I haven't read much about it, other than they're going the Japan route with this one. People seem especially upset about it, though. Why is that?

Yeah, we all know how the last Wolverine movie turned out.

Well to put my two cents in, I love Marvel movies. I know they're not as good as it could be, see Avengers, which was AWESOME. But they really missed the ball on Wolverine Origins. I had to throw out all I knew just to enjoy watching it. It's like reading a fanfiction actually. You cannot play all the rules and info to a writers creativity. Now, that is fanfiction, not movies. When that happened to movies, it's a very sad day.

I actually enjoy watching Wolverine: Origins (even though it was VERY inaccurate) though I didn't watch it like a canon film, I watched with an AU setting in my mind. Much like Clue did in the end of that movie (if you remember that movie, kudos cookies to you) They did several variations of the ending. "Or it could have happened like this...."

As for The Wolverine, I think the Japanese plot would be wonderful. If done correctly, that is. It was an important time in his life where he found himself and blah blah blah, also leading to Daken being made, which I have a special psychotic love/hate place in my heart for. Though while I cannot picture anyone else as Wolverine, I kinda snicker thinking of Hugh Jackman in a Japanese setting. It also reminds me of The Last Samurai, which I kinda hated. It's an acquired taste for a film settling. That and Tom Cruise sucks.

Though I cannot wait for a Wolverine/Daken movie, or a Wolverine/X-23 one. Those two are the movie chemistry I want to watch. The hatred and the drama and... Oh, yes, there will be blood. Though I have no actor picked out for Daken, I want Summer Glau to play X-23, unless she's too old by the time they finally get to that plot.

Whew.... kinda ranted on a bit, but there ya go, my two cents...
