This might be the most useful way to prevent a scammer/hacker (This trick/tip was shared with me by a good Gaian, GreenGummy10):
1: Go to your account preferences.
2: Click the check-box on the option to check or un-check it. I recommend checking it. Then click "Save All Changes".
3: Open another tab or window and log into your e-mail. (AT@T, Yahoo! MSN, Hotmail, G-Mail, etc). You will get an e-mail from Gaia that says "IP Verification turned on". Open that e-mail and read it CAREFULLY. The link at the top will allow you to turn the option on. The link at the bottom will allow you to turn it off.
By doing this, the IP Verification will allow no one except for you to access your account. This proudly prevents hackers from getting into your account. The downside? You can't get onto Gaia while you're out somewhere, like your cousins house, a hotel, motel, on vacation, etc. But that's because it was made to protect your account specifically from scammers/hackers. Hope this helps to all of you people! Stay safe everyone!

I figured out why people get hacked so easily after filling in the fake information by accident; They didn't have their IP Verification on! It happened to me too; I didn't have it on, and I ended up getting hacked. So I figured this is the magical option that will keep you from getting hacked. And even though it means that you cannot log into Gaia in other places, the point will just keep you safe from being hacked. So if you accidentally fill in fake information from hackers, and when they try to log into your account using the information, the IP Vertification will stop them, and will tell them that you turned on IP Vertification and that thing will prevent the hacker from logging in and taking all your stuff and ruining your life. And because the hacker tried logging in with the IP Vertification on, you will get a PM notice saying so.
Hope this helps. 3nodding

I remember telling you to turn your IP Verification last time in the Soul Eater guild. I don't think you would remember it, but I clearly do remember saying that to you.
Even though my IP is on, I still move around and get on like I was in San Francisco.

♪ɢяɛɛиɢʋммʏ10™ Really? o-o I don't remember...XD And that's weird. Because when I went on Gaia with my IP Verification on while at my cousins house, and it wouldn't log me in due to it being on. o-o.

 Yeah I had a feeling you wouldn't remember... ;T
You had to active the other IP email and then log in, that's it. It's easy, just keep in mind if you log in anywhere else, you'll have to active the other IP and if you want it back to your house, active that one again

Ah, okie. That sounds a bit troublesome, I'll just stick with leaving the IP Address on while I'm away.
