Formed durning Kazehana Dotou's reign as daimyo of Snow Country, Yukigakure was created from his desire of having a strong military force that could rival the 5 Great Shinobi Nations. At that time the village was still small and weak but they had something that no other village had at the time. It was a special chakra armor unique only to ninjas of Yukigakure, with it, they were able to amplify their own chakra power as well as negate the effects of opposing ninjutsu and genjutsu. The armor also granted them the ability to negate a limited amount of physical attacks too.
For 10 years, Kazehana Doutou's reign remained undisrupted but the reappearance of his niece and supposedly heir to Snow country brought upon unexpected distress and happiness. For years he's been looking for the 'treasure' that his brother had kept hidden from him. Certain that his missing niece had the answer, he was determained to capture her and get his treasure. His followers were Roga Nadare, Fuyukama Mizore, and Kakuyoku Fubuki, it was also the three of them that made up the first shinobi population of Yuki.
His plan had been simple, send out his three Snow shinobi to go and capture the missing princess but the unexpected reinformant of Konoha's own team 7 put some dents on his plan. Though in the end he got his hands on the key that would lead him to the 'treasure', his plan was ultimately foiled when the legendary Uzumaki Naruto destoryed his armor with Resengan and the force of the attack sent him flying against one of the generator walls. There was no great treasure and there never was, all that was left over was heat generator by the former daimyo, Kazehana Sousetsu and his dreams of allowing the people of his village to experience Spring.
