rofl Am I alone? Just cut my waist length hair and now it's like, collarbone length.

..Not it. :'D
Hair was literally butt-length, I only lost four - five inches when I got it layered. :D

Normally I have my hair about shoulder length just cuz its easier to manage. But I haven't cut my hair since June of last year.

@Anna: How do you not go insane from the maintenance?

@Bijou: Noice. A few inches past the shoulder is the magic length. Short enough for easy brushing, but long enough to stay out of the way.

Gah my hair feels so short. No haircut regret, but yeah.

Definitely caught in the same cycle. I chopped off 10 inches some weeks ago, so I'd say I'm a little bit past step 3.

Toon -- My hair is super low maintenance? :'D
Like, srsly. About the only thing I do to it is wash and brush it. Heck, there's times where I get out of the shower, and don't even brush it for a few hours, just cause the curls look pretty.. Then again, I can get away with it because I brush my hair before showering. >>;
That, and I've had long hair for so long that I'm just used to it.
//started growing it back out from shoulder length again in.. fifth grade? Sixth grade? The summer in between?

@Ivy: *brofist*

@Anna: Does it never tangle? O: That was my final straw, keeping the tangles brushed out was like a full time job for me.

For me at least, it wasn't so much any final straws, but more like one day I just woke up and thought, "Screw it. Why am I trying to look like Sadako?"

I haven't cut my hair since grade school; however I do have a similar cycle with dying my roots.
