Her light rainbow swirl of a tail brushing along the ground with every step. Like always, she kept her mane short, prefering to have it kept out of her face and away from the dirty ground. She couldn't understand how Akari managed to keep her own so clean and gorgeous looking. Akahi could hardly manage her own shortened wild locks. She snorted lightly, keeping to the trail in front of her, her eyes darting around as though she were looking for something. "Akina?" She called out in a sing-song tone. She didn't get the chance to see her youngest sibling every day. For what felt like the longest time, she had been the baby of the family. Her many siblings were all so very loving, but as she grew up she found herself striving for something more. Someone for her to care about and watch over. Akahi couldn't express how excited she had been when her parents confessed to being pregnant again. It was a dream come true and the best thing next to her having her own foals. "Waaaaay too soon for that to happen," Akahi mumbled to herself. There wasn't even a stallion in her life that she'd consider as a suitor. And for now, she liked it that way. Independance fit her well, and she would go kicking and screaming if a boy tried taking it away from her. "Where are you little one?" Akahi called out again.

Akina trotted through the shorted grass happily, her hooves treading upon the ground in a steady pace. Mother had left her to herself this morning, giving her time to play before her older sister would take a watch over her. She couldn't wait! Akahi had been there for her from the first day she popped her head out of that wicker basket. The bond she shared with her brother was unbreakable and undeniably stronger than that which she felt with her other siblings, but the love Akina had for his sister was strong. While her mother was a little more careful and watchful of her youngest daughter, Akahi would tell her magical stories and let her be free. They would go on adventures together (no matter how short) and learn things Akina hadn't dreamed of. She knew that she had other siblings out there, besides Akahi and Illuminatus. Her mother told her that they couldn't visit as often, because the herd lands were a ways away from their own homes. Akina hoped that when she was older, and could fly, that she'd be able to meet them all. "Akina," Her ears perked up at the sound of her name. "Akahi?" She called out in return, running to where she heard her sister.

A pleased grin broke out across Akahi's face at the chipper sound of her sibling's voice. It wasn't long until she could see the small dark form of her sister appearing over the bend. She laughed, already able to see the happy sparkle the lit up her sister's eyes. Akari's domain had really rubbed off on her youngest. Turning her body to embrace the small foal, Akahi's smile grew. The similarities between the two didn't really go past the quirks in their separate personalities. While Akina was a perfect mix of Lutra and Akari, leaning towards her father, Akahi knew that she shared a stunning resemblance to her grandmother, Ananchel. Her mother always told her that if she ever chose to grow out her mane, that they wouldn't be able to tell the two of them apart at family reunions. Akahi was flattered by the comparison, as her grandmother was simply beautiful. The one thing that connected her to her father in a appearance was her bright green eyes. It was something that Akina seemed to miss out on, instead having throwbacks to one of their other grandparents. But her eyes weren't any less pretty, the color of moist tree bark. Akahi knew that her sister would likely grow up to be an eye catcher. The neutral tones of the rainbow in her hair only seemed to enhance her natural beauty. "What have you been up to today, little one?" Akahi bumped her sibling with her nose in greeting.

Akina wiggled her nose at the lingering tickle the bead of her sibling's nose ring left after she greeted her. From what mother had told her, many of her siblings chose to become pierced in one way or another as they grew older. It was a symbol of their passage into adulthood and served as a reminder to their strong familial bond. "Picking flowers," Akina chirped, her butt wiggling happily in a puppy like fashion. "Mother needed some new ones to put in her hair and promised to put some in mine if I helped her pick some!" She explained happily, excited for her mother to make her mane as pretty as her own. "Could you help me? Maybe mother will do your hair too!"

Akahi chuckled easily at her sister's exuberance. She remembered when she was just a foal, and how much she admired Akari's lovely long mane. During her teenage years, she tried growing her own hair out. It got to be about as long as her chest before she had it cut back to a tamable style. However, it's shorter length didn't stop her mother from weaving flowers and other pretty items into it on occasions. "Alright then, let's go." Keeping up with the shorter filly, Akina led them both to a small garden of flowers, one of the many ones kept within the herdlands. "Which ones are your favorites?" Akahi asked, leaning down to smell a beautiful pink blossom.

"The pink ones! And the purples ones! Oh! Especially the white ones," Akina hopped from flower to flower, pressing her nose gently into each one and taking in a deep breath while her sister laughed beside her. "Mother says they're called Lilleths? Lil...Lillies!" She nipped at the stem and plucked the white blossom and carried it gently in her mouth over to her sibling. "Smell it!" She exclaimed, practically shoving the large flower into her sister's nose. The response she received was a soft giggle.
