A black wolf with rather peculiar white markings and two colored eyes padded softly through a bit of lush grass. A permanent grin was spread across his muzzle as one lined ear flickered lazily atop his head. The male wolf, one of an always jovial nature, stopped for a brief moment to whisper a silent thank you to the being he worshiped as the mother of all creations for yet another wonderful day of life, before continuing on to stop and converse with a flower. He smiled and let out a chuckle as the nature loving wolf took in a deep breath of its pleasant scent before bidding it a due and moving on. His tail wagged rather happily as he went on and hoped to meet a new sister or brother today and perhaps have a pleasant talk about how glorious the day promised to be. He was, of course, the kind of wolf who thought everyone was his friend.

Everything had been so tranquil and serene these past few weeks that Owl's Song had been wandering around, the earth feeling very in sync with all the life around it. She had yet to meet a fellow wolf who could sense such a connection with the worldly things such as she did, but this wasn't a thought that bothered her much at all. She did, however, know that the wolves she had once lived among saw the world in such a fashion, being that she was raised with them before they were all separated.

But the doe colored she-wolf basked in a patch of sun that had shifted its way through the cover of the trees, her tail twitching every few moments. She was in such a state of relaxation that her eyelids kept fluttering and she scarcely even noticed the scent of the new wolf that was wandering leisurely toward her. When she first spotted him her eyes flew open widely and her neck began to bristle, but mostly from surprise rather than aggression. Being a lone wolf, you could never be too careful with who you ran into, as she had now learned.

"Hello there? Are you lost?" she gingerly called over to the male, noticing that he seemed to be lost in his own little world.

Faerie's ears pricked up in surprise, as his dreamily half shut gaze landed on a brown female with striking blue eyes like his one. A smile spread farther across his muzzle, if it was even possible, and his tail wagged faster. "Hail Sister!" he greeted her, though he slowed his steps encase she wished him not to come any closer. He might be a dreamer and often air headed, but there was a brain in that skull of his when it needed to be.

"Glorious day is it not? Praise the Earth Mother!" he said, almost at the top of his lungs as he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. He looked at her as he bowed his head slightly, studying her features. He was sure he had never seen her before, so he felt only right to introduce himself. "I'm called Faerie. What might you be called?" he grinned, sitting down on his haunches, waiting for her to either run him off or invite him over.

The black and white male seemed harmless enough, and she made sure that she took note of the puppy-like shimmer in his eyes and the wide and warm smile that spread itself across his maw. But still being rather shy to newcomers, her fur remained bristled upon the back of her neck while the rest of her fur was nice a smooth and her face remained gentle, not trying to scare him off. If anything she thought he was just being plain old adorable with his happiness to see her as if he were her pup. If she were to have pups, at least. That's what she would imagine their expressions may be.

"Er, hail to you, too!" she called back, unfamiliar with that form of greeting. "Yes it is a beautiful day today, isn't it?" She let the tip of her tail flop about in a happy and easy-going manner, trying to indirectly invite him to come closer to her. He seemed relaxed enough keeping his distance from her, but she would have a much better time conversing with him if he were closer to her.

"Faerie is a lovely name," she stated simply, a small grin plastering itself on her maw. "I am called Owl's Song. It is nice to meet you."

Faerie grinned and took the invitation to step closer, careful not to trample and flowers or grass that need not be. He curled himself up gently upon the grass not a few feet away from her as he let out a content sigh. He had been traveling all morning and it felt nice to rest his paws a bit.

His attention turned back to her as she gave him her name. "Aah Owl's Song. What a lovely and fitting name for a sister of the earth!" he said in his hippy like daze of a voice, his eyes seeming to flutter shut. "I am so lucky to meet another sister on another wonderful day of life the Earth Mother has given us!" he said again, almost like a happy go lucky chant. If it wasn't clear before, it would soon be, by the repeated use of the words Earth Mother, that this wolf had some very strange views on life. He was very much in tune with nature and worshiped and cared for all aspects of it, from the tiniest blade of grass to the most violent gust of wind. All life was courtesy of the "Earth Mother" and her "Sister Moon" and so he gave thanks to them every day for anything and everything.

His tail gently thumped the ground as he rolled over softly like a pup, wiggling his back against the grass to subdue an itch. His two colored eyes peered at her through a half shut puppy like grin. "What does my sister have planned today?" he asked curiously, always glad to talk about anything and everything.

She smiled and giggled lightly at him, all in a friendly manner, of course! He was amusing her, and he was acting much too adorable! He was certainly a handsome lad, as well! The way he ranted and raved about the delicate earth only further seemed to convince her that he was as friendly and harmless as the puppy-like features he displayed in his body language and facial expressions, seeming to put her more at ease internally. She let out a sigh, allowing a fresh, deep breath of air return into her lungs as she laid her own body down comfortably and flicked her ears tightly in his direction. Sure, she had thought to herself what seemed like only a matter of moments ago that she wished to find another wolf that respected and loved the earth that they lived on as much as her, but she didn't expect to find another so swiftly, and to this extreme! Regardless, it was sort of nice that he just so happened to wander by; company was welcomed greatly after being lonesome for so long!

"It is a nice day today, isn't it? Perfect weather, pretty clear skies above the tree tops; it feels lovely today," she responded warmly yet quietly with her shy smile. Her tail tip wiggled rapidly with anxiety, naturally being nervous of strangers (which so happened to be everyone right now, being that she was a lone wolf) as she unintentionally stared him down. He certainly was an odd one! But odd wasn't so bad, situations depending. Odd ones were just a little bit different, and then again, who wasn't?

She kept her eyes glued and ears perked up curiously at him as he comfortably rolled around on the ground, itching his own back and flat out relaxing himself completely in her presence. She tilted her head towards him slightly, carefully leaning to her left side in order to keep her feather in place tucked away behind her ear. She blinked for a moment, momentarily giving her eyes a break as she tried to figure him out some more. He still seemed friendly and harmless enough, at least! "Nothing out of the ordinary today," she said quietly, her mouth barely moving. By this time, no matter how harmless they may seem, she would have usually run away in fear and anxiety. But something kept her paws firmly plastered to the ground, perhaps her brain longing for some form of socializing after such a long, long time away from sharing words with someone other than herself.
