⋆ History :: When Anthea was only 15, she was reaped for the Hunger Games. Even though she protested, her older sister volunteered for her. During her older sister’s time in the Games, Anthea was distraught and refused to watch the Games. When her sister died, it took a lot for Athea not to fall apart for her sibling’s sake. She has always felt bad for letting her older sister volunteer for her, so she promised that she would volunteer for her siblings if they ever got reaped. When her sister, Alexandria, began to want to go into the Games to avenge her sister, she felt against it. She openly expresses her disdain at this, since she wants her siblings to stay safe. Anthea feels as if Alexandra gets the wrong idea when she criticizes her for wanting to go into the Games, which is pretty much a death wish.
