 Walking the braided hair fox looked around trying to get a hold of his surroundings. He had needed to clear his head and think about some things and had decided he could try one of those walk things since he wasn’t really in a place where Duo could steal something for the less fortunate. Of course the plan had backfired and Duo had gotten himself quite lost.
Seeing a rather large tree with plenty of shade He walked over and sat down near it. With a sigh, Duo let his head rest against the tree and began thinking of some of the thoughts that where currently troubling him. Unlike some of his other companions Duo was very much a social fox, when he was young he had solo and the gang, and then later on he had all his friends. It was quite a blow when he got separated from them again and found him self alone for another good stretch of his life. Sure he wandered around with some humans for a while and loved the attention he got but he really couldn’t talk with them or really interact with them as much as he could other foxes.
For a while he thought he was going to break down into depression or something silly like that. Luckily he had made a friend in a fox with a similar state, and then lo and behold Heero had come back. Duo wasn’t certain how he should feel. He had very strong feelings for the crazy anti social fox but Heero had been gone for a long time and then showed up looking for him? Then he was no longer fighting, maybe peace time would be a bit harder than he thought.
Ugh all this thinking and reflecting hurt his head. Life could really stop throwing him through the grinder all the time. However he knew he really shouldn’t be complaining there where others out there that had it worse than him. "Okay Duo, lets find something else less happiness destroying" he muttered to himself. Maybe he could pull a page out of Hee-chan's book and blow something up.

 Heero headed to where Duo lived. Not that he was checking up on the braided moron, simply because Heero had nothing else to do. That and the last time Heero had gone off on a mission, he came back to learn that the Baka had wandered off and gotten himself lost. For three months. Accepting the job of tracking Duo down, Heero had finally found the fox here. Mission accomplished.
Arriving at Duo's home, Heero growled in anger. "Maxwell, I swear if you've gotten yourself lost again, I'm going to kill you and deal with Quatre's anger later." The one thing that may save Duo's hide was that he obviously hadn't been gone very long.
Following Duo's scent, Heero stalked the other male. Heero found Duo acting all moony under a tree. The braided fox muttered to himself as Heero moved up behind him. "Maxwell, what the hell are you doing out here?"

Duo looked up from his muttering to see Heero standing a little ways away from him. He chuckled and shook his head. “Why is it that you always find me? Never mind it was a stupid question, don’t answer it” Duo mused. He got up and dusted off some tree stuff he had gotten lodged in his hair.
“Well I went out for a walk, you know normal beings will do that on occasion it’s a good way to get exercise.” Duo replied. He would just omit the need to clear his head and the fact the man in front of him made him want to pull out his hair.

Heero waited for the other fox to stop chattering away about useless subjects. "Because you're easy to track, Maxwell." Duo's last sentence was as close to a lie as the other fox got. Heero raised an eyebrow at the braided one and looked pointedly from the tree back to Duo.
"I suppose, for you, sitting and having your mind run around in useless circles is exercise to you, isn't it." Heero replied, letting the other know that he wasn't being fooled. "'Normal beings' are over rated and so is tedious exercise. I much prefer sparring. At least that exercise helps with training."
Eyeing Duo closely, Heero wondered if it would be worth the fight to drag out whatever it was the Baka wasn't telling him.

“If that was the case then Waffles would have already skinned me alive, I’ll have you know I am ridiculously hard to find when I want to disappear. You just have some weird unnatural voodoo powers or something stupid like that” Duo rolled his eyes and then stared right back at Heero.
“I get plenty of exercise; after all I can pretty much keep up with you. You haven’t killed me yet, not for a lack of trying some times. Thus I am in excellent condition. Normal is not overrated Hee-chan and of course you would prefer fighting why am I not surprised” he quipped back and then stopped to glare at the other male for a while.
“So why are you tracking me down again Heero?” duo asked hoping to steer away from the subject for the reason he wanted to go and take a walk. He didn’t think he would get far but it was worth a shot.

"Fortunately for you, you're so annoying that we grew attached to you. Wufei isn't planning on skinning you for a while. As for my voodoo powers, Wufei, the Chinese mobster, definitely has more than me. And I can, and will, always find you, Maxwell. Don't forget it." Heero said in a growl.
Heero stretched and sat next to the braided fox. "Maxwell, if I wanted you dead...you'd be dead. You were mooning off not five minutes ago and I could have stalked up behind you and snapped your neck. Which would have totally defeated the purpose of tracking you down in the first place, unfortunately. "Because even you have to be smart enough to know that sparring is the best exercise. And I tracked you down because you were missing."

“Thanks… I love you too Hee-chan” Duo rolled his eyes. “And I wouldn’t be too sure about that you didn’t see the prank I pulled on him right before I got stranded here. Plus no you outrank everyone when it comes to stupid creepy powers a normal being doesn’t posses Mr. ‘Oh I must die if I fail a mission’. Also don’t worry considering every time I think about forgetting it you inevitably find me”
“I am allowed to be a little lax Hee chan. I am far away from anyone who knows my true identity. Its peaceful here and we’re on mostly good terms. I don’t remember pissing you off to the point of trying to kill me lately. Plus you’d tried to really kill me when we first met and several times after that, and no you cant blame it on that pink monstrosity” Duo trailed off. “Maybe I needed to do something Private Heero, that’s not a good enough reason to just come and find me” he pointed out resisting the urge to roll his eyes.

Heero snorted eloquently at the 'I love you too' comment. That was just Duo being ridiculous again. "You forget, Maxwell, I've seen him far more recently than you have and I do know better than you do. Always. Furthermore, my powers are entirely different than Wufei's...." Heero trailed off. Why was he even having this stupid conversation? Damn Maxwell and his ability to draw him into childish arguments. He rubbed a paw over his nose and heaved a put upon sigh. "Shut up, idiot."
Lax? A little lax? And no one knew his 'true identity'? What did that make Heero, snake spit? Putting both paws on Duo's shoulder, Heero pushed the fox over just because Duo was being irritating. "It was her fault. If she hadn't jumped in the way, I would not have to be dealing with you now." Heero ignored the pang in his chest that comment caused and continued right along. "Furthermore, you aren't doing anything 'private' so your argument in invalid."

Duo hid a smile when Heero realized what he had just done. It was always great when he got the stuffy fox to be more that just a solider. Of course it was an inborn talent of his to be absolutely annoying when he wanted to be. “Aw but Hee-chan we where having such a great conversation and you where actually responding… I think its cause for celebration.” Duo teased knowing he was probably going to far. Eh he would deal with it later. Besides it was annoy Hee-chan day.
Duo just toppled over and saw no reason for getting back up. He would be silly for a while longer and probably keep on irritating his good friend. “Yeah well you know the same can be said in reverse. I also remember trying to kill you at that time and her jumping in front of you as well. Crazy a** woman” Duo muttered shaking his head. He soo did not miss her at all. “And that’s beside the point Heero, I could have been doing something for all you know, just because you cant tell at first glance doesn’t mean I’m not doing it.”

“Cause for celebration, my foot. Stop being a moron, moron.” Heero said, putting his foot on Duo’s face. Why had he missed Duo’s annoying-ness again? Heero had had such peace and quiet when the other fox was gone. Then again…three months of nothing but his own thoughts had gotten harrowing. Stupid Duo and his stupid Duo powers. Heero lifted his paw, bared his teeth at Duo just to show how irritating the other fox was, and put his paw down again.
“It can not be said in reverse. If we’d had a showdown, I’d have won. After all, I always complete my missions.” Heero dropped down to Duo’s level and dropped his paw to the other male’s braid. “You’re a pain in the a**, Maxwell. And I know you, you weren’t doing anything important. Private or otherwise.” He absentmindedly played with the braid while glaring at Duo for good measure.

“Well some one in our group needs to have the silliness. After all with you, trowa, and wufie we might as well be a bunch of dead zombie warriors” Duo sighed and then pawed at Heero’s paws. “Besides I don’t tell any lies about my personality if you didn’t want to be subject to it you wouldn’t have found me, or maybe you are a masochist wouldn’t put it past you with some of the stunts you do Hee-chan” Duo tilted his head to the side as if he was debating some great ethical question.
“And I believe one of your missions was to come find me when I got caught by those thugs and kill me so I wouldn’t leak secrets or something like that, yet here I am still alive. So you don’t always complete every mission Hee-chan. Its beside the point the point is… hey no pawing the braid. You may touch it only if given permission” Duo stuck his tongue out and grabbed his braid for safe keeping in an overly dramatic fashion.

Heero snorted. "I doubt Quatre would allow any on our team to be 'zombie warriors' for very long. And Trowa and Wufei both know how to tear one on, even if they're usually egged on by you." The others definitely did stupider things when Duo was around. His stupid behavior seemed to infect everyone at times.
Watching Duo pretend to be debating on whether or not Heero was a masochist, Heero narrowed his eyes. "I am not. Between Quatre's whining and your moronic tendencies, I had a couple of months of blessed silence while I searched for you." He joked with his face as sober as any other part of the conversation. "As for the mission, they never said when I had to kill you. Or how. I'll just follow you until I drive you to an early grave." He said with an evil smile.

“That’s true. I swear I think half the time he thinks he’s our mother” Duo mused, although as much as he teased Quatre he was glad that the little blond cared for them. It was nice change of pace. “What can I say Hee-chan, I’m very persuasive. They are way too tense. I know it can be a foreign concept but its good every once in a while to have fun. You can say all you want but I know that most of the time the three of you do have fun when I convince you to do those ‘stupid’ things as you like to call them.”
Duo rolled his eyes. He knew enough of Heero’s minute expressions to know when he was attempting a joke. The fact was if he really was annoyed by Duo that much Heero would have never tracked him down no matter how much Quatre pestered. He leaned forward and licked the other man’s nose to show he caught the joke. “Uhuh well then expect to be following me for a very long time Hee-chan, because if you think you can kill me that easily you better get in line” he stated with a slightly sadistic smile before looking over to the side.
