Step one: Make crafting table. Step two: Make a pickaxe out of stone. Step three: Make a furnace. Step four: Dig a really, really deep hole. Step five: Make a pickaxe out of iron. Step six: Make a compass. Step seven: Do whatever the ******** you want.
Getting lost is more dangerous than getting blown up, I swear.

I will never play Minecraft again. My friend let me borrow his account to run around a Hogwarts map someone had made, I got trapped in so many walls and fell in so many holes. No one told me how to break blocks so I spent maybe an hour of the entire time I played stuck in something. And when I finally learned to break walls, I went the wrong way and I think I ended up in the Matrix.
Then I drowned and lost all the diamonds that were hidden in the castle. emo

After making a compass: Make a map. Should make it much easier to get back to your lair (assuming your lair is not within sight of your spawning point).

I wanted to play Minecraft, but I think I would get bored quickly with it so i wasn't going to spend twenty something dollars on something i would just give up on in like 2 weeks. I just stick to watching the Yogscast and Toby play, and it gets frustrating just watching xp

My compass decided to point somewhere in the middle of the ocean for basically no reason. I was just about to assume that I was permanently lost.
Thank god for random luck pointing me back to my castle. I was 'bout to kiiiiiillll something.

You missed a step: Make a bed. 'cause sleeping in it changes where you respawn. Death may happen, but at least you'll poof back up at home.

I got a love/hate thing with minecraft since i love watching the yogscast and a few others play it but i hate that i get bored so quick with it when i try playing. I'd like to do some multiplayer survival stuff for fun but i don't really know anyone well enough who has it...and i don't have my own account so i have to steal my brothers if i have the urge to play.

I gave up on Minecraft when the demo wouldn't even work for me.
Yeah, I figured that was a bad sign.

I guess my greates issue with Minecraft, is how it is a fairly big game made in Java.
