He's heard from Bix. He's heard from Ofelia. The only people he hasn't heard from are Tori and Gale. But Gale was a Full Hunter at the time, which spoke volumes of the younger man's competence over Before's, which made him less likely to worry. Not to disparage Tori's achievements, but she was his best friend ;;

It had been a while since Tori had heard from Before since at least with his last text that she had gotten from him when he had left the island. There had been so much that had happened since then and Tori had totally forgotten that she could text her best friend. She had been wondering to what he was up to and how he was fairing so far. But she had been trying to read between bouts of her trying to get a hold of her anger as she had gotten the texts that he was sending her. As Aklin snickered at his Hunter to which she huffed and didn't reply to him at all. Quote: Text to BeforeYes, I'm alright Before. As she smiled a little to see that he was worried about her. The Misty had silenced his phone at this point, he'd learned the error of his ways of not adjusting the settings according to his environment. But at the first hint of vibration, he was quick to pull out the device and it continued to vibrate. Again and again from the equally quick succession of messages from Tori. He knew she was fine, at least he assumed she was fine. Hearing her phone going off as she took it out of her pocket to see who it was from. Tori did smile some to see that it was from her best friend, but while reading his message she didn't know how much to say or what to say. Tori could still feel that anger lingering around something she wish would just stop. The Lifer didn't know how much the Misty knew since he had been off island. She did want to have Before around but then she didn't at the same time since she didn't want him to see how angry she could get. Since it could be something that Tori could regret later on. Before couldn't help but crack a smile at Tori's response. Punching walls hurt like a mother ******** but sometimes the physical hurting was better than the emotional one. While reading the the message that Tori had gotten from Before she fidgeted with her phone on what she wanted to talk about as she was just unsure about all of what happened. Since not nice things were said but mostly her saying it to her weapon. Well she really never hit a wall at all since she knew it would hurt if she did. Tori was just unsure on how much to tell with her weapon telling her just to get it over with. Quote:

Before chewed on his lip as he read the first of the messages. Oh s**t, it wasn't something Tori wanted to talk about. ********, he just messed that up, didn't he? Guuuuuuuuh!!! The Misty wasn't able to keep up the bout of self-deprecation for long because more messages arrived. As teal eyes stared at the screen, Before felt himself... for lack of a better word wilt at Tori's second text. When they talked to each other about their past, there was always one specific person the Lifer referred to with something that was part reverence, part terror, and part resentment. And that was Tori's mother.
Before was glad, in a schadenfreudian sort of way, that his own parents had never taken to treating him with the same amount of strictness. They dealt with him in a more absent fashion, throwing money at him and the problems rather than dealing with the root of it all. But right now was not the best time to be an arm-chair psychologist. Rick could walk in any minute and catch him texting Tori. Before figured it was high time he got to the barracks. The Moonie can't possibly chew him out for doing personal things on his personal time!
