousness around her.
That was just a part of her nature.
She laughed at the request and patted Albireo on the shoulder, lightly. She left her hand there, standing slightly to the side now that she'd come to a stop in her vulture-like circling.
"Friends, yes. I think I would like that very much! And if you need any help getting your nega-legs around here, you can always trust me. This place has some weird, complicated feelings about senshi, but I think it's pretty black and white. If you're on our side, you're on our side."
"Just don't expect me to spend a lot of time girly-talking while on duty. We can have a bunch of fun together, of course. Oh, you're going to have a blast, I can just imagine it." She laughed and felt excitement burning in her chest. Poor Albireo was likely going to get dragged into some of Painite's schemes.
