It didn't take long after Bazzite's shameful retreat for him to find a Negaverse captain patrolling nearby. Bloody, bruised and in tears, the lieutenant pleaded to be taken down to the Rift to report immediately to his general. Benitoite would need to hear about this latest development. The captain in question was more than happy to stop his patrol early - he was a lazy sort, stopping most of his efforts once he ascended to his current station. The duo was off in a blast of dark energy, the world shifting to a stop when they entered the familiar darkness of the Rift.

Bazzite was off like a rocket, tears blurring his vision. He didn't call for Benitoite, not yet. He pushed past corrupted senshi and other Negaverse agents alike until he neared the spot where his general usually was found. Benitoite liked the more quiet areas of the Rift and was usually seen reading or plotting out his next course of action. That's where his lieutenant had found him, falling to his knees beside Benitoite.

The bloodied lieutenant was panting, desperate to catch his breath. His face was mangled and bruised and it was shocking his nose wasn't broken as well. Who knows, it may have been and Bazzite had no idea. "Beni... B-Beni... you... you gotta..." Tears dropped to the floor and Bazzite was too ashamed to lift his head. In the first time since he'd joined ranks with the Negaverse, he was ashamed of his failures.

It was odd for Benitoite to be down in the rift, or in negaspace even, with what he had on his plate it was rare he came down here. Not to mention he also wasn't a huge fan of coming down here. But today he was down in the rift walking amongst the ruined remains of homes and possibly stores. He liked the quite, off beaten area, of the rift where people were less common to find and youma were more common.

There was no book in his hand, no notebook filled with information on the senshi he'd encountered, no plans going through his head. He was seeking the calm and quite solitude this area afforded him. His heels, the sound of them, and the odd and varied noises of the youma were the only sounds filling the air in this area. That calm was broken as someone came running and the blond whirled around as he felt the signal of a low ranked agent headed his way. And then he saw the familiar figure only there was blood and bruises marring the familiar figure.

As Bazzite dropped to the ground, onto his knees, Benitoite didn't hesitate in following him down onto his knees. One hand raised up so gloved fingers could touch and explore. "What happened?" He asked, worry coloring his words. Who had done this? He felt anger course through his veins and start to bubble and boil within him. "What have I got to do, Bazzite?" Tenderly he touched the others face, gloved fingers touching and gently skimming over abused flesh. "You need a doctor..." A hospital.

The lieutenant shook his head and moved his face away from the general's touch. Right now, he was too ashamed of his failure to feel his general's concern and pity. "N-no Beni... it's... I just tried... I tried so hard... 'n I still... I still..." Choking sobs overtook his form and Bazzite shook from their force. He sounded winded, exhausted. Tsui had taken a good chunk out of his face as well as his pride. His target hadn't even been Tsui, but the lieutenant was frivolous and careless and an embarrassment to the Negaverse.

An embarrassment to Benitoite, his general.

An embarrassment to his kingdom.

Sniffling, Bazzite briefly regained his ability to speak despite the blood and swelling on his face and jaw. "It was... see I was... I was out patrollin' and trying to get better an'... an' I saw this senshi, I remembered her from the big battle!" Another sniffle and the little ninja wiped some of the blood trickling down his face. His jacket was soaked at the shoulders. "...an' I wanted to make you proud so I attacked an'..."

He struggled to his feet, knees shaking. He'd never been beaten so badly. "I tried Beni but... outta nowhere this... this..." Bazzite's voice cracked with all his anger and shame. "b***h came outta nowhere... punched... punched me 'n I couldn't... I couldn't..."

More sobs overtook him. He couldn't speak.

For a moment all he wanted to do was take the taller agent into his arms and hold him, assure him, and make all kinds of promises that the other was ok and would be safe; that everything would be alright. But everything wasn't alright and wouldn't be, not now not after this. With Bazzite no longer in his arms he was able to remove his gloves. Laying them on the ground he reached out again, with bare fingers this time, and gently brushed the others face. "Oh, Bazzite." How upset he sounded, even as afire boiled inside of him just looking to boil right over and scold whoever was too close.

"You did good, going in to attack the senshi you saw. You did very well. But you got in too deep. I should have been there." He whispered, feeling guilt gnaw at him. He should have gone out with Bazzite, he shouldn't let Bazzite out of his sight when the other went out to patrol at least not yet.

The word b***h took him by surprise, he'd never heard that word leave the others lips and never thought he would, he stared at the pale blue haired lieutenant for several moments before he gathered the other into his arms. "It's alright, you did your best. We'll make you stronger. Right now though you need a doctor, or a hospital." Since a doctors office wouldn't be open this late. "I want you seen to and then, when your healed up, we'll work on it. I won't let this happen to you again..." He whispered this fiercely with a certain amount of confidence, finality, to his words.

The little ninja wobbled on his feet. He didn't realize he was so tired until he stopped running, the adrenaline wearing off. That stupid tiger spacepirate... she's enemy numero uno. Bazzite still wasn't sure what to make of the lacy one with the awful shield that made him feel bad when she was smashed into it. She was part of it too! She was his target initially because she didn't do much in their large ambush not too long ago. Lacy seemed like an easy target. Bazzite should have known she was a super senshi, one level higher than himself.

He should've scanned more often. He could have seen the tiger coming.

"N-no... no Beni I gotta... I gotta keep... trainin' an'..."

Bazzite sniffed and stumbled into his General. "...s-sorry Beni... I jus..." I don't know what else to do. I tried so hard and it wasn't good enough... Am I just a nuisance to you? To the Negaverse? Do they even want me here? Why'd they pick me if I can't win any battles or bring in any energy or... or... do anything right?! "I-i-i... I gotta... I got stuff... I gotta do...!"

If he'd had the courage, he would have collapsed into the General's arms and cried for hours, pouring praise and compliments upon him. Thanked him for taking the sniveling boy in after being kicked out of his parents' home. Thanked him for having the infinite patience and wisdom to put up with the little ninja where everyone else (save for Painite, bless her soul) would have walked away. Bazzite would have been alone in the Negaverse had it not been for his General.

While the other got back up so did the blond, his gloves left forgotten on the ground, his eyes focused on the taller agent of chaos. The other looked bad, horrible really, and he needed to consul him but Alexandre also knew the other needed to be gotten out of the rift and back home so he could be brought to the hospital.

"No, you need to see a doctor. Training now, as you are, won't do any good. If anything you'll just hurt yourself further and I don't want that. I don't want you hurting." If he could keep him safe, and still make him stronger and help him mature into an officer who could keep himself safe, he would. But Alexandre knew he couldn't wrap the other in some security blanket and keep him safe from the war. Bazzite had gotten into this war on his own, possibly even before Alexandre, and Bazzite needed to learn to fight and so to do that he couldn't be tucked away somewhere safe with rose tinted glasses firmly in place. As much as he wanted this, to keep him some innocent beacon in the darkness of war, it wouldn't be right or fair to anyone involved.

Wrapping his arms about the pale blue haired agent he held him close. "Come, lets get you to the hospital. I'll come up with a story and you can get patched up. When we get home I'll make you something to eat and you can rest." Nodding his head as he spoke, in order to try and convince the other to go along with his idea.

Bazzite wobbled and leaned heavily on his general. "It... that b***h she... she was Tsui. Tigers. Lotsa punching..." he mumbled. His jacket felt sticky and he tasted so much iron. So much metal. The lieutenant had never seen this kind of blood coming from him, let alone his face. He felt like such a failure. Such a disgrace. "...saw 'er at the ambush..."

There. Her name was out there, or whatever Bazzite managed to pick up. "I gotta... I gotta get'er back, Beni. I gotta... get stronger."

After a few moments of heavy breathing, the little ninja's body gave up most of the struggle and he simply clung to his general like a child would his mother. His strength was leaving him and his body grew so heavy when the boy exerted enough effort to stay upright. "...Beni...? Where we... where we goin'...?" It was obvious that even if Bazzite wanted to disagree with his general's plan and continue training, he had no strength to fight him off. Teleportation may render him unconscious and therefore much easier to transport.

Tsui....she was still alive? But how? He'd sliced her and than she'd thrown herself off a roof and into a pool. Not to mention the youma in the pool that he'd told to finish her. If she was alive than the youma was dead. But beyond that she was still alive and she had hurt Bazzite. Biting his bottom lip he found himself wanting to leave Bazzite here and go hunting for tigers but the thought was put from his mind right now; he needed to get Bazzite help.

"You will, I'll make sure of it. You'll get her back." But not before I get her... He thought silently to himself as he grasped the other and bent to scoop him like a groom would lift their new wife to walk them over the threshold. "We're leaving here. Just don't leave me." He didn't know how badly the other was injured, how could he know?

Holding the other close he had a long trek back up from the rift and when he finally had made it he was able to teleport with Bazzite right into the hallway in their house, he didn't need someone seeing him just appearing in the house and the upstairs hallway was window free and safe. Now to get downstairs, with Bazzite, and get them to the suv so he could get the other to the hospital.
