Eilaer headed down the hallway that contained the doors to the god's quarters. It felt odd being here, despite the fact that he had been invited. Echo had offered him an open invitation of sorts when they parted ways last time- hopefully she would not mind him coming to visit so soon. He stopped before the door that seemed to match the description she gave him- 'behind the door of supplicants, arms raised in song as they move along winding paths to find the lands of the dead.' It seemed a bit of dark symbolism, but funeral dirges had their place too- some of them were among the most beautiful songs he had ever heard in fact.

He ran a hand through dirty blonde hair behaving as if it made some sort of difference in his appearance. It always behaved as it liked no matter how much he tried to tame it. What was the worst that could happen? She might not be at home- though that seemed somewhat unlikely since she had said before she did not get out much. The winged elf finally decided to knock, before he talked himself out of it via fretting too much.

The door was quick to open, revealing not a lady of bright blue eyes, but a taller man, with blue shades tending to the darker ends of the spectrum. His long hair were pinned back up behind his head, and on his pale skin was tattooed music notes, which might serve to tell Eilaer that he was indeed at the right place.

"Hello. Are you here to see the lady ?" Concerto asked. Echo certainly did not get as many visitors as she used to... This might be a very good thing indeed.

He had no idea who he might have expected to answer the door. For split second he might seem a bit surprised, until he saw the music notes. It seemed he was at the right place after all. The bard smiled, now feeling considerably better about the situation. "Yes, assuming she is not too busy for a visitor?" Hopefully she was not, since this was not exactly a planned visit.

"I would be quite surprised if she was." The man nodded, closing the door after the bard had come inside. "She was in her music room, I believe... If you would follow me ?"

The space inside was definitively large - too large for what the space in between doors in the hall would present. The center was a green, vibrant garden in full bloom, topped by a large, open ceiling. The path Concerto took would follow along the edges of it, so Eilaer would get a good look.

Well...damn. The place was definitely larger than it appeared to be from outside. It certainly was very pretty though. Probably all done by magic of some sort or another, which while he could not understand the gritty details of how such things were done he could still appreciate the results.

"If I am allowed to ask, what is your name?" Eilaer was not sure how exactly things worked with gods, but it was an attempt at polite conversation.

Concerto could not help but be amused at that. The amused grin was obvious when he turned to look back at the winged elf. Certainly he was not thinking that he... ?!

"I am Concerto." He said simply. "Servant to the Lady Music." He certainly had nothing against polite conversation, no. "And you would be... ?"

"My name is Eilaer." As to what the bard may or may not have been thinking, the aoide would probably never know. It made sense that gods would have servants, they could not possibly do everything themselves. Especially if what he heard was true and there really were as many worlds as stars in the new sky. "How does one become a servant of a god anyway?" It was a bit of a gamble, Concerto may not be able or willing to answer, still he was curious.

Ho oh oh... that kind of visitor, uh ? Well... That was interesting. "It is easy to serve and believe. You only need to do so." The aoide nodded, and stopped before a door, but did not open it quite yet.

Maybe he should not spill this, really. There was little work to do for the three brothers as it was, but... But there was something special about this one, he could tell. That gleam in his eyes that told him that he would find the answer to his question sooner or later. And maybe... Eventually, if they did manage to convince Echo to, well, act like a goddess...

"To become aoide from mortality is a completely different matter. I have not heard of any deity doing such a thing ever since the rebirths started..." He remembered his own raising only vaguely. It was a mixed blur of every emotion rolled into one. He had given Echo everything, and she had given him everything in return, through... He knew that the connection was different now, than it once had been.

If Eilaer had known what sort of thoughts were going through Concerto's head he would have denied them all. He was just....a bard. Friend seemed far too familiar a term, despite the fact that he had enjoyed her company immensely when they spent the afternoon together. Though, he did think she was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen in his life. Still, no, the aoide's train of thought was totally, utterly wrong.

"Music is what I live for. I am a bard." He nodded when Concerto answered him, perhaps it was not quite the answer he was fishing for but it was more than he expected.

"I see... Hm. Perhaps you should meet with my brother, one of those days." It was Alto who had dragged them all into this, really.

But Eilaer was there for a whole different reason, was he not ? So, the aoide rose his fist and knocked on the door lightly. "My lady ? You have a visitor."

"A visitor ?" A familiar voice came from behind that door. She had a feeling she knew who it was... Who else would seek her out ? "Just a moment. please..."

She needed to finish this sheet, then she would have all the time in the world.

"Perhaps." Eilaer had no issue waiting patiently. The bard shifted the bag he brought with him, it contained some tea blends that he thought Echo might like. He had not brought his harp, perhaps in hindsight he should have.

Click to show.It was, indeed, only a few minutes before Echo did come out of the room - and Eilaer could catch the glimpse of various instruments and a very, very messy desk covered in paper, pens, and books before the door closed. "Eilaer... I am glad you came." She smiled. Music was really glad to see him, it... got lonely here, at times, and it was when she was lonely that everything here started to remind her of Nergal, and that melancholy overtook her. "What where you up to today ?"

He smiled when she appeared in the doorway- at least she seemed pleased to see him. "Coming to visit you, other than that I have no idea." If Echo had been busy or not at home he had no idea what he would be doing right now.

She was being a poor hostess, really. "Would you like something to eat or drink ? Tea ?"

"I got a look at it when we were walking back this way." He offered his arm, as it was the polite thing to do, not even noticing (or minding) she was being a 'poor' hostess. "I brought tea actually, if you wanted to try some other kinds from the inn we went to before."
