Vanadis was roaming. Alright, so it was more of a 'taking a walk' than it was actual 'roaming', but the latter just sounded cooler, OK? No-one wanted to hear the story about the awesome senshi who went for a nice walk to get some fresh air before bedtime, alright, they wanted action, dark alleys, big and mysterious words! Well, she had one of those down at least - how she kept ending up in these ominous dark alleys, she had no idea. Maybe she ought to start having an actual destination for these walks (no, wait, these patrols, right, that was it) instead of just willynilly going wherever looked interesting. Then maybe she'd stop ending up in situations like these.

Dark alleyways were one of Nickeline's favourite places to hang, quite literally. There were ledges and pull down ladders and rooftops that gave her plenty of places to practice her parkour. She didn't have much time to practice it as a civilian and all the hair she had as a corrupted senshi sort of made things even more difficult but on the same hand she also had the benefits and skills of a corrupted senshi to help cover the flaws. It worked, and over the months she had gotten quite a few new experiences. She was still an amateur by far but she was overcoming many of the issues she had started her hobby with.
Tonight she opted to simple sit over the ledge of a boarded off window, looking down at the garbage cans below her and then across the alleyway at the moths that fluttered by a street lamp. They were so attracted to the light they found themselves burned. It was a good analogy for many of the Chaos soldiers in Destiny City. Perhaps the best analogy now though was she was a tiger and rodent had just innocently crept into her den. Her alley was no longer empty, a white moon senshi walking through it almost aimlessly. This happened so much, all she had to do was wait and they would come.
As quiet as she could she leaned herself over the edge, hanging onto the ledge while she waiting for the perfect moment. She waited for Vanadis to get close enough to her and then she pushed herself off the edge. A blur of silver was all that anyone would catch right away from the rooftops of above as as the light glistened off her hair.
She hit the ground sooner than she hopped and instead of being on top of Vanadis she ended up in front of her. It wasn't a good position to be so while hoping to get the white moon senshi before she realized just what had happened she balled hands into a fist and went to punch the senshi. Now normally she liked to punch people in the face but given the situation she decided that she'd aim for the area that gave her the best chance of hitting. She aimed for the middle of the senshi, her gut, since it was the largest area on her.

She probably hadn't reacted as quickly as she should have, all things considered. There was a brief second of 'what the hell' as the silver-haired girl landed in front of her, and then instinctively, Vanadis went to dodge. Throwing herself to the right as quickly as she could - but not quickly enough - the punch that was set to land squarely in her midsection instead just grazed one of her sides. It was probably still going to bruise, though. But there wasn't time to think about that now; she had to act before the other went to attack her again. "Wha- what are you doing?!" Truth be told though, she'd much rather avoid a fight if at all possible. And who knew, this could all just be one big misunderstanding! The girl with the really ( really] long hair could've mistaken her for someone else or, or... Er. "I don't want to fight you, so j-just let it go and we can both be on our merry way or, um, something." But just in case, she kept her stance defensive, ready to dodge at a moment's notice. In theory, at least.

Nickeline felt her fist just graze against the side of this senshi and under her breath she cursed. A hit was a hit but it wasn't nearly as satisfying as what she had intended. She looked at her intended victim with a grin but it didn't stay long, not when she began to spatter around some sort of stuttering spiel about how they fighting was not necessary? What did she think being a senshi was? Well whatever she thought it was, Nickeline was going to prove it was necessary.
There was no mistake. Nickeline's face twisted unpleasantly and then a small space between her lips grew and a small whisper escaped it, "Breathless," she said with a thick accent. Out of the only words Nickeline had said minus a murmur of a curse, it probably made little sense to Vanadis as a reply to the questions she said. She had no intention of replying because that meant she'd have to actually bother translating half of what the senshi said. Breathless was the only word she needed and she only waited a second for the senshi magic to take affect on Vanadis before she attacked again, this time aiming for Vanadis' face.

Okay, so the other girl wasn't really a big talker, but that didn't mean that this had to end unpleasantly, ri-- Purely in reflex, her hands shot up to her throat as her eyes widened as her mouth worked fruitlessly to breathe. Vanadis threw panicky eyes at the girl in front of her, a lot more scared now than she'd been when she'd initially been attacked. This person, this girl - whatever she was - had stolen her breath. Quite literally. Oh gods, was she going to die like this, in some stupid dingy alley, killed by someone she didn't even know the name of? It was looking increasingly likely as the other girl acted quickly and punched the panicking Vanadis in the face. And wow, could she ever punch. The red-head reeled back, staring at her opponent with shocked eyes - that was so, so definitely not cool. It took a while more before Vanadis was capable of focusing enough to retaliate, though; but as her breath came back, so did her wits. She was pretty sure nothing was broken, but seriously, attacking someone while they were (proverbially) down was just not nice, OK, and the Senshi of Wards' retaliation came in the form of an attempted tackle. She hadn't entirely thought the attack through, but whatever, gotta rely on your instincts in battle and all that, right? At least that was what she was sticking to if anyone asked her why she'd chosen to go for a tackle.

Good golly, there was just something primal and absolutely wonderful about the faces people made when their breath was stolen from them. What made it even better than ******** awesome? Punching them in the face before they understood even a hint of what had just happened to them. How to ruin super ******** awesome? Have the b***h not fall on the ground but instead have her charge toward her.
Nickeline didn't like this senshi already, opting to use her elbow at the close proximity of the tackle to try and once again steal the breath of the senshi through new means. Who needed magic? ******** yeah, elbows in the gut! The force of the tackle had knocked her off her feet after the impact though, not having braced herself for the force. She rolled, the balls of her hair getting tangled in the dirt that was on the alley ground.
She squealed blue bloody murder, her hands desperately trying to get the dirt out as she narrowed her eyes upon the senshi who caused this.
Ephebe Silly punching bag, look what you did. <3

The effect of not thinking one's tackle through - and the sharp elbows of one baddie girl with extremely long hair - was that Vanadis was currently writhing on the ground, hands on her stomach. She still didn't know who this girl was, but whoever she was, she really knew how to hit hard, OK. Wincing at the awful sound of the other girl squealing, the redhead rolled over with a groan and managed to get up on her knees, at least. "S-seriously, who are you?" She squinted at the girl with as much of a mean look as she could muster between the pain in her face and the one in her gut. It probably wasn't much, but after this much pain Vanadis felt like she at least had to make an effort.

After the dirt was sufficiently out of her hair Nickeline simply smiled at Vanadis when she demanded to know who she was. Maybe it was because she liked keeping her sadistically in the dark while she pummeled her or maybe just because she didn't understand fully what she was asking and the default was to smile. Either way, the smile quickly grew as she caught sight of the expression on the other senshi's face. Oh, it was priceless, so priceless. To Nickeline, it looked like someone crossed a turtle with a porcupine.
She'd gotten to her feet by this time, her heels clicking on the ground as she ran back at Vanadis getting ready to kick her in the face if she didn't get off her feet and fight.

Whoever the other girl was, this was beginning to become quite creepy. Heck, Vanadis would have preferred another ranting Negaverser on a crusade to this quiet, focused opponent who was really starting to creep her out. So distracted was she by her thoughts, the redhead nearly didn't see the kick coming in time - acting entirely on instinct, Vanadis went for the ground, trying to get as flat as possible. Her opponent's kick swooped over her, somewhat harmless in that it managed to get some strands of hair and yank on them, but didn't get her in the face at least. Quickly rolling to the side and getting to her shaky feet, it finally occurred to her that talking was not going to solve this encounter. In any way, shape or form. She needed to get out of here, and quick, before this escalated more than it already had. But her opponent was fierce and she was pretty sure it wouldn't go down well if she tried to run now, which meant that she'd have to fight at least a little more. As well as she could. Darting over to her opponent, Vanadis clumsily aimed a kick at the other girl's midsection.

Nickeline was quite creepy. She habitually hung above dark alleys and watched people as they did things below. She didn't speak, typically, and just observed. If anyone thought that wasn't creepy, then there was a problem. She also liked to punch people in the face for no reason other than them being powered up, so nice, right? Yeah.
The surprise of her coward opponent actually attacking had caused her to take the blow with a loud groan as her body fell over, her hands keeping her weight up by holding onto her knees. You wanted to play like that? There was a grin crawling across Nickeline's face and it said: Game On. She played coy for a minute and then when she had the best opportunity she swung her foot at Vanadis' stomach, hoping so badly to drive that heel right in there.
