Stone Throw picked half-heartedly at the corpse beneath her paws. It was the remnants of another wolf's kill, so most of the edible bits had been torn away already. She let out a growl of disgust, batting the remaining tissue and bones to the side. Look at what she had become. A vulture feeding off the leftovers of others. It was sickening.
She wouldn't have been left in such a position if her mother had taught her a thing or two about strategic hunting before she left Stone on her own. But then again, her mother was useless at doing anything other than putting her down and comparing her to... to... ugh! She didn't even want to think about the sniveling precious wolf princess's name. The name left a sharp pain in her head and a bitter taste in her mouth. For now she was only slightly comfortable calling the spoiled brat her half-sister, only because it was true... in blood at least.
Letting out another growl, Stone started walking. Walking would get her mind away from thoughts of... family - a term she applied to the previously described very, very loosely. Perhaps she would wander into another leftover kill. Maybe there would be slower prey that she could take down herself. Anything to quell the gnawing hunger in her belly would do.

Pebble Speaker had been travelling for quite some time now, following after the strange she-wolf that spoke of her half-sister. It had been days since she had really ate and many more since she stopped travellin. Her goal was her sister, a sibling that she could perhaps bound with better than anyone else.
Not quite sure when the fantasy of having a close sister appeared, Pebble became restless in her pack. The snippets of stories circling around a lost sister catching her interest more than she dared admit to. It was almost like a dream come true when the strange she-wolf made her appearance at the packs edge. She offered her stories and details that only someone close to her sister would know. Including her name. Stone Throw. Her name kept with the tradition of the royal line. However.. it was different as well. Common perhaps?
Lifting her head, she stopped suddenly, realizing her guide was now missing, and in her place there was a scent. Another wolf... and an old kill. Closing her eyes she took another deep breath in. Yes, the scent was strangely similar. A pairing she could almost make out, yet couldn't.
Scanning the grounds once more, Pebble attempted to search for the haggardly she-wolf. Unfornately, it was of no avail. Growling in annoyance, Pebble moved forward towards the scent. Perhaps the stranger could give her clues.

Stone frowned as the smell of another wolf invaded her senses. She was not one that enjoyed the company of others, especially the company of those in these lands. Most times they were from the pack that had exiled her mother and in turn, her. However... she soon noticed that this scent was mixed with remnants of her mother's scent. How peculiar that her mother would come so close to her, yet stay away...
Her frown deepened, and her walk gradually sped into a run towards the strange scent that had come with her mother. Had she led them to her? Was it her mother's newest male conquest? Skidding to a stop a small ways away from the scent's origin, just in front of a small copse of trees, Stone's jaw dropped. It was not a male... Not it was... almost a mirror image of herself... Her jaw snapped back together at once as realization sunk in. A coat the same shade as hers, if not for the darker, speckled markings... She stared back into eyes that matched her own eerily. Her mouth curled into a snarl.
"You!" she spat. Her fur was standing on end, ears tucked back. Her sister had decided to come and visit. No doubt after having a grand old time with HER mother! But she should have known. Before her stood the wolf her mother wished she could be. "How dare you come here... so far away from your precious pack," she sneered.

It seemed Pebble didn't have to wander very far to find the unknown entity. For the scent that she had caught on the wind was now accompanied by a near mirror image of herself standing at a distance.
She could feel her heart skip a beat as excitement bubbled over her. This was her chance to shine, to bring her sister with her and to have what she always wanted. Only, in her emotional glee, Pebble failed to notice the anger overflowing from Stone. That was, until she spoke.
Snapping her eye back towards the half-sister, she felt her own fur bristle. Why in the world would she use a tone like that? Wouldn't she be happy she had come for her? Snarling, she kept still, allowing her sister to speak, and as the words slipped from her mouth, the angerier she became.
"How dare I?!" It seemed they both shared the harsh temper of their father, her eyes flashing dangerously. "I should be thanked. I came for you after hearing stories about you. You should be thankful!! I want to bring you back with ME!"
Pebble was confused, why wouldn't Stone have been happy for her sister to come out to see her? Shouldn't she be happy? At least she was being acknowledged!

Stone let out a bitter laugh, eyes narrowed at her sister. An ugly smirk split her face as she slowly advanced to circle her.
"So you came to bring me back to a pack that threw me away? How kind of you, sister" She spat out the last word like it was bile burning her throat. Baring her teeth, Stone let out a snarl. "Go back to chatting with my mother who adores you so. Go back to your pack that spoils you rotten. You're not welcome here, just as I am not welcome there"
