Krishna took a sip of his Kirin beer as he waited for his sushi boat to arrive. Normally he wouldn't give control over his dinner to any chef, but he had been to this little hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant before. He trusted their chefs to know what they were doing. The only indulgence he allowed himself was a plate of ebi nigiri. Both would be some kind in coming, however, and that left him time to watch the people around him.

The crowd was slow tonight, but there were a couple of interesting ones. The man three tables down, for instance, sucked on his edamame appetizer before actually eating it. He clearly wanted all the salt before the soy beans. (He wasn't hard on the eyes, either, which might have helped.) Further down he saw a little girl smearing her chopstick with wasabi--and any minute now, her parents were going to find out because she was about to stick it in her mouth. That would create a show for awhile. He might even have to order another beer.
