Any criticisms would be helpful, you can never stop learning with this kind of thing

wow that's pretty awesome :0 your pretty talented in this form of art (i especially like the first one with how as the cardboard rips she just is kinda gone with it). I'm not sure how you could improve :0 maybe you should try your talents in a different style of art. Like expand your horizons ^^
Thanks for that 3nodding really nice of you. i think your right about expanding my horizons, i tend to stick with things i know well which is not always a good thing. i want to try my hand out at digital art but I'm going to have to do a lot of learning first...

On the third one where is the lighting coming from? I can't tell very well... and also maybe add a little more detail to the eyebrows as well it just looked like the person in the pic had no eyebrows and then painted them on.
well it's quit impressive ^^ You may even be able to sell that as a real artist. I know I'd buy it. From experience I find that the best way to learn something new is to just jump into it and get your hands dirty smile Good luck on expanding your horizons i hope you will share with us all smile There should also be people here posting if you need help with figuring things out. At least i hope so anyways sweatdrop

Still i applaud you on what you have i have tried paint and it is hard as ********! So i can really apprciate someone like you who can make paintings like these. I love how you pained the skin on these and the color choice especially i like how it has depth and isn't flat... a crime i am somewhat guilty of...

i find that achieving something that doesn't look flat to be one of the hardest aspects! i usually use acrylics so i can experiment with a range of different colours and tones and constantly layering, its a tedious process but i found that when i started using less obvious colours for skin tones like greens blue and sometimes oranges it really complimented the shape. would love to see some of your guys work 3nodding
