I'm pretty sure a good chunk of us might be willing to donate to the mule to make a grand amount for the Ball next year, but I haz a quick idea to see if we pass the time and also get a kick out of things while we're at it. Why not make a zOmg team? zOmg materials sell well in the Marketplace and with little farming we can make a good 10k in 15 minutes while all of us play together.
Just throwin' it out there.

I think that Poy had tried to do that last year, I wasn't much a part of it, so I don't know how successful it was.
I myself only play zOMg every once in a while, but if we do get enough people playing it sounds like it could do greatly.

I know I may sound like a broken record but I own a B/c shop albeit I did do the lines myself, but nevertheless I figured I could get a few ball members here to download the lines and help color up some pets and do a month or longer event for the ball to help raise money. I also want to try and get more peeps to come to the shop and get comfortable enough to where they would come back to buy and stay and chat, maybe even roleplay. All those that help get to make 2 free pets for themselves or a friend and the payouts would change as I would not profit from this and all the money would go to the ball mule or my shop mule(which everyone would have access too as long as they take no more than what was earned from their pets to give to the guild not take any items as I trust that they wouldn't) and passed off to the ball mule.

Gwen: I noticed you posting about it, which made me want to have PR do an Annual Ball specific event as well, maybe a masquerade as it was to donate to the guild.
I thought your idea was brilliant and original, and I totally wished I had thought of it. Here I had been involved with the B/C world since 2009. I was actually surprised by the number of b/cers who were talking about the ball this year, and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. So yeah, its a great idea and I actually have a set of lines that don't really belong to a shop, or have shading templates that we could possible use as well. I bought them with the intent of using them, and they didn't make it into the shop I had originally planned on. I also have a one line piece of shading work that could be used as well. But if this is mostly geared toward getting attention to your shop, then by all means we can use your lines, just know I have some in storage. And maybe your shop and Project Reformation could possibly do a joint event of some kind.
Kudos to your idea! I love it, I do.

Thank you very much Jess. That means a lot to me. I have never really had great ideas or have the Idea's I have had, have always been shot down. So being told that i have a great Idea that can be put into play at some point, just means the a lot and I mean that. I not only want to attention to the shop but help raise money for the ball so we can the lines/templates you have as well as a type of familiar or special event item specifically for the ball. I am hoping that the flip side to the event will bring in people that want to come back for more.

Mind I ask what shop you are now a part of? You know it can also affiliate with the ball, and that too can probably draw in some attention.
This also sort of reminded me of the White Ribbon Unity event they threw in the b/c forum, to get all the b/cers together and to just have fun.
And there is never such a thing as a bad idea, just a poorly executed one.

I added a Pixel Art shop to the list of ideas that we could possibly do. This would be all these pixel or soft brush items that we draw (say stuffed animals) The art is a once done thing, but you can sell that same art many times over to get more money out of it. So if we do this, all we would need is a theme or idea for the pixel shop and an artist or two to draw up a few items for it.

You already have an art shop, but perhaps we could add an art auction as well? I participated in one last year, and I'm pretty sure it was quite successful?? It's also a little bit better for artists that can only commit a certain amount.

So we are going to reycle the 10th AURB Art shop?
alright.
and we did have an art auction, but many of the people there said they liked the shop better because it takes so much time to do large pieces compared to the smaller pieces they sell in the art shop.

To keep things organized, try to make sure that any Art Shops are okay'd by the Art Committee! This is how we're keeping track of what artist is working on what and making sure that no one is overextended for time or energy on art projects - that way all projects should get finished on a timely manner, as well.

Also, I suggest a sketch shop with the option of fully completed pictures. Sketches can be completed in between 0-2 hours, so no one is waiting a very long time for them.

I would mostly be using my pets unless I get permission for iSexy_Goddess and Draconian_Peacock to use their pets.
