Right now in private lessons I'm working on Concerto in D Minor (transcribed form Concerto in A Minor, Op.3 No.6 for violin) 3rd Movment by Vivaldi. In orchstra we are playing Drifen and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Now I've moved on to tackling Concerto for Two Violins.

^ ditto. Actually, the songs we're playing now are really cool and challenging. whee That's never happened before!
I'm, sadly, working on Mozart's third... have been for almost three weeks. sweatdrop In my own defence: the cadenza is difficult. There's just no way around it. I mean, it's not that hard, I guess, but it takes a lot of practice to get the double/ triple stops right.

I'm working on Beethoven's Violin Romance. I've always loved it, so I'm glad to be working on it. It's such a beautiful piece.
Also, there's some pieces my violin teacher has been nagging me about, but I've been ignoring those. God, I'm so awful sometimes. xp

Heh. Turns out my teacher assigned me the cadenza as an afterthought... I misunderstood and worked exclusively on the cadenza for two weeks. Then my teacher wanted to hear the actual concerto, and I played it two weeks out of practice. domokun

(Don't make fun of me xp ) I have a broken pair of headphones that only play the left side, which means when playing my Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue CD, every thing is quieted except for the violin and drums. I'm trying to learn Sean Mackin's parts for the violin, but it takes time.

Right now I'm polishing up the entirety of Vivaldi's Spring concerto. As for what I'm learning, that would be Vitali's Chaconne in...BLAST! I can't remember for the life of me...OHOHOH! g minor. ninja
In my orchestra (school orchestra) we're working up this cool modern thing called 'Legend' and this other thing called 'Modus a 4'. (notice how I call them things as my sucky orchestra is so unbelievibly --get this-- sucky that what we "play" could not really be called "music" as it sounds more like noise interpreted from shreds of paper. We need to learn a new piece by April...and yet our instructor has not introduced one to us (we need three pieces for the Heritage Festival competition in Chicago).
In my REAL orchestra (GTCYS) we're working up pieces by Sibelius, Tch..Peter Il...Pieter Il...that one 'Nutracker' guy ( sweatdrop ), Bach and Wagner.
Yeah, so... I have made another rare appearance (and by rare I mean in comparison to the majority of Gaia's users) which is weekly. Good news, I will be moving back to my original place of residence soon which means I will have internet every single day. Not sure if the overbearing maternal shadow will allow me on Gaia more than once a week, however. More updates as they come. *misses Gaia and the fuzzy friendly friendliness associated with it (most of the time)*

Heh. I think it's Peter Illyich... maybe. I love Vivaldi's Spring, and I want to get my quartet to work on it. However, we're only a quartet because we stubbornly insist unpon it; we lack a violist.
If you do get back on more frequently, and want to reclaim ownership of the guild, feel free to do so!

Yeah, I'm not sure about the frequent thing, and I was mostly struggling with the man's last name. I'm totally exhausted. I'm starting to think that I caught mono from my best friend in the world who just found out last week that she's had it for a month (that makes five of my friends so far this year who have had it. I REALLY don't feel like getting sick again after having meningitis. *shudders* bye y'all
