Hekate's timing in reaching the kitchen had been perfect allowing the red haired rider to slip in, feed her fair of fire lizards and slip out with a tray with a jug of klah and a pile of meatrolls stacked high on a plate on it. While Hekate was certainly not the. . .easiest person to get along with she did have a bit of a soft spot here and there.

One such soft spot that she shared with Devith and likely a certain bronze was that she hated to lose. She really truly hated it so she could empathize at least somewhat with those riders who's dragons would rise for a flight. I see Pipith and His Mine. Devith informed her leading his rider to man and bronze.

"Thank you Devith. Would you let them know we're coming." Hekate asked not wanting to startle the pair. After all the bronze had been rather violent in the flight and though she was hoping that had worn off somewhat she wasn't above being cautious. Hopefully Set'al was holding up all right as well.

Good morning Pipith. Mine and I have brought the bitter smelling sweet drink and meatrolls for yours and you. Devith rumbled gently as the weyrling pair approached.

If you are not a green or a gold or a crimson, and you are not about to take Flight, go away, the little bronze rumbled unhappily, curling up a bit more tightly and all but covering himself with his wings. I am not interested in company. Send Yours to Mine if you wish, but I want no part in it.

Mine, he added to his rider, That girl with the silver is coming.

Set'al groaned a little response and forced himself to roll out of bed. He was already dressed, but he'd simply fallen back into bed after the Flight. He wasn't really sore about it the way his dragon was, though; the sad truth was that for him, the worst part of a lost Flight was dealing with Pipith afterwards. Losing anything made the bronze very, very unhappy indeed, and rather unpleasant to be around.

He says we may go to His. He seems to be in as good of a mood as one could expect. Devith passed on to Hekate who sighed and cast the bronze a sympathetic glance before walking up to the small hut and knocking on the door. She'd wait until he opened it greeting him with a small smile.

"While I'm certain I'm not exactly the person you're hoping to see I figured you didn't exactly get breakfast this morning." Hekate explained motioning to the tray of meatrolls and klah. "And that maybe you could do with a friendly face. Err. . .Pipith seems to be taking things. . .well. I can leave the tray and go if you like?" She offered unsure if Set'al would be much more willing to have company then Pipith.

Devith had settled instead for lounging near the door eyeing the bronze with a touch of worry suddenly glad he would not have to deal with such flights if he did not wish too. Your flying was very impressive. I thought you looked quite fearsome. Devith finally spoke, it was a simple compliment and after imparting it the young silver grew quiet content for at least the moment to leave things be and enjoy the morning. After all it was a compliment from him and the silver was not exactly known for tossing out compliments to anyone other then his rider and maybe the occasional rare one to Courath.

Even though he knew she was coming, the former Runner still blinked blearily at Hekate for a moment after he opened the door. Between the rude, early awakening and the lost Flight, he wasn't really all there quite yet, and the fact that a rather attractive young woman had decided to visit wasn't entirely helpful, given that she was a Weyrling. Not that he was necessarily quite as...active in some pursuits as some bronzeriders tended to be, but Flight-lust couldn't be helped.

But he could hardly tell her to go away when she was going out of her way to be nice to him, so he'd just have to ignore all the things going through his head - including his grumpy dragon - and be polite. "Thanks. That's...really thoughtful of you. You can come in, if you want.. Just ignore the lump out there, he'll get over it eventually."

Still, it was just as well he'd lost to a brown - he took losing greenflights to the 'lower' male colors better than losing them to other bronzes. Perhaps that particular green just preferred browns, or even blues...it was something he could rationalize to make himself feel better.

Pipith didn't respond to Devith with words, just a brief sound and a vague feeling of appreciation for the compliment. Chatting was clearly not appealing to him today.

"You're welcome. With the influx of people I figured you probably wouldn't get any food until dinnertime if someone didn't grab you some. If you're sure you don't mind I would like to come in." Hekate added somewhat sheepishly and waited until Set'al moved to step inside and set the platter with the food and klah on whatever table or flat surface she spied. Setting out the two cups she poured them each full of still steaming klah and offered one to him.

"Is he always so. . .dejected after a flight?" She asked somewhat curious after all Devith would never rise to fly greens, crimsons, or golds so she really had no idea on the subjects. Though her own proud vain silver was just as big of a sulk when it came to losing.

Devith to his credit remained quiet moving to take a seat about an arm or two's length next to Pipith and dose. Occasionally he'd make a comment about the scenery or compliment the bronze's hide or flying, but didn't appear to be doing such for anything other then his bronze companions benefit.

"I hadn't really given it much thought, so I guess it's good you did." He hadn't given anything much thought this morning, but he hadn't exactly been capable of doing so. Now that he was halfway to functioning, it occurred to him to wonder where his bunkmate had gotten to; as it was irrelevant, however, the thought was quickly dismissed to make room for further pulling himself together. He needed to shake the frustrated-unhappy and get back to normal.

Set'al glanced towards the door when Hekate asked after his dragon, accepting the klah with a grateful sound and taking a seat. "When he loses, yeah. He's like that about everything, though. Doesn't matter what it is, he can't stand losing."
